Clean out your main jet And it won't have to run on half choke It's at the bottom of your float ball

Do you have any tips for tilling up hard/rooted soil? I can’t get the blades more than 2” down without them grabbing and shooting the machine forward

Get a 4 inch angle grinder and sharpen the tines... Yes really.

Seems like it's time for a carburetor rebuild.

I was told by a repair guy to not use regular gas ...not even the 87 above octane...but I should use "RECREATIONAL GAS" which he says is a gas that has NO ethanol...What do you think of this advise???

It's very good advice to use non ethanol fuel in pretty much anything but your post 1990's vehicle.
The ethanol attracts water and attacks the metal and rubber components in the fuel system, requiring frequent rebuilds of the potmetal carburetor and replacement of the rubber fuel lines.
Today's vehicles have mostly plastic and stainless steel in their fuel systems which can handle the ethanol laced fuels mandated by the EPA.
