Same! I do both but I avoid fisherman when we go out skiing. I also don't have an overpriced wake boat that makes huge waves. They actually tear up the natural bottom and lakes go to crap so when they ban them out to the depths, it will help us fisherman... That plug jack was justice!!

As a kayaker, fishermen are always pissed at me, I try to go around, but when they are fishing on both sides of the boat, where am I supposed to go? They hug the shoreline, they fish the middle, lines everywhere, fisherman do NOT own the lake!
So true, I was yelled at to move by a bunch of fishermen who were fishing all around the boat ramp and beach. My engine had just quit so I had no option. Of course they don't care as it's apparently their birthright to fish everywhere and anywhere

My Dad used to work with a guy who big in to sailing. We’d zip over in our cuddy cruiser to say hello and see how his race was going. Always complained about our wake “throwing him off”. Some of the races had no wind and they were doing 1/2 knot.

Great video! You need to do a slalom skier vs wakesurfer. We used to go out early every morning on the weekends to get the calm water for slalom skiing on horsetooth and then surfing got popular and the lake got so crowded and surfers started coming out early too and ruining the calm water. 😬

I'm a fisherman and watersports fan. We can get along. Soon wakeboats will be banned on some lakes or restricted to the middle of the lake. If some of the Gnar shredders were more respectful, it wouldn't be a big deal. This is funny as hell and is going to be a big topic soon. It is around here in Colorado. Just be respectful and all will be good. Be a dick and they'll make laws because of YOU. Keep that in mind. Besides those wake boats are extremely overpriced so they get you there too.
I just wish they could surf on the miles of river that are unoccupied, of the 10-15 wake boats in the 20 mile pool i own property and boat in they all seem to have a thing for absolutely ruining peoples hard earned money and time spent building and repairing docks. They all dock at marinas so they don't care about everyone else. They break the law when they're supposed to maintain 200' from docks but they go by at 75 feet from my dock blasting cringe music like lady gaga yelling in my direction as if they're mocking me. It really makes me want to confront them, but they will probably just wake my dock even more just to be spiteful.
