FPSRussia is actually an american, he does podcasts with PKA Podcast. He can't make gun videos because cops wanted to incarcerate him so when they found a bit of weed on him they confiscated all his guns and now he can't own or use any guns. That's why he stopped making videos on his fpsrussia channel.

To expand on this, a member of his production team was found shot to death. I don't think this was ever resolved (accident, suicide, homicide), but it drew state law enforcement attention and they got the ATF involved, investigating everyone around them. Once the ATF got involved, they basically took offense to his lifestyle/videos and over the next few years raided him twice.
If you know that the feds are after your ass on whatever pretext they can find, it behooves you to be squeaky clean and perfect. Unfortunately, FPSRussia didn't manage this, and on the second raid they found enough marijuana to charge him with felony possession. In the US, drug felons lose their 2nd Amendment rights, so as noted he can no longer own or possess firearms. He also ended up doing two years in prison.

@@Chetverikov I recall this started an entire conspiracy theory of the ATF planting the weed to seize his guns and the production team member being assassinated to make it look like either FPSRussia shot him or that they were tangled up in shady business and he got killed by criminals they were dealing with. I remember this because the way the prod guy was shot was apparently from the back of the head and ruled as a suicide.
It's been a while so this could be wrong and it's just a tin foil hat conspiracy theory anyway. But it's not too far fetched to imagine the ATF would wanna frame one of the biggest firearms channel at the time, especially with him owning full-auto weapons and artillery as well as explosives.

Firearms come with a great responsibility, be you a sportsman, Concealed Carry permit holder, collector, milsim trainer or professional user. It'll ALWAYS come down to the person when it comes to mistakes (with rare exception i.e sabotaged ammo or faulty parts but even then)

23:58 That is a good point and that's also why there(usually) is a thorough background check when buying any firearm at a store... but obviously there are also illegal firearms in circulation and those are the dangerous ones because the people that buy them are not responsible gun owners.
I recommend watching Brandon's "I Crashed An Anti-Gun Protest" video where he very easily infiltrates the protest while conceal-carrying(and also being a gunsmith) and showing us how little these protesters know about firearms and owning one. A) make sure it's the right kind of steel target for the caliber you are using. B) make sure that the target is angled downward and/or suspended from the top. This helps to absorb more force and ensures any ricochets go as close to straight down as possible instead of -backwards-.

24:45 "if you're taking a gun someplace you're creating an opportunity where that gun could go off"
Ehhhh, more like you're creating an opportunity where somebody could make that gun go off. With very few, mostly historical exceptions, guns don't just go off on their own. A lot of time and effort has been spent in the last several decades making it so firearms only fire when intended, even when the weapon is dropped or an exposed hammer is struck. The idea is that a firearm should only fire when the trigger is pulled. Whenever somebody, like Alec Baldwin or police officers, say "it just went off", they're almost certainly simply lying and trying to shift blame (and therefore the embarrassment and liability) away from themselves.

Knew a gun that that shot himself in the balls when holstering his conceal carry Glock. He tried to claim to me that gun "just went off." Did it? No, because something has to pull the trigger for it to go off. He was using a soft leather holster in his waistband right over his groin. It took me less than 5 seconds of googling "Glock holsters" to find out why not to us leather. The soft leather had worn/softened and folder over and when he pushed the gun in it caught the trigger and bang, 2 balls went down to 1. His finger might not have pulled that trigger but his incompetence certainly did.
He later admitted he was a dumbass for not getting a proper holster and just using one he found.

If you're caring your gun, you're creating an opportunity to defend yourself and others from people with bad intentions. Yeah, moron exist, obviously moron get their hands on guns, but so do criminals. Measured and meaning full gun control (background laws which already exist, targeted red flag laws, with limited 2A restrictions). Remember the 2A was not for hunting it is for protection of self, lands, property, and the state or from the state. Yes, you can buy a cannon, you always could and a 9mm does not blow your lung out of the body. BTW that AR-15 is often chambered in a 223 caliber which is a 22 round far deadlier then a 9mm. To say that will lodge in a lung is also wrong. Yes, AR-15 are used in a lot of hunting applications.

Guns just like knives and cars are tools with a great potential to harm other and yourself if used inappropriately. But guns are different since they are designed to kill, so the possibility of a lethal mistake is much higher. Cars have safety features like seatbelts and airbags, knives are overtly simple and widely understood as a cutting impliment. But due to the lack of education to the masses, guns aren't understood or respected the the majority of people who don't use them. The number of gun accidents have increased over the decades because guns as a part of our culture has shifted away from the normal or acceptable. Back in the day when my father was a kid, they had little .22LR rifle classes in schools to teach kids to not treat firearms as toys and how to responsibly use guns. Firearms like any other tool should be treated with respect for it's potential to harm and protect.

"it's also a lesson for people in the room" ..... Question for you two as you are Actors.
Do you think 'actors' should also be taught these 'basic' lessons whenever they are doing movies that include 'actual' firearms (even true pop-guns can be dangerous with the flash/blanks that CAN propel debre out with lethal force).
It really does NOT take long to 'personally check' a firearm before you do anything with it.
Sadly, the recen thing on the set of RUST highlited this. 3 People touched a firearm that was used 1 checked, 2 assumed. (ie: if im remembering the timelight correctly, the armorer checked it, then it was handed off to someone who 'watched over' the weapons on a table, then that person handed it off to an actor without checking it themselves, and then the actor/director used the weapon without checking it themselves.)
It does not take long to 'personally' check a firearm, most can be fully checked in under 10 seconds (by fully i mean dropping the magazine, looking at the rounds in the magazine, pulling back the slide, looking to see if a round is chambered and if it is, pop it out and check to see if its a 'real' round or not).
Of all the Actors out there, i honestly thing Will Smith, and Keanu Reeves are the only two who have 'shown' that they 100% took ownership of the firearms they used, and 'wanted' to learn about how to handle them safely.

Yes, I definitely agree. I’m more of the mindset that rubber guns are sufficient for film but if firearms that shoot blanks will be in use, every one who may have to handle one needs thorough training.
I took theatrical firearms training when studying stage combat. We used blanks but always treated them as if they were really loaded, you never aim at any personal, and we rehearsed extensively without any weapons in hand to make sure the staging was safe.

Without massive de-mining campaigns which are expensive because you have to employ highly trained professionalsa to painstakingly find and disarm those deathtraps, they're going to be killing innocent villagers for years and years. and in the end you guys completely miss the point of brandon making the darwin award videos. hes literally trying to spread the gun safety rules using dark humour and examples of people who dont deserve to have a gun.

Okay, so I have a question: I watch the Darwin awards videos from Brandon for fun, like if l need a pick me up, I’ve never reacted like these guys do at the end. Is there something wrong with me?
