My favorite niche use for Iana is that she can stall the dossoles bomb boats in IS4 because they won't attack her, so they'll just sit there, blocked by her gemini form until their health drains (or until a caster spawns at least)
@@frankie391 man, I'm blanking on what IS3 map has sentinels, but it _should_ work so long as there are no other enemies in the lane, or there are two sentinels to take up both her block slots.

So you can make some stages way easier by... not using her to attack...
That’s true. I remember people using the healing bug with gummy to stall enemies without attacking them. Or cycling nian/spot/saria s3 etc to block without attacking. Or god forbid gladiia s3 skill canceling. An AFK option is really really nice. God knows how much it might’ve simplified cc deepness.
@@nagabe6394 yeah, exactly certain enemies get really dangerous as soon as you attack them if you don't attack them then they don't become dangerous, giving you time to set up instead
I like dollkeepers as an archetype even though I don’t always find a place for them. Iana is my favorite of the R6 ops though, so she might get more play.
Instantly fall in love with her. She is so unique even amomgst her archaetype. S1 is perfect for afk fragile and range bait, s2 is subdps with invis reveal. With module, her fragile can go up to 30% for 10 sec which is very delicious.
The mystery enemy is either The Witch King from the Zwillingstürme im Herbst event or something like Crazelyseon or Izumik, leaning towards the Witch King. I know ungodly amounts of res a little too well with the early days of my account being blessed mostly with nothing but Arts DPS fellas, so any boss that has over 50 res I can feel instantly. Or the Dublinn enemies in ch9, please god no more Refraction
For sure, I thought it was Patriot but I was hilariously wrong XD. I looked it up he has twice the attack and half everything else, I knew he was long surpassed by he's now pretty mid. That said I didn't realize Crazelyseon was that tanky, I gave up on fighting him and just ground health because the stupid invulnerability phase. But I suppose it makes sense because Izumik while waaay stronger was tense but I've only lost to his mobs. Craze is pretty close stat wise to Ishar'mla though at least she can get blocked.

I am a simple doll. I see dollkeeper, I build. I've used all four dollkeepers so far, and Iana will be my fifth. She will be radically different in use, but useful she will still be. Let's go! And I hope you have a beary nice day too, Kuma.
Honestly Fuze Doc and Iana have been some of the most gun I've had in this game in a while, and with other neat 5* around the corner I'm only more excited. Obviously a lot of love gets put on 6* for just being generally better but I'd love to see more unique 5*s that are incredibly viable like the R6 5*s and with 3500hrs in R6 I love the translation of their kits
My guess is Quintus or Sui-Xiang. Big defensive stats, especially that hp pool, feel befitting of a stationary boss, and both make sense to have that high of a RES
Really good video, but I personally disagree with the idea that Dollkeepers are meant to be primarily defensive units. While they certainly can be used in that way, and the Substitute does make them hard to fully take down, they don't particularly do a better job at it than just about any other 2 block melee class. They don't have defensive skills, nor high defensive stats. A small exception here is baiting ranged attacks, as they can still do that as a Substitute, unlike blocking, and if that damage isn't too great, they don't even require external healing. I'd argue they are meant to be the opposite: high risk, high reward offensive damage dealers. With the exception of Verdant S1, all of their skills do some variation of sacrificing their own survivability to grant them exceptional personal damage, most of which with quite good uptime to boot. While their Substitutes do give them a safety net, that's all they usually are, a safety net meant to allow them to more freely lean into this high risk, high reward playstyle. With the exceptions of Spalter in some cases, and Iana who I'll mention later, none of them particularly want to be in their Substitute form in most situations, beyond potentially using it to heal themselves when not near a healer. Instead, they're much more effective when this risk is managed, through healing, positioning, or other means, such that they are able to fully utilize their skills, without being interrupted by a forced swap. Even in cases like Bena and Verdant, who have talents and modules that improve the survivability of their Substitutes, I'd argue it's meant more as a way to partially mitigate the high risk aspect of the class by helping them to safely switch back. In Iana's case, because of the way her kit as a whole works, she feels in my opinion more like her own, unique branch. As you mention, her Substitute essentially functions as the de facto operator, being the one who attacks and uses the skills, while her "real self", the mirage, functions simply as a way to replenish her health and skills. While she uses the Dollkeeper mechanics to achieve this unique playstyle, I'd say it feels more similar to a "Single Tile Executor" of sorts, with the swaps to and from the Substitute being akin to deploying and retreating an Executor operator, respectively.
I really like Iana and Doc. Doc caught my eye more, because as a guard he can play a more supportive role than any other guard operator if I recall correctly. On top of that he can be a balanced laneholder with his s1 and talent. As for Iana, she is really interesting for me to use. I think she would have fitted nicely some strategies in the last CC where the withering collector (the floating thing) was invincible.
One other thing to keep in mind with the S1 is that it has no range limit. So if you set it up so that a global or long range type enemy that camps in a hard to reach spot is shooting her she'll hurl a grenade across the map and hit them. Still probably easier to use use Hoshi or even Nain for that most of the time, but something to keep in mind.
Not that many bosses have high RES. Without cheating with the wiki... Dolly? Slumbering of Sui has S on both DEF and RES so that's not it and Pompeii is chonky but I don't think it has that much attack.
Certainly at a niche position. For S2, enduring 5 seconds without getting hit is a hassle. For non 6 star squad, Scene can detect invisible enemies well already. S1's usage is too limited. Her main usage would be cutting invisible enemy on the sideline that comes one by one at the right timing. Liskarm got invisible detecting module, too.
I have build her purely because she is so unique. Although it might not be the highest numbers you have ever seen, her S2 still does some damage, and you don't have to put a healer down to heal her in most situations.
i tried to play with Iana a bit using her like i use Tequila and her damage just felt a bit not so much she's cool but i still not sure if is worth to user her on a DPS slot on squad, maybe when invisible enemies are a problem she might be the solution but still, she's a bit to situational for me.
I feel like all dollkeepers are specialist dps support units. While a fair few are good at tanking and baiting - especially elemental effects with double refreshable hp bars, a few have extra niches. Spalter with undying, bena tank/bait, kaze's extra onfield doll, Iana with invis enemies. They're fun, but often far from meta. She feels far more useful than doc which is an unfortunate class type and limited kit.
Enemy guess: Obviously some caster of sorts, but I can't think of any such bosses from events, so my best guess would be the Chapter 13 boss's 2nd form, even though I'm pretty sure it has closer to 60 RES. Edit: Scrolled through the events but didn't look at the enemies, best guess would be the Under Tides stationary boss, but 80 RES still looks too high even in EX stage, or Withered Knight in EX stage but that HP looks too high
