The ooh ooh ooh including the 'eating a burger' figure is a direct reference to the main song of the show from which Kep1er comes from. Many people do not like it but it is completely ok to disagree about music taste.

The thing that made me love the post chorus is it gave them the opportunity to show their duality in 1 song, like they be showing you their cool sides during the chorus then they suddenly gave you their cute side after, I love it 'cause Kep1er has members who gives off cool vibes and members who gives off cute vibes 💜

@@tofudrien5545 Didn't say it was a reason for them to make it "not cohesive" (I mean, K-Pop songs (or songs in general) could be not cohesive conceptually in a sense, like, K-Pop loves mixing stuff. WA DA DA is both cute and badass, so in a sense, it's cohesive, idk how to explain this better asdfghjkl), but it just works for me, I love changes like these, like that sudden change in LOONA Choerry's Love Cherry Motion, and the one in TXT's Eternally too.

I personally think the flashing might represent a signal. Something similar to morse code? Cause like they had a "signal song" on the show, and during the period before they debuted there was a lot of signal related stuff. They do have a somewhat alien concept going on. But that's my view on things. Also you'll see a lot of circular things, whether it be objects, planets and the "O" s in the choreo to reference the show again. As the signal song was "O.O.O" and again had a lot of O related choreo.
Also they are named after the astrologer Johannes Kepler. So that's why there is a lot of planetary reference. I think, correct me if I'm wrong, there is a planet named Kepler too.
I understand your conflict with the choreo. I think they were trying to do a teen crush concept (cute and girl crush). So the pink outfits appear mostly when they have the cuter sections of the song, and the same applies for the edgier looking outfits for the more girl crush parts. And there are certain decisions they made like you pointed out that also confused me. Like Bahi having the arm choreo by herself during the post chorus. And that section where Dayeon stands up just to do the cheering thing. The first time I watched this it kinda looked off ngl. But overall the choreo is actually really difficult

@@JordanOrme To add to this, the part with the hands together and thumbs circling each other is called "the UFO dance". Keeping with the alien explanation. As for the hand scrunching thing.......... the only thing I can come up with is it a move used a lot in Korea to signify something/someone really cute. Not sure why they put it in there, but that's the only explanation I can come up with.
You should watch the dance practice! The moves is actually satisfying to watch as a whole and doesn't look awkward. I find it also cool that Hueningkai and bahiyyih already achieved their dream to be an idol!!! and fun fact, they also have a older sister that was also a kpop idol but the group already disbanded. Anyways stan Kep1er!!!
2:48 I actually like the beat drop during the transition. The beat sounds like a rocket going zoomies and malfunctioning while the visuals is us transporting to another dimension in a speed of light so it complements each other really well
But it kinda mess.
Part of editing the video is to match the beat,even all editor know that but... If better to remove the transition vfx and show dance moves so the beat match the dance and watch so satisfying
But to be honest the vfx transition where they put in the chorus was cool but it kinda mess to the beat

You actually pronounced Huening Bahiyyih better than most. Most people I’ve heard say Hoo-Ning Bah-Hee. According to the Hangul 휴닝 바히에, the correct pronunciation is Hyoo-Ning Bah-Hee-Eh.

I feel like a lot of person were confused about the verse « oh-oh-oh-oh owowowo » thing, i can relate at first i was exactly like u, like « wtf why did they insert this part in this sick song » and finally now i can’t imagine the song without it ? And it is soooo addictive i wish u were doing the move during the dance therapy tho, it’s an esay one hehe

honestly tho, I do agree that the post chorus made me like the song a bit less than if only the actual chorus was there... the actual chorus drop is HAAAARD, but the post chorus seems to be a bit unfit. Nonetheless, the song is still stuck in my head and I can listen to it many times a day

Hey Jordan! I think you've maybe done it in past videos, but what I really enjoyed about this one (that I'm cognizant of) is that you mentioned an effect, but also used it yourself to showcase it when you edited the video. I know not EVERY effect can be done easily or without massive equipment, but I would love to see more of that in the future when it fits and isn't massively time-consuming or unrealistic :)

Finally someone who agree with me about the cute part of the chorus, it doesn't really match the vibe of the rest of the song (in my opinion) but I think that it is a reference to the song O.O.O from the survival show.

Kep1er is a girl group and it was formed through Mnet's "GIRLS PLANET 999". The group is composed of 9 members : Yujin (Leader), Mashiro (Co-leader), Dayeon, Youngeun, Chaehyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Yeseo (Maknae), Hikaru and Xiaoting.
They debuted in 2022 with 'WA DA DA' M/V.

i can explain to you the whole love of this MV. the hand movements is the way to activate their powers, thanks to that the can teleportat and do other cool things, the "Ohohhhohohoo" part is actually raelly needed becouse it is the way to control the two suns (you can see them everyvere) so one hand = one sun, 2 hands = 2 suns, when the hands connects the two suns are doing it too. any way love the way you reacted and i'm waiting for you to comment on their newest song "grand prix".

I gotta agree with you on the choreography. It looked cringey and weird for a song that has good beat drops. In terms of transition, it's a bit off when the beat drop hits the first time. When i was reacting to the mv first time, i wanted to see what the choreo looked like when the beat drops. But then I was sad that the choreo was blocked by a 3-6 seconds transition.
In my opinion, its a good and catchy song. But I'd rather listen to the song then watching their mv/choreo vid.

There have been some complaints because yes, the song is good up to a certain point as well as the MV, but the "Oh oh oh" part is something that particularly stuns me and when I listen to it I have to turn down the sound on my headphones until it ends (percent the part where they move their fingers as they call it "the movement of the planets" or so they said, because the storyline is supposed to be about girls from different planets that meet each other or something like that, the truth is WakeOne does not developed that well, unfortunately because there is potential) just like the film sets are not really very good and even the Knetz say that "it seems cheap", there have been MANY problems, I just hope that in its first comeback the company takes into account the Many complaints there were but yes, it was Wa da da is good up to a point,but....
I actually think that wa da da is like the heartbeat of thrir heart because the subtitle is also kinda relatable.
And the dance on the wa da da is like the pump of the heart.
Bestie, the "grabby hands" of the point choreo is normally used to do aegyo (act cute) in korean culture. The choreo includes lots of circles which could also stand for the spherical shapes of the planets.
times for some theories
this song is about the girls traveling to a planet to play and have fun. This starts with the flashing light sequences and the telescope in the beginning. Then in some dance scenes you can find old radio equipment and science equipment, probably used to find signs of life on said planet and how to get there. In some scenes you can see planets in the background. In the scenes with the abstract glowy lineart, they are on the planet of their dreams. The glowing lines look like a play structure to me as if they are having fun and playing on this planet. This ties into the survival show "girls planet 999". WA DA DA means running as in running to their planet to have fun and be the people they want to be. The superpowers could mean they are aliens but idk about THAT theory-

The first big drop felt weird to me not seeing any of the members for a solid couple seconds.. I feel like it kind of worked against the energy of the song. But maybe it was supposed to increase anticipation? Or something?🤷♀️ And the choreo for the post chorus felt a bit simplistic to me, but I only dance therapy at home and have never trained, so what do I know? Lol I did love the music itself though. Kpop is notorious for weird musical transitions and mashups, and I love it so much.

@Veronica Yes she does. Before I watched the stage performances I thought she was out of sync. But it‘s done on perpose because she does the adlips in that part. It‘s done to focus on her during her barely existing lines😅

I'm talking about the transition that Jordan talk earlier in the video (not ending at the beat drop). in my opinion, because of the transition did not end at our expectation, it makes the MV unique and draws our attention even more to the video
