Try the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and conditioner. I didn’t mention it in this video but I have a separate video about it. It’s great for an oily scalp and since apple cider vinegar rebalances the pH level of the hair, it makes it stronger and less likely to break 🙂

My hair is curly but also thin and I found the keratin oil shampoo was better than the coconut milk one. The coconut one weighed my hair down and left my curls flat. When I tried the shampoos I used the matching conditioners.

Hi Srijan, My recommended shampoo for unruly hair is the Liquid Pearl shampoo. If your hair is rough and coarse it will do a good job at making it softer. I also found it helped to reduce frizz. If your hair is flat and dry the OGX Biotin Shampoo is another good option. X

I'm in the military and have to have a gelled back tight bun every day and i've been suffering hair loss, hair thinning, and breakage from I assume all the damage. Right now I bought 2 different ones- the charcoal detox (i plan on using this every friday to detox from the week's worth of gel and hairspray) and the extra strength biotin and collagen one daily because i read on the website it helps with hair growth and volume. Do you agree with my choices or do you have a different regimen suggestion for me? thanks!
Hey, I think the Charcoal detox shampoo and the biotin sound like a good combination. The biotin shampoo definitely makes the hair look thicker and the charcoal shampoo is good for removing product build up. I've also had a bit of hair loss and I like using the OGX Tea Tree Mint shampoo since it contains peppermint oil and peppermint oil has been shown in clinical trials to stimulate hair growth (I think the clinical trial was done on mice). I'm not sure if the peppermint is helping my hair regrow but it definitely makes my scalp feel nice. Also i'm testing out the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo at the moment which is also good for removing product build up, and helping to rebalance the pH level of the hair. But... I think you've made a good choice with the charcoal and biotin shampoo combination. I hope your hair starts to regrow - I'm testing out the Grow Gorgeous Hair Growth Serum at the moment (I have a video about it) as tons of my hair fell out in the last year. I'll keep posting updates on whether or not it works! :-)

Hey! That’s a good question actually. Up until now I hadn’t found an OGX shampoo that I would have recommended for greasy roots and brittle ends… however I’m currently testing out the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and I think this might be a good fit! The OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo was designed for greasy hair with residue buildup, and it’s also great for brittle ends! Brittle hair is often a result of a pH imbalance, and apple cider vinegar helps to lower the hair’s pH and bring the hair’s acidity level back into balance. This makes it healthier and stronger. Once I’ve finished testing this shampoo I’ll post a full review on my channel. 🙂. Xx
Which is best for curly (permed) hair which is dry, fine and thin? I used to have straight hair before this. It seems like the coconut curls shampoo will be too heavy for my newly permed hair, although it is suitable for curly hai Is the keratin oil shampoo (for growing your long) be a suitable choice? I would recommend the OGX Keratin Oil shampoo or the Kukui oil shampoo as both are quite light. OGX have now made a light version of the Coconut Curls shampoo which I’ll be testing out soon.
Hey awesome video! I have been looking into which ogx shampoo to buy and i haven't found anything nearly as informative as yours. I watched it all and while it was very helpful I am a bit torn between which one to choose since I have different things going on in my hair. I have been using the Argan oil of Marocco one but it makes my hair really oil which they are in general but it makes it even worse. I also have straight really thin hair that has a lot of split ends. Would you mind recommending me a shampoo that would work best given all this?

Hi Whay about wavy hair? It's a little curly (maybe 2c) and while coconut oil conditioners do a great job moisturising it, they sadly do weigh ny hair down a bit It's thick but dry

The OGX Biotin and Collagen shampoo is really good for creating volume in thin hair. It contains collagen which helps to make the hair more elastic and prevent it from breaking. I also have hypothyroidism. I was just diagnosed this year. At the moment I’m using the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and conditioner and found they are really good at reducing frizz and leaving the hair shiny and smooth. If you want texture the R+Co Cactus Texturizing Shampoo is great. The results are better if you don’t use it with a conditioner. I found I didn’t need to use any styling product when I tried this shampoo as it does such a good job at defining your hair’s natural wave pattern.

Thanks so much for watching my video. My favourite shampoo is the Liquid Pearl shampoo as I love the smell and it did an amazing job at reducing frizz. The kukui oil is also good at reducing frizz since it’s so moisturising! I think they are both good if you have frizzy hair! I think I recommended the kukui oil shampoo for frizzy hair and the liquid Pearl shampoo for unruly hair. Let me know how you get on with the kukui oil shampoo !! 🙂

My hair tends to be very frizzy after I wash it as I used to use shampoos with harsh ingredients such as sulfates, but I did notice my frizziness was less after washing with this shampoo. And got complimants on my hair from my cousins too. And idk but it kinda made my hair straighter? Maybe because I kept combing it straight as I personally wanted my hair to be a bit straighter? Overall it was good but I do think longterm usage can be helpful to really decrease the damage I did to my hair over the years. I also had a question, I know this shampoo is sulfate free but it contains a sulfonate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. And I heard it could just be as harsh as other sulfates like SLS?
@@sadiajafrinn Sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate is quite a harsh cleanser but I found it to be more gentle that SLS. If you want a very gentle OGX shampoo choose one of the products that contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate instead of sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate. They are quite hard to get hold of but they are amazing if you have really dry brittle hair. Some of them include the OGX tsubaki shampoo, OGX bamboo fiber full shampoo, OGX cherry blossom shampoo and the OGX Oxygen Shampoo. I might make a separate video about these ones. When I use the OGX Kukui oil shampoo, I use most of the shampoo near the roots of my hair, and less on the ends to prevent my hair becoming too dry. My hair is very dry so I have to be careful about this. I think looking after your hair takes multiple stages - use a good moisturising shampoo, but also protective styling products with heat and UV protection and also regular hair masks. I use the olaplex bonding oil regularly and also a goat milk hair mask to help keep my hair strong. I like the OGX liquid Pearl shampoo and kukui oil to help keep my hair frizz free and moisturised. What would you recommend for dry hair, but it's not curly? Am a bit lost between coconut milk and kukui And would you recommend coconut nourishing oil for me or not?
If you have thin or fine dry hair I wouldn't recommend any of the coconut products as coconut oil is a heavy oil which coats the hair and can leave it weighed down. If you have thick hair which is dry then the coconut oil products would be a good choice. I recommend the OGX Argan Oil shampoo for dry hair since Argan oil is a more lightweight oil compared with Coconut oil and it won't leave the weighed down. The OGX Kukui Oil is also another good choice, or the OGX Keratin Oil. Let me know if you try any of them out. :-) xx
Hi, I'm aware there was a lawsuit where hair loss was claimed due to an ingredient called DMDM Hydantoin which was used as a preservative in some OGX shampoos. OGX has actually removed DMDM Hydantoin from all of their products now, although it was never actually proven to cause hair loss in the first place. I have used OGX shampoos for years and never had any problems. There's an article about DMDM Hydantoin on my beauty blog with a list of shampoos that are free from this ingredient if you are worried about it. Since OGX no longer use this ingredient in their products though I don't think there is any reason to worry. :-)
I would say either the OGX coconut milk shampoo or the OGX keratin oil shampoo. They both contain protein and oil. Protein is good for strengthening hair that has been damaged from chemical treatments, and the oil adds moisture. I personally prefer the keratin oil shampoo since it contains Argan oil which moisturises dry hair but doesn’t weigh it down. I found the coconut oil in the coconut milk shampoo was a bit heavy for my hair but it might work well for you if your hair is thicker than mine. The keratin oil shampoo has keratin protein and the coconut milk shampoo has egg white protein. Both proteins are good for strengthening chemically treated hair. 🙂❤️
Properly no one seeing this, but if there is. What do u reccomend for straight hair? quite "fine" and thin. it do get quite oily sometimes, but at the same time my scalp is quite dry sometimes cause of eczema and overall just dry scalp? I do search for a Condtioner and Shampoo..? i dunno what cosistencey my hair is (Damage, dull etc) xD I did look into Argan oil shampoo and a Coconut milk condioner. HELP

The OGX Argan oil conditioner is really good for softening rough hair. You could also try the OGX kukui oil conditioner which is good for rough, coarse and frizzy hair. 💕

There are many causes of hair loss but shampooing your hair daily is not going to cause your hair to fall out. My hair became thinner due to a thyroid problem. If your hair is falling out I would see your doctor as I didn’t find out about my thyroid problem until my hair had already become thin.

@@TheTribalLair is that the biotin and collagen one? The collagen in the shampoo can help to prevent age related hair loss but I don’t think it makes the hair grow faster. That shampoo is good at making the hair look thicker though.
Great I just bought the wrong one. Should've watched this first. I'm not trying to grow out my hair (I have short hair) but I bought the Keratin because it says "frizz-free" on it. ☹
If you have thick curly hair the OGX Coconut Curls shampoo and conditioner is great for adding moisture and enhancing curl definition. If you have thin curly hair like me though I’d recommended the OGX Keratin oil shampoo and conditioner since it contains Argan oil rather than coconut oil and Argan oil won’t weigh the hair down as much. It also has keratin protein to strengthen the hair. I am also using the L’Oréal hydra hyaluronic acid range at the moment and that does a great job at enhancing curls in thin curly hair (I have a separate video review of it) 🙂

I think the best one for dull and brittle hair would be the OGX Keratin Oil shampoo. This shampoo contains both keratin protein and Argan oil. Keratin protein is excellent for strengthening brittle hair, and Argan oil is good for making dull hair look shiny and glossy. ❤️

It depends what result you want to get. I prefer the tree tree mint because it’s really refreshing and cooling on the scalp and also helps to promote hair growth.
I’ve tried really hard to get that one but we don’t seem to have it in England. I also can’t find it online ☹️. Hopefully I will find it when I come to the US in the summer.
The lawsuit was about an ingredient called DMDM hydantoin. It was claimed that this was causing hair loss. I don’t believe the claims were ever proven but OGX has completely removed this ingredient from their shampoos now anyway.

Plz help me.. Which shampoo is good for dry and dull hair? My hair strands have become frizzy and rough and coarse. They are not at all shiny and are dull. My hair type is normal to dry and I have thick hair strands which are flat all the time. Please help...
Hi Srijan, My recommended shampoo for unruly hair is the Liquid Pearl shampoo. If your hair is rough and coarse it will do a good job at making it softer. I also found it helped to reduce frizz. If your hair is flat and dry the OGX Biotin Shampoo is another good option. X

I'm in the military and have to have a gelled back tight bun every day and i've been suffering hair loss, hair thinning, and breakage from I assume all the damage. Right now I bought 2 different ones- the charcoal detox (i plan on using this every friday to detox from the week's worth of gel and hairspray) and the extra strength biotin and collagen one daily because i read on the website it helps with hair growth and volume. Do you agree with my choices or do you have a different regimen suggestion for me? thanks!
Hey, I think the Charcoal detox shampoo and the biotin sound like a good combination. The biotin shampoo definitely makes the hair look thicker and the charcoal shampoo is good for removing product build up. I've also had a bit of hair loss and I like using the OGX Tea Tree Mint shampoo since it contains peppermint oil and peppermint oil has been shown in clinical trials to stimulate hair growth (I think the clinical trial was done on mice). I'm not sure if the peppermint is helping my hair regrow but it definitely makes my scalp feel nice. Also i'm testing out the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo at the moment which is also good for removing product build up, and helping to rebalance the pH level of the hair. But... I think you've made a good choice with the charcoal and biotin shampoo combination. I hope your hair starts to regrow - I'm testing out the Grow Gorgeous Hair Growth Serum at the moment (I have a video about it) as tons of my hair fell out in the last year. I'll keep posting updates on whether or not it works! :-)

Hey! That’s a good question actually. Up until now I hadn’t found an OGX shampoo that I would have recommended for greasy roots and brittle ends… however I’m currently testing out the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and I think this might be a good fit! The OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo was designed for greasy hair with residue buildup, and it’s also great for brittle ends! Brittle hair is often a result of a pH imbalance, and apple cider vinegar helps to lower the hair’s pH and bring the hair’s acidity level back into balance. This makes it healthier and stronger. Once I’ve finished testing this shampoo I’ll post a full review on my channel. 🙂. Xx

I would recommend the OGX Keratin Oil shampoo or the Kukui oil shampoo as both are quite light. OGX have now made a light version of the Coconut Curls shampoo which I’ll be testing out soon.

Hey awesome video! I have been looking into which ogx shampoo to buy and i haven't found anything nearly as informative as yours. I watched it all and while it was very helpful I am a bit torn between which one to choose since I have different things going on in my hair. I have been using the Argan oil of Marocco one but it makes my hair really oil which they are in general but it makes it even worse. I also have straight really thin hair that has a lot of split ends. Would you mind recommending me a shampoo that would work best given all this?
Try the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo. I didn’t mention it in this video but have a separate video about it. It’s good for removing excess oil and also helps to strengthen the hair and prevent spilling. Apple cider vinegar rebalances the pH level of the hair and makes it stronger. 💕

The OGX Biotin and Collagen shampoo is really good for creating volume in thin hair. It contains collagen which helps to make the hair more elastic and prevent it from breaking. I also have hypothyroidism. I was just diagnosed this year. At the moment I’m using the OGX Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo and conditioner and found they are really good at reducing frizz and leaving the hair shiny and smooth. If you want texture the R+Co Cactus Texturizing Shampoo is great. The results are better if you don’t use it with a conditioner. I found I didn’t need to use any styling product when I tried this shampoo as it does such a good job at defining your hair’s natural wave pattern.

Thanks so much for watching my video. My favourite shampoo is the Liquid Pearl shampoo as I love the smell and it did an amazing job at reducing frizz. The kukui oil is also good at reducing frizz since it’s so moisturising! I think they are both good if you have frizzy hair! I think I recommended the kukui oil shampoo for frizzy hair and the liquid Pearl shampoo for unruly hair. Let me know how you get on with the kukui oil shampoo !! 🙂

My hair tends to be very frizzy after I wash it as I used to use shampoos with harsh ingredients such as sulfates, but I did notice my frizziness was less after washing with this shampoo. And got complimants on my hair from my cousins too. And idk but it kinda made my hair straighter? Maybe because I kept combing it straight as I personally wanted my hair to be a bit straighter? Overall it was good but I do think longterm usage can be helpful to really decrease the damage I did to my hair over the years. I also had a question, I know this shampoo is sulfate free but it contains a sulfonate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. And I heard it could just be as harsh as other sulfates like SLS?
@@sadiajafrinn Sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate is quite a harsh cleanser but I found it to be more gentle that SLS. If you want a very gentle OGX shampoo choose one of the products that contain Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate instead of sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate. They are quite hard to get hold of but they are amazing if you have really dry brittle hair. Some of them include the OGX tsubaki shampoo, OGX bamboo fiber full shampoo, OGX cherry blossom shampoo and the OGX Oxygen Shampoo. I might make a separate video about these ones. When I use the OGX Kukui oil shampoo, I use most of the shampoo near the roots of my hair, and less on the ends to prevent my hair becoming too dry. My hair is very dry so I have to be careful about this. I think looking after your hair takes multiple stages - use a good moisturising shampoo, but also protective styling products with heat and UV protection and also regular hair masks. I use the olaplex bonding oil regularly and also a goat milk hair mask to help keep my hair strong. I like the OGX liquid Pearl shampoo and kukui oil to help keep my hair frizz free and moisturised. If you have thin or fine dry hair I wouldn't recommend any of the coconut products as coconut oil is a heavy oil which coats the hair and can leave it weighed down. If you have thick hair which is dry then the coconut oil products would be a good choice. I recommend the OGX Argan Oil shampoo for dry hair since Argan oil is a more lightweight oil compared with Coconut oil and it won't leave the weighed down. The OGX Kukui Oil is also another good choice, or the OGX Keratin Oil. Let me know if you try any of them out. :-) xx

Hi, I'm aware there was a lawsuit where hair loss was claimed due to an ingredient called DMDM Hydantoin which was used as a preservative in some OGX shampoos. OGX has actually removed DMDM Hydantoin from all of their products now, although it was never actually proven to cause hair loss in the first place. I have used OGX shampoos for years and never had any problems. There's an article about DMDM Hydantoin on my beauty blog with a list of shampoos that are free from this ingredient if you are worried about it. Since OGX no longer use this ingredient in their products though I don't think there is any reason to worry. :-)

I would say either the OGX coconut milk shampoo or the OGX keratin oil shampoo. They both contain protein and oil. Protein is good for strengthening hair that has been damaged from chemical treatments, and the oil adds moisture. I personally prefer the keratin oil shampoo since it contains Argan oil which moisturises dry hair but doesn’t weigh it down. I found the coconut oil in the coconut milk shampoo was a bit heavy for my hair but it might work well for you if your hair is thicker than mine. The keratin oil shampoo has keratin protein and the coconut milk shampoo has egg white protein. Both proteins are good for strengthening chemically treated hair. 🙂❤️

@@joleennguyenrasmussen3431 try the biotin and collagen as I think it will make your hair look fuller. If your hair gets very greasy then try the OGX tea Tree Mint or the OGX charcoal shampoos as they might work better for you.

There are many causes of hair loss but shampooing your hair daily is not going to cause your hair to fall out. My hair became thinner due to a thyroid problem. If your hair is falling out I would see your doctor as I didn’t find out about my thyroid problem until my hair had already become thin.

Great I just bought the wrong one. Should've watched this first. I'm not trying to grow out my hair (I have short hair) but I bought the Keratin because it says "frizz-free" on it. ☹
Frizz is caused by lack of moisture so make sure you use products that add moisture to your hair.

If you have thick curly hair the OGX Coconut Curls shampoo and conditioner is great for adding moisture and enhancing curl definition. I’ve tried really hard to get that one but we don’t seem to have it in England. I also can’t find it online ☹️. Hopefully I will find it when I come to the US in the summer.

Hi, I am struggling with a lot of dandruff and frizzy hair. Which shampoo and conditioner would you recommend?
I thought this company had a big lawsuit that causes cancer or something unless they change the ingredients if so someone let me know
The lawsuit was about an ingredient called DMDM hydantoin. It was claimed that this was causing hair loss. I don’t believe the claims were ever proven but OGX has completely removed this ingredient from their shampoos now anyway.

Thanks so much for responding and letting me know because I literally just went to Walmart and bought the coconut one for my daughter’s hair and I actually just used it in the shower and then saw your video so it freaked me out but I love the coconut conditioners they are great for curls and very moisturizing
@@becky7637 yeah I’m sure they are safe… I always check the ingredients of my hair products and I think OGX is ok 👍🏻. I love the ogx coconut products… they are so moisturising for curly hair 🙂
