Because of your video where you cut and thin this wig, it was one of my two very first wigs I had ordered when I started my wig wearing life! I go to the gym 5 days a week and knew I needed something I could pull up into a high pony and not worry about the security of the wig staying on my head. So, now, 7 months later, I have been wearing it everyday and loving it! I just recently replaced my original piece and know that I will eventually get another. I can’t imagine not having this awesome piece in my life! I think I’ll try cutting the band off of my older piece and see how that works for me! Denise, thank you for sharing all that you do! I have learned so much and the things that I have learned have made such a wonderful difference in my wig wearing journey! ❤️
I love this idea. I am almost 80 years old and I hate messing with my hair. It's dry and it's frizzy and it's lost its life so I wear wigs. I would love to have a long gray one I can wear up on top of my head with a headband. Thank you for showing this and how to trim it. I love to buy the boho bands from natural life. They are so fun. Thank you! Denise
I purchased 2 last year after finding that vid. They were my very 1st wigs. I also followed your tuts on cutting and thinning. I have YOU to thank for giving me the confidence that I could start my wig journey 😂😊❤ Thank you, Denise!!
Thank you darling girl. I’m about to order mine. Wow! What a bargain and I am a gardener and was wearing my good wigs out mowing and weeding my garden beds. Now I can flip this on and put it in a ponytail and go! Thanks so much! You are a star!
I just purchased my first headband wig from Sapphire Wigs! I chose "reddish brown with orange tips" and can't wait to try it. I just wanted to stop by and tell you first! :) I'm going to cut the band off as you demonstrated and I'm so excited to try to put it into a long braid. I realize I may have to trim and thin it first but we'll see. Thank you for the recommend!
Arrived today. You were not kidding about the fibers. It feels like Brazilian hair. I’ll thin, shorten and add some long layers. I had been looking at HH, but wasn’t sure I’d like the style. This wig is perfect to see if I like bandfalls. Thank you for another fun, educational video!
I'm about to buy my 3rd one! Came back to double-check the new color, brown with ash blonde tips 😊 I followed your tutorials on how to thin and trim, and they came out GREAT! This was one of the very 1st wigs I purchased, and I can't wait to get another color. Thanks Denise 🫶🏻
I was on the fence, thinking about this wig but wondering how I was going to shorten it, wear it, wondered if I would like it, wondering if it would fit my big head… Then I watched your videos! I ordered it, and it came yesterday. Yes, it really does feel amazing. I’m not sure if I am going to have the guts to cut it, myself, but I think I will at least try since there’s plenty of hair to practice on :-). Thank you Denise! I think I will like this wig because of the ease of putting it on. I have not been happy with the many wigs I bought, all pretty cheap; i’m not very good at styling. So putting this up in a ponytail or messy bun (which has been my hairstyle for 10 years until I lost my hair this year)… sounds great. Now it’s time to go and watch you cut your wig again!
Thanks so much for this. I have struggled with mine because even putting it on the darn thin slips off my head with the slippery band. I shall go now and cut the band off and use a wig grip too. Any messy buns have fallen out so I will work on doing those. Love and peace x
I definitely need a good wig grip with these, and getting rid of some of the weight helps so much. I have worn mine for 10 hours, doing VERY active things and swimming, on many occasions and they stay great. Yesterday I worked out in one of them after cutting but not thinning... I finally had to just wear it in a ponytail because of the weight, so I'm off to thin it now so I can wear it in a messy bun, lol.
Okay I'll bite! I've had fun with other Amazon wigs and will get one to practice thinning and trimming. At that price you just can't go wrong. Honey Blonde for me. It will be my first headband wig! Thanks Denise you're a sweetheart as always.
Hi! I just ordered this wig, which will be here tomorrow! I've struggled with hair loss for the last 7+ years. I like to work out in dance classes, and I hope this wig with a wide headband will help my confidence. I'm pretty sure I purchased the headbands from your store. Thank you so much for being so open and honest. I can't begin to tell you how much you've helped me overcome some wig fears. ❤
Thank you Denise for this video. I’ve been thinking about these headband wigs for months, but this time I’m going to order one with a grip and your headbands. I haven’t had to use grips with a wig, so I really appreciate your tip to wear one, or I would have been frustrated.
Another great video, Denise. It's nice to see the new colours. After seeing your original videos, I purchased a headband wig for active wear. They are perfect for swimming or just to put up in a ponytail on hot days. I would never have known these wigs even existed if it weren't for your video. Thank you so much!
I just got one after seeing your video. I was gonna just practice cutting it but when it came! It was so very nice that I’m gonna wear it for a lot more occasions! Others that I purchased were terrible and I shyed away from them till this! Then I saw your other video . Mine is curly and gorjuss!
Just a few hrs ago, I received the natural brown highlighted tips...OMG IT is Soooo beautiful, not as thick as other colors I buy from them ...I trimmed the length, and didn't have to thin it. I LOVE IT! 🎉❤❤❤
Yay!! That was the first color I purchased from them, it really is STUNNING! Mine is about a year and a half old and I will likely be purchasing another to replace it (I should have had them send me another when they sent me these, lol).
Thank you Denis for another great video! I kept hesitating to get one of these wigs since you posted the first video as it looks a bit overwhelming to me, but I just ordered one! And once I get it I will follow your video to thin it and trim it down. Thank you!!!! ❤
I have one of these, and I really like it! I kind of wish (more than kind of) that I hadn't have bought the very pricey Twix. This one is pretty similar.
Hello Denise, I watched your video on trimming the headband wig. I have ordered wigs and most are really big and when I ( I don’t know how to say it) cinch them down. They’re bulky in the back and crown. I wanted to ask you how the petite wig was on your date night compared to what you normally wear? I absolutely love your videos. Also I have tried to open some of the links and they say page not found.(the one about reliable wig places [I think that’s the name of the link]) thank you so very much for all you do for those of us that are losing our hair.
If you search "how to make a wig cap smaller" on RUclips you will find videos that show how to sew a few wefts together to make a cap fit better. Did you wear a wig grip with it? I can't keep it on my head without one.
Yes, that seems to be the best one... there is also a reddish brown with orange, which is a red with strawberry blonde balayage highlights. If you have prime there are free returns so you could get one and if it isn't right you can return it... although because you wear it with a headband it probably doesn't have to be perfect.
JUST what I am looking for and the colors are so pretty! I can't wait to order one! One question.....does it tangle quickly? I always wonder if you swim with it....when you get out of the water....is it really tangled? Thanks so much!
I always put it up when I swim with it and never wear it down... these tangle MUCH MUCH LESS than any other synthetic wig I've ever had... it is shocking to me how good these fibers are, and makes me question these major name brands and why their wigs are so expensive!! I mean, honestly... I can't get over these.
I have the ash blond one, but I really need to figure out how to do some highlights and lowlights in it. Also, I have a petite size head and am worried about cutting off the original band as the wig is already way too big for me. I’m worried that it will be even more likely to slide off without that band. I have only worn it a couple of times because I didn’t have the equipment I needed to be able to thin it. Any suggestions Denise? Thanks for the videos!!!
I don't find the band helps at all with security as it is too stretchy... but one suggestion I would have would be to search "how to make a wig smaller" on RUclips and you'll find lots of videos showing how to sew a few wefts together to make a wig fit better.
Denise, what am I missing! Either Amazon is sold out or I’m Amazon challenged! It looks to me like I have to buy a “combo” pack. Two wigs, one with headband and one without. I’m so sad! Do you want to sell the brown one? 😘
Hmmmm... I see that there are bundle options underneath all the items, but those are just suggestions (on my screen it says "bundles with this item" and then it gives you options to click on). To purchase one all you have to do is click on the color you want and then hit "Add to cart" and then you will only get one. Don't click on one of the bundles.
I bought on and I couldn’t keep it from sliding right off the back of my head. The weight of the hair pulled it right off. Do I need to wear a wig grip in order for it not to slide right off?? Please help. I threw it away because I was so bummed. I wish I could make it work.
I find that I do need a wig grip with it... I have tried it without one and it definitely wasn't secure. I think it depends, tough, on how the wig fits and how much hair you have underneath.... it is big on me and I have no hair so that is why I have to wear a wig grip. ALSO, not all wig grips are created equal... My favorite is from The Hair Grip: ruclips.net/video/Fq2xyBv0xdY/видео.htmlsi=2R07DcVB_yiZjKLn
I purchased one after watching your original video. I haven’t gotten the confidence to cut & thin it. I think they look so good on you. I like the light brown with blonde tips. I purchased the Ash Blonde which is pretty❤😎👀
I feel like such a fraidy cat admitting another worry, but does the headband ever slip and reveal that awful front?? I think this is such a great idea, and it looks great, and the price is great, but I feel like I would constantly worry that the headband would move out of place!! Is that an unnecessary fear???
I just still don’t understand how to thin a wig … decently, in a balanced way, or really AT ALL.🫤🫣😩😑. I’ll try to find your old (original vid) on how you shortened and thinned this one, and rewatch it. I just happen to remember watching it when you 1st put it out and thinking to myself- “I don’t think I really “get” that very well. (Thinning) Definitely not well enough to do it myself without ruining it. But, I’ll give it another look. Too bad they don’t sell one that is already shorter. * Hey- I just thought of something Denise. I TOTALLY understand why you wouldn’t want to duplicate a how-to video if it isn’t necessary. But, if you haven’t watched your original one in a longtime, how about rewatching it and YOU re-evaluate whether you think it’s instructions are sufficient, or if you think that you’ve either learned better techniques or any improved way to explain or demonstrate how to do it, and then decide on whether a new one would be worth filming or not? I want to emphasize that I am NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT meaning to say or imply that you didn’t present a good video. I’m only saying that “I” didn’t feel confident after watching it and I’ve ALWAYS assumed it is because I am the one with a mental block or something that makes me inept at this. Anyway, I’m off to run some errands and will dig up that tutorial later tonight and let you know afterwards if it made any clearer sense to me. * And I’ll let you know what my 4 mo. old shepherd weighs…my golden (Ginger) is plays with her a couple times a day, but otherwise, seems to be pretty fed up with “Sophie” as well bc as yours was. Ginger also seems VERY jealous and therefore depressed about this tyrant coming in and bogarting her way around with everything… ESPECIALLY our attention. I feel so bad for G a lot of times and had hoped the pup would be a great companion for her. I’m still hopeful for when Sophie matures. But you never know… G was the queen for 4 straight years first.🤷🏻♀️ FYI: PS Theresa headband wig that’s curly and down to around the bra strap in the back that I’ve bought several of off of Amazon that can be managed WITHOUT needing to shorten. It’s by a company called “ESPECIALLY YOURS” . The style of the wig is called: “Arianna”. And the color I always buy is TT4/332/64 which is a golden, med. brown with some light blondish highlights thru it a bit. It’s officially called: “ Dark Brown with light” (but it’s NOT really DARK brown… it’s a goldenmedium for sure..When I first bought it it was $29 & $39. Then, about 2years ago it went up to $49 a piece.. but I still bought 1 or 2 at that price because to me, it’s worth it. I still have and use my original one… I just was it more frequently and on this type wig, I choose to use Downy softener for my washing conditioner rather than my more pricey hair conditioners. I find it sorry if needs the heavier downy anyway.
To be honest, I think I did a really good job with that video and there is nothing at all I would add or do differently now. I have heard from dozens of wig sisters who said that the followed my video exactly and it make it so easy for them... but if you rewatch it and have specific questions you don't feel I covered please do let me know!
@@heywigsister 👍OK, I will. (Sorry for all the typos in my comment (above)- I should’ve proofread it before sending it to you🫤. Btw , Sophie weighs 41 lbs at 4 mos. Does that sound similar to where yours was at- at that age? *What are your dog’s. names?

The Grey one I got today. It is exactly the same color as my hair...

I think it's a great looking wig but too much hair for an active lifestyle. Would be great to be able to get one in a lower density.

It’s by a company called “ESPECIALLY YOURS” . The style of the wig is called: “Arianna”. And the color I always buy is TT4/332/64 which is a golden, med. brown with some light blondish highlights thru it a bit. It’s officially called: “
Dark Brown with light” (but it’s NOT really DARK brown… it’s a goldenmedium for sure..When I first bought it it was $29 & $39.
