A 4 door reliable sedan, made for drifting. Who doesn’t want that? Perfect substitute for who doesn’t want the trillionth BMW and it’s RHD so you’ll fit right in as being different. Great car!
About the chassis code JZX90 means its a 1JZ, which can mean it has a 1JZ-GE or 1JZ-GTE You can also have a JZX91, which has a 2JZ-GE From what I understand the Toyota chassis codes seem of the era to be the same if its in the same engine family with the same displacement. For example you've got an MX71, MX73 and MX75 which all have M series engines, but have 3 different displacements (engines being the M-TEU, 5M-GE, 7M-GE).
I still managed to get my hands on a rare JZX-93 Toyota Chaser Avante Four. It’s the always on four wheel drive variant of the jzx-90. It does have a 1JZ engine but it’s non turbo and you can only get away with a single turbo, but jzx-90 series Toyota chasers will always have a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to return to America with it!
I had one of these that I used as a daily driver for most of last year. Awesome car, everything you wanted with a daily- mine was completely stock and a complete sleeper. It was very hard to sell though- it seems most people in the U.S simply have no clue what these are, even those in JDM circles. Eventually I had to sell mine for a joke of a price. Should have kept it if that was the price I was going to get!
08:06 = people walking backwards 😂. Let's go to my question: Have you had any Brazilian clients? Have you ever exported vehicles with more than 30 years of manufacture from Japan? In my country it is not allowed to import vehicles under the age of 30, and those that are allowed are only for collection purposes. I would like to know, hypothetically, how much a Chaser would cost to Brazil, already cleared at customs and ready to license.

I'm so bored with 530 here where I live. JDM is so fucking underrated and everyone hates them here. Atleast I am getting a chaser soon :)
No car is made for drifting
That's a beautifully smooth 1JZ.
Factory manual, very nice. Hopefully not used as a missile.
The backwards man at 8:08

Derek - Kanto Auto Works is the factory that build the body. They also build the Altezza bodies and many others :)
Best regards

Wheels are from a Lexus IS (IS250 or IS350)
18x8 +45
18x8.5 +50

I've got Kanto Auto Works stickers all over my UK Lexus iS200. It's the factory where the bodys/panels/kits etc were made in Japan!

Lololol not in the drift scene guy. Everyone i know wants one. Sadly jzx chassis go for fucking stupid money in the usa. Upwards of 20-30k
@@zmohan69 Well, mine was an auto but I ended up selling it for just $9k. It was pretty mint also.
Informative reviews. Excellent work!
Great video as always :)
Nice Chaser.
I endorse this. It is a manual transmission as well. The only upgrade is a 3 inch exhaust to let this big girl flow properly.👍👍
Such a cool car if only they came in left hand drive
Ya right
It suppose to be use on Malaysian roads.
Then it wouldn't be cool.
Where do I get one?
hey derek where is the famous car bonet stick or wood block.
CT12A* Those are factory turbos.
Is legal to import to Australia? Never seen a jzx90 chaser here?
late response but I’m pretty sure they are
Its most likely a ct12a aka stock turbos
Those are 2nd gen IS250 wheels in America.
Big brains. But auto. Swap a w58 or r154 for cheap. Save tons of money and still have a manual
