- Noriko Alva in an updo! I love the color Iced Mocha R and was pleasantly surprised by how much I have enjoyed wearing Alva. I have worn this wig every day for over 5 weeks now and it's held up like a dream!

I am absolutely going to buy Alva now that I have seen it worked over. I hesitated because most ladies wear it flat and I couldn't tell what the wig would do. So thank you for showing it the way you did. I have missed seeing you so much. You were the one who encouraged me to do wig reviews.

Pete really saved my life - he has become my purpose in life and if not for him, I might not have made it out of my tumultuous situation in Fresno when the world suddenly came to a halt. I have never been more happy with a wig purchase - do you like bob styles?

Noriko hairstyles that they do, the way they cut and shape them, and the colours, makes people look so easygoing, happy, and relaxed. I wonder why Noriko wigs always do that. And for a lot of ppl, Noriko is their first wig I noticed.
You are so right about Noriko! I have only tried a handful from the brand but lately, they all really agree with me the most right now 💕 I have had my eye on a few Belle Tress styles but they are just WAY over priced in my opinion - or I just can't afford it 💞

Now that I'm retired, I can't buy like I used to (i have an embarrassing amount of wigs!). I have to be strategic with all my purchases now 🥴

Oh Dianne, I hope you are right - I am still finding my way back to life after completing losing my identity. My life is so completely different from anything I have ever known, I find myself fighting homesickness. I do feel a lot better and more surefooted now. I waited too long to get back into wigs and really forgot how to wear them lol! I am so happy to have stumbled across Alva! What other styles can you share with me that are in your favorites?

So glad you are back and that life has gotten smoother. Your reviews were some of the best, always showing different things to do to wigs to make them your own. I still follow your routine of getting ready after a shower--including the St. Tropez that gives my face a bit of color through our midwest winters, great tip. I have Mellow and I like it. It runs a little big even for my 22 inch circumference so I tighten it a bit, it falls below my chin and reaches the top of my shoulders (everything is average sized for me but I'm short) and it's a messy, fun style. You would probably like it to be a little thicker but then you are very skilled at zizzing up hair. Hope this helps. . . Jan
Hi Jan! I live in Kansas now so I am living my best Midwest winter life! I have a foam piece on the top part of the shield I am required to wear at work and it gets gunked up with makeup, so I went for the a few years not even wearing makeup. Now I have scaled down wearing bronzer drops. That St. Tropez is amazing - I should give it another try and see if the shield wouldn't rub it off the way it does regular makeup - thanks for mentioning that Jan! Happy New Year to you 🎉

Hey Dawn. I have Alvaand love her. I have to try to put her up like you did. So cute. In 2006, I left my life in the Cities with my VW and 2 dogs and started over at age 50. I’m also in the Midwest. Yesterday we finally got measurable snow and it stinks. lol. Sending hugs💛💜💜

I got it when I went to Fresno last month Kathy - I can't remember if I told you about it... I was trying to kill time on my last day. I have always found ladies who work in wig shops to be very snooty for some reason...
@@DawnStamper We have one wig shop in our town and the lady is very nice. However, she charges so much over the regular prices that it’s hard to find one under $400.

I'm okay with or without a lace front Laura, the lace always gets gunked up with my makeup and then you can see it on my forehead because that makes it stand out and noticeable on me. So I don't mind but it would be exceptional to have a lace front! I am really looking forward to getting this in Sugar Cane R soon - it should be arriving in the mail by next weekend! I'm gonna have to look at the Mellow colors - I'd love to get it in something like this Iced Mocha R! Do you know if Mellow comes in a similar color Gina? I screen Donors that come into the Plasma center I work in. I stick fingers and squeeze out blood into test tubes that I test blood iron, protein and hematocrit. Exposure to Blood is a constant so I must wear PPE at all times...

Yes, I love my mellow by Estetica. Mine is Silversun RT eight. But I did have to add a couple of curls on the top because she wanted to be too flat for me.
I'm rethinking Mellow after having Finn now... That sweeping bang gives me cause for caution...

Mellow is wavy so I think it will suit you really well. But I think they don't have a color simular to this one wich suits you very well
Yeah Wendy, I am really liking these brunette hair color options right now. Especially this Iced Mocha R. I could almost ditch the nutmeg reds too! But the Alva I just purchased on clearance is coming in blonde Sugar Cane R. I'll probably put it away and wait for summer...
Does it have alot of highlights or are the blended? Seems like wig companies are blending highlights now:-( I like bold highlights
Not too terribly, fully highlighted - it is a sophisticated and expensive looking hair coloring look. I always feel put together and from a Salon rather than Super Cuts, if you know what I mean 😜

Yeah, I remember loving the chunkiness of their in the Caramel Kiss prior to 2020 Judy. But maybe that's become dated... I do know the ombre or long root is in for 2024 at least 🥳
