I use a VERY thick towel…I believe it’s called a car wash towel. I lay it on a flat surface and lay the clean wig on top of it, folding the towel over it and press down. The towel absorbs a lot of the water and that way I don’t have to shake the wig or let it drip dry. It dries much faster.

Hey Dawn! I love your ideas. Yeah I’ve been using it for a while now and it definitely helps big time!
But the last time I think I had too much buildup, and both of the wigs were kind of heavy and overdone. Too much product and they were still clumpy…
I like your tip of using shampoo with baking soda first. I will definitely try that.
    And rinse, Rinse, rinse!!!
By the way, I have a fun tip for you too.
I use those clamps that you used to close up potato chip bags… On a hanger, to clamp two sides of the Wig and it’s more open.
I like it because I can even turn the Wig completely around to another side. I don’t have the luxury to dry mine outside…
And so this helps the drying process go a lot faster for me indoors.
I can even hang two wigs on one hanger if I want to.

HI Dawn did you let them sit overnight in the bambu mix? I always let it sit overnight, love this stuff.
Also, here is a tip you might try on your heat friendly wigs that are frizzy. Long so keep reading lol. I have seen numerous posts about dry, frizzy, tangled ends and the before photo here on my Mesmerized was my post regarding this issue. I received a fabulous tip from a wig sister and these photos were taken a few hours apart.
The tip is dip your ends in boiling water.
(Noting this is for HF Wigs - I have no clue if this is okay for regular synthetic)
The boiling point of water is 100°C/212°F so if you’re thinking it’s too hot, we use higher heat on our hair tools. Spritzing your fibers with water helps with the heat application so dipping your fibers in hot water makes a lot of sense to me.
Boil water, remove it from the stove, dip your ends and brush a few times (used a regular brush on my straight wigs) and within a few dips, I had renewed fibers that I swear came out softer than the day they arrived. I tried with Wavy Wigs but refrained from brushing in fear that might straighten them so after dipping I let them cool before a wide tooth comb and all was fine.
If you have tried it all (heat tools, silicon spray, Bambu mix deep conditioner, etc.) then what have you got to lose?! If this still doesn’t work then sadly your fibers are kaput and you either have to say goodbye or chop it off but don’t give up and use this tip!!
I am careful not to get the cap wet as I’m unsure what boiling water would do it it but your fibers will definitely thank you! I could barely get a comb through the above mess but the after photo had my fingers going through that wig like a hot knife through butter.

So I watched this with the sound off ( I cannot use earpieces and could not play it with sound) and I read the comments. But I have a few questions.
    1. How long did you soak these wigs in the silicon?
    2. I saw you finger-combing the Estetica beforehand. Did you find that the silicon released tangles at all?
    3. Does this help with the frizzy, fried ends so common on heat-friendly wigs? I have not seen the silicon work on that myself but perhaps it needed more time. If not. I may try the boiling water!!
