The swedish government isn´t happy with the exhaust on my Mk1 ford fietsa so i have to fix it.

- In a previous video i had to have my exhaust sound measured after the engine conversion to a 2.0L zetec in my MK1 ford fiesta.
It turned out to be way too loud so i have to do something about it.

Didn’t think there was any MK1 Fiestas left, I worked for the company back in 79 that made the seats for those and other Fords. Can still visualise loading the jig up and welding the part of the seat frame that you sit on.
There are quite a few left especially in the UK. Further abroad they get less and less common

should of added a turbo that would of quietened it down
Would be nice but I won't get it through the mot in Sweden with a turbo on it. There is a limit to the amount of horse power to weight ratio and a turbo would take it miles over the limit
@@mike_themechanic but Sweden famous for drag racing and modified cars street racing like the Stockholm open there must be a way around things loopholes etc
@@BoostedMike2 you can do anything to a car but if it's going to be street legal then there are restrictions

Yes , what I don't understand is how to put valve in order to check . In the Haynes they say there is a mark of piston 1 high level on the pulley but I don't see it. There is also a method with valves in balance, but I don't understand well.
@@jeanpaultergeist8748 as you turn the engine over watch a pair of valves as one of the valves comes up the other one will go down, at the point where one valve is up and before the other one goes down the valves are "rocking" at this point you can adjust the opposite pair of valves. 1 and 4 and 2 and 3 are the pairs you adjust. So when the valves on cylinder 1 are rocking adjust the valves for cylinder 4 when the valves in cylinder 3 are rocking adjust cylinder 2 etc. Have a look at the video i linked to and there u have set some valves
