Such a great video, you’ve definitely opened my eyes on what a interior design course is, how the course has all this different classes to design an environment and make it work. I definitely don’t mind taking all of those classes. I always wanted to go to uni and I wasn’t sure what I’m signing up for that is why I’m so grateful for all the information provided. I will definitely follow my dream. Thank you so much!
So glad I found you !!! You give such great and practical advice . I’m starting interior design as a secondary career and I live in Texas . I’m going to get my associates in interior design since I already have a bachelors in something else . I haven’t been in school for a while so I’m little nervous about going back . But I think it’ll be worth it . 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank yooou! Wow this is eye opening. I have been really worried if I can't get into this major because I didn't know about a lot of things a interior design would know. Overall interior design seems perfect for me and thank YOU AGAIN!
Amazing video. I wish more people explained what classes you take in a specific major and what is involved when taking them. It would help many people plan there college careers.
Thank you so much! I've been looking for this kind of video so I can study in advance and I'm just so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much and Godbless 😊♥️
Hi Sandy! I'm very appreciative of your channel. I just subscribed. Loving all the videos and information you offer regarding interior design for students. I've recently enrolled in classes at a UK school and these videos are extremely helpful. Thanks chica!
Multiple questions: 1. How many credits do you have to take to receive your degree in interior design? 2. Do all graduates with interior design degree have to take the national test? 3. Did you have to retake general classes and then interior design course related classes? Or because you have your bachelors, you went straight to interior design courses? I’m a psychology graduate but my dream is interior design! I have my associates and bachelors. I would like to know if I go straight into interior design courses since I already have basic credits Thanks in advance, your videos are great.
Hi Olivia, thanks for your support on my channel and I'm glad you find my content useful! 1. Most programs are about 180 credits 2. Nope. You don't have to take the national design if you don't want to. Just keep in mind some jobs require it. 3. I went straight into design classes and most of my general classes transferred over.
Don't worry so much about the drawing. I couldn't draw either before school and there are lots of successful designers who can't draw. Some designers outsource drawing or use computer renderings instead.
I was looking for universities to apply to earlier and I got scared because of the requirements lol but watching this I got my motivation and confidence back again so thank you for this very nice and informative video :)
@@dorisdreezy3103 I guess it depends on what uni you want to go to but for the ones here in Germany I want to apply to I have to write a text about why I want to study that and why I think I'm suited for it and I have to make a portfolio with up to 20 paintings etc and I have to take an exam if my portfolio gets accepted and preparing all of this while still going to school is a challenge for me😂 I'm gonna try for sure tho

i would love to major in interior design in college, but with all my researching schools i’ve seen that i need to submit a portfolio but i don’t have anything that i could possibly put in there, i was involved a lot in crime and justice and law related summer programs but that’s vastly different than interior design. so i wanted to know in the case that i do have to submit a portfolio, what should i put in there?
Would you say that being able to draw well is super essential to being able to be successful in interior design? I’m not the best with drawing, and am curious if it is detrimental when it comes to pursuing this career path.
