Deadpool and Wolverine is the only Marvel project coming to theatres in 2024 and Disney needs a win. Can Deadpool and Wolverine surpass the billion dollar mark?

I've crunch some numbers and honestly, Deadpool & Wolverine I think will be the highest grossing Deadpool movie but I don't think it will quite crack $800 million. Deadpool 1 grossed approx $783mm, Deadpool 2 grossed $786 million if I had to guess it will gross $795 million. People gotta remember this is a Rated R movie and also take in the fact Marvel has has a bad streak. If it gets good word of mouth perhaps it may reach or exceed my estimate. But we will see!
I think it will break 1B just because there aren't any other movies this year that have been as anticipated as Deadpool and Wolverine. It will be like the Barbie and Oppenheimer event last year. Plus they've already done millions in pre-sales and Ryan reyonds is known internationally so I think it will definitely exceed expectations.
Logan was meant to have been Wolverines swan song and it was a good movie. This movie reeks of desperation as they have pulled Hugh Jackman back and given (near) complete autonomy to Ryan Reynolds. What this means to me at least is that the audience sees Disney putting space between themselves and this movie but only to then jump all over it like some parasite if it's successful claiming it as their success.
If the movie succeeds then they will claim it's their plan on rebooting the MCU and their plan/message is correct and on course.
If the movie gets a lackluster reception due to apathy (possible) then they will claim Marvel and Superhero fatigue.
If the movie bombs then they will panic and just attack the audience for trying to hurt Disney.
I'd like for this dangerous profanity non-mcu movie to cancel this countdown now. Otherwise, Mr. Reynolds doesn't have what it takes to save the MCU, not now, not ever.
Yea I struggle to imagine what from this movie can be transferred onto the MCU.
No it will not actually I think it ruins the MCU showing how desperate they want a quick buck. This film will ruin Logan for so many.
I hadnt thought about it that way but that is a very interesting point. They probably wouldn't be bringing Jackman back if the MCU wasn't struggling.
