Hi, my name is Sofie and I'm a doll maker! In this video, I show the process of making a doll inspired by Robert Plant, the legendary vocalist of Led Zeppelin. I created a unique face for this doll, and I think the end result rocks! (sorry for that 😂) I also show how I made a wig, clothes, shoes and accessories for Robert's iconic look. I hope you enjoy this video and I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Everyone keeps saying Prince and honestly I am going to have to agree, he has a naturally doll-like look and his skin tone I think was similar to those tan dolls with the gorgeous yellow outfits you made.
I don’t know how these two specific interests of mine combined but I am here for it.

This was incredible. I appreciate how in-depth you go with your process, even showing small details like how you carve the fingernails and make the accessories - I love that his belt is actually functional and not just pretty in the front with a clasp in the back. Also, the adhesive tape hem is pure genius - I'm keeping that in mind for my next project!

Reminds me a character of "From Eroica with Love", Dorian. Well, mostly because that character was designed with Robert Plant in mind...XD. About who i really want to see in fashion doll format, i always dreamed see The Beatles like that (think in Paul, for example, with his pretty face, or John with his delicate proportions, or George and is dreamy face, or Ringo and his gorgeous blue eyes). Something who made them looks ACTUALLY like them (the dolls made in the 60s are really not accurate and well, very ugly XD) David Bowie is another really good option. (Any character of him are very fashionable)
Your skills are top notch and nice to hear your own thoughts while guiding us through the process.
Small critique is that the face of the doll is still rather androgyn or even female but it doesn't matter so much with the final result.

I love Robert. I truly Love the rock from those days. I suggest Jim Morrison from The Doors. Or maybe a female doll, Janis Joplin. Actually I'd love to see any of these rock legends. In love with this doll such a great concept and overall amazing outcome. I'd love to see you create a doll based on the character of Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. It would differ from your usual dolls, especially with your stylized version.
You doll is just spectacular ! I had customised one of my SD's to look like Alice Cooper and took it to his concert and meet and greet. I've followed and been a fan of his for about fifty years . He LOVED it . I was so happy. Alice signed it and took photos of it for his "own archives" . Yaaayyyy.! My sewing skills are non existent but I managed to buy and modify some outfits and acquired a snake (rubber) and made a crystal topped cane for him. There are so many I would love to create but realistically I don't have the funds or the time right now. BUT.. if I could it would be one of these three.. Billy Connolly , Bruce Lee or Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. I have sculpted with paper clay but would love to work with porcelain . Is it expensive to start out? Can you buy smaller kilns ? I would love to know. Again....... I applaud your dedication and hard work with these dolls. They are a credit to you. xx

If you want to start working with porcelain, I'd recommend you to look for a local ceramics studio and ask if they can fire your works in their kiln. The kilns are quite expensive and they don't get much cheaper with size. This way you can try your hand on porcelain and you won't have to invest in a kiln before you know you like this craft.
