Scale of the mechs is just wrong in this game. But Griffin, and 55 tonners in general are not the greatest offenders. Few mediums are (like Hatchetmen). Lights and assaults are.
I swear I heard him say "today we are playing Greifing 2N". Because that's how I'd play it. =D You can also run this build with a 1N. You won't have ECM and both launchers will be in the same torso, but a 25% velocity quirk makes your weapons work better, IMHO.
That was a hell of a head shot on you at the beginning. Someone in my unit said the other day that MRMs are useless now. I just don't see that. Everything has it's place and time in MWO. And I always say One man's trash is another man's treasure. And it's not the mech it's the pilot in the mech. What is going to work for me is not going necessarily going to work for you right? EDIT: I said that your videos were looking weird for me? Well it's normal now and I have no idea why!! LOL GGs
I'm glad the videos are looking fine 😁. As for MRMs, they are in the same place as all not pinpoint weapons. Light mechs are more powerful then ever and to fight them effectively you need pinpoint weapons. MRMs are not optimal for it.
I tried getting back into the game, no random battles launched. I saw something about the Clan Invasion. It's unclear what I need to do. Can I earn a clan mech or do I have to pay $$? Am I committed to one IS faction? Can I change allegiance? Can I change sides entirely? It seems I can freelance; however, the mechs I have available are probably going to be trash especially since their configurations are 5 or more yrs old (I played for ~6 months after launch then walked away). Should I just stay away b/c I'll be a useless sack of crap?
Good news is, just press the quick game button on top and in few minutes (sometimes few seconds) you will be in game. Bad news is, Community Warfare is sadly dead outside few Events. As for the builds, just watch my videos or ask, PLENTY of possibilities 😁.
I think the one big issue (pun intended) with the Griffins is their physical size - I feel like they’re way bigger than they should be
And their agility for a medium mech is awful. Can't brawl with them very well.

Great games! I do like that sound mod! Thanks for your videos. -
Glad you enjoy it 😁.

But i want that ECM 😁.
I have that setup on a Dervish. Slightly faster but no ECM. If the enemy team can't handle a pop tarter, it's an easy 700+ damage.
Yes, ECM and high hard points are the selling points of Griffin.

why is the griffin bigger than some heavy mechs? It feels like the scale is completely off
