I still remember the first time I heard this song. I was an angry, sad 13-year-old who felt unloved and unwanted. I only listened to angry music, and vehemently rejected love songs because I felt no one would ever love me.
The moment I heard this song, it felt like someone was reaching right into my soul and telling me that they understood, and that it was going to be OK. I didn’t know how to process the feeling at all, so I panicked and switched my CD player off.
Flash forward 15+ years and I regularly play this on my piano. Thanks, NIN, for always being there.
This my friends are real talented artists...No auto tune no glitzy over the top half naked dancers no swinging around on ropes...just pure energy that grabs your senses and gets your heart to thumping and takes on their journey WOW
I was in that crowd and still get chills when I think of this. Best few hours of my life.
I could watch this over and over (well, I do) ... I love how Trent has those little idiotricities like breathing heavily while whispering and the start/stop groans...they're such small performance pieces that make such a huge difference in ensuring the mood of the song is perfect. That makes them a must-see band, for sure :)

This is the kind of powerful song that goes right through you. It is electric. I can't imagine what it would be like to experience this live.

This one means more to me than any other! His music kept me from falling apart, through unspeakable pain and darkness! Always a fan, but just didn't really get it until it happened to me. My only advice is to steer clear of anyone who hates Trent's music!!! the truth hurts those who hide behind masks!
I think thats why most fans love his music, because they have been through deep shit. Those who hate don't do so out of pure hatred but rather because they probably don't understand it. My fav song off this album is The Great Below and the precursor and result of song
This song means so much to me because it is about helping somebody else that you care about even if you are dealing with your own shit. About putting somebody you love before yourself. This is a love song.
I remember when The Fragile first came out. I was a teen and couldn't afford it but one of my friends did buy it and I talked him in to letting me borrow it, and I out it in one of those old boomboxes and recorded it to tape. The thing that blew me away most of all being a beginning guitar player was the way the guitar parts were heavy but perfectly fit. It still amazes me to hear it and it definitely shaped my playing style.
NIN has been off my radar for some time. But this incredible performance reminds me of how stunningly creative Reznor was/is. I saw NIN here in Cleveland 3-4 times back in the day. I'm glad I was on the planet at the same time as Trent Reznor. I thank him for all the inspiration and wish him well.

Trent is so damned good live. Seeing him perform Hurt in 1995 was one of the greatest live show experiences of my life.
if anyone wants to know what perfect means, just watch this epic performance. there isn't anyone in the music business that can compare to trent reznors energy and passion he puts forth in every show. they should get a collection of these on stage performances and release them on blu ray.
The droning wails of Robin's guitar at the beginning of this are so meta.
His music will remain forever and thats what matters. Life goes on and other gifted music geniuses will come after him.

Wow, this was really great. I'd strayed frm listening 2 any NIN 4 quite awhile, and this is my very first time seeing it. The Fragile was always my favorite, so I truely enjoyed it!!

yea this was definately one of the greatest albums ever, idk about you guys but that space between downward spiral and this was LOOOOOOONNNGGG and when this album came out it made it all worth it, i love the later albums as well but this was definately the peak of nine inch nails
