The first dude handles that unexpected recoil a hell of a lot better than I've seen in some videos of people who _did_ know that they were about to fire a machinegun.
I think that was a blank firing gun. Notice how the the rear of the slide "recoils" up before the end of the barrel. The way he was holding it, if it was a real gun it'd probably would've caused the muzzle to flip until it was pointed at him with predictable results. (This is not definitive. It's just based on my own experience with blank firing/non guns.)
About the self snitching thing: Donut Operator always talks about how in rap music videos, they always flash their guns. Turns out a lot of them are stolen, because they run the registration numbers whenever they pop up. Or if there isnt one, they know they removed it. Its the ultimate form of self snitching.
10:03 Me too brother. 😂 There's no shame to have in laughing at idiots getting owned by their own stupidity, or in that case the back panel of the microwave. That must have stung! 🤣

I had a neighbor who found the de-cocker on a Ruegar .357 showing off his quick draw. The pistol was in his pants waistband and when he snatched it out the front sight got caught and the pistol went off removing everything and messing up his pelvic arch. He had to learn how to walk again.
Still waiting for Kit to react to Episode 5 of the Darwin Awards, I want to see his face when he sees that child hand someone a magazine for the pistol, they're just waving around willy nilly. Edit: scratch that, it seems RUclips's just no longer permitting that video to be shown despite the warning of it being age-restricted because of the content, even when you select "I understand and wish to proceed" it'll just redirect you back to the home page of RUclips.
I just tested it, and it didn't redirect me, so I can actually watch that episode. It did give me the age-restriction thingamabob, and I clicked the same button you did, and the video played. No idea why it would boot you to the homepage...
@@Arkticus RUclips probably being RUclips, but it is a video that I would think Kit and Kira would react to simply because Kira mentioned having an experience at a wedding with a gun going missing in said wedding, that alone would no doubt set her off like crazy the second she realizes that it's another wedding. I'd say it's likely he was sticking the gun into his pants as an impromptu holster and forgot the safety... That situation happens surprisingly often, as far as negligent discharges go.
It always astounds me how people can be so stupid/careless with a thing that can so easily kill/maim you and the people around you, like it is an instrument literally designed to wound or kill even if your just using it to plink stuff. I'm in the UK so have never handled a gun but watch a decent amount of gun based content and if I'm ever in the position to use a firearm, would ensure to be nothing but careful and safe with them.
Good attitude to have. As my old sergeant was fond of saying "caution is the natural predator of complacency and complacency gets up every morning wishing your head was on a pike. Do not grant that wish"
The Weiner of the Darwin Awards. :) One of my neighbors was hunting as a teenager and he had his dog with him. The safe thing to do if you climb a fence with a gun is to unload your gun and then lean it against the fencepost so something stupid won't happen. He did not. He leaned his shotgun against the fencepost and started climbing. He's not sure what exactly happened because he was distracted. It was a "hammerless" L.C.Smith which have notoriously bad safeties. If there are rounds chambered and it falls to the ground, it might go off. Everyone I knew who owned one would open the action when they walked around with it or they would empty the chambers if they had to put it down to make sure it didn't go off on its own (usually that's a bullshit excuse, except for that particular shotgun). Either his shotgun got jostled enough that it fell over and something snagged the trigger or it went off when it hit the fencepost or ground (the safety sucked, remember?), pointed at his right shin. Or his dog got excited and put his paw into the trigger guard and pulled the trigger (shitty safety, 'member?). He was able to crawl nearly to the road and a neighbor saw him or his dog and investigated to find him shot in the leg. The damage was too much and he ended up losing his right leg below the knee.
2:50 With the first clip I think that was a blank firing gun. Notice how the the rear of the slide "recoils" up before the end of the barrel. @@elingeniero9117 Yeah, it's one of the few non-tilting barrel designs. But comparing other slow-mo footage of the M9 shooting, the muzzle still has an upward movement when compared to what happened here, Again, this is just from my experience and observations, and we don't know the entire context of the clip shown.

@@Akredi Yep, glocks have 3 internal safeties, a trigger safety, which is the one that folds into the trigger, a firing pin safety that stops the striker from hitting the primer unless the trigger is pulled, and a drop safety, that the trigger bar must clear before the striker can come forward. There are also aftermarket safety devices, like the striker control device, that you press in order to stop the striker from coming back even if the trigger is pulled. It simply replaces the backplate on the slide.
