This is game changing. I will test it out in my spare time. The aim assist on the matrix did need to be adjusted slightly. Hopefully this will fox that issue. It sounds good to have the ability to customize common sync.

Hey, 1) this firmware reworks the smoothing a bit. So yes you already had custom smoothing previously, but now it works a bit differently in regard to precision. 2) This is personal preference, there is no one best value. Most XIM users preferred sync default which equals Synchronize = 5. Maybe try that value first. 3) The best DPI with Matrix is the highest one your mouse sensor and mousepad still work good on. It should be at least 3000-4000 DPI.

I have a doubt. In Apex I always played with common synchronization. With this new firmware, how do I get the same result? I still haven't been able to understand.
Create new bindings for flying and then tie them all to a new group, say group B. Create a group toggle button for B and at last a sensitivity increase smart action that is also tied to group B (if needed). See my Matrix Group Tutorial video for more details.
I installed this update through my matrix and also got the new manager app on testflight and when I try to connect its says "firmware out of date" but I have it installed already because if I try to update it again it says "this firmware has already been installed" any idea what to do I haven't been able to play in days
Hey, make sure you download the beta firmware for your Matrix, not the official firmware that it ships with. That one is older and will show this error. In the XIM Forum you must go to the Download Beta board to find it.

Do we need to set the sync on the mouse to 250 hertz as well to get the apex feel or is everything in the video you did all we have to do? Also I’ve been using 15, 75, 6.5 (for precision, response, and easing) bc I saw you use it. Just curious to you prefer this one more, or the feel of the apex mouse movement more. It is now sufficient to only change the smoothing value. You can keep your mouse at 1000Hz. Personally i prefer my old smoothing values, so the ones that you have mentioned. But most XIM Apex users will prefer these new values.
Could someone explain Response and Easing please. I use Synchronous and it's amazing but wondered about the effect of the other 2 options. Response and easing.

With the new update, does the effect of "precision" change based on whether easing and response are set to 0 vs whether they have other values? For example I'm seeing that to get old apex feelings, to use settings like 5-0-0, 15-0-0, etc... But what would happen if you used that 5 or 15 for precision and then tweaked the other two values so they're not 0? I hope my wording makes sense
Thats a good question! There is no special mode when using 0 response and 0 easing. Just some minor rework in the background that makes X-0-0 replicate the synchronization of Apex when adjusting precision.

@@rock4ever812 Yes absolutely! I would say only adjust precision first though. Say you liked Sync Common (15-0-0) but you want it with slightly less aim assist, then go 14-0-0 or even 13-0-0. Chances are that you dont even have to change the other two smoothing values to achieve an result you are happy with.

@@rock4ever812 If you used precision with your previous settings (looks like it) then yes it may feel slightly different. I cannot tell you how much of a change it actually is to the old precision, for that i would need to check back with the responsible dev, but yes you may have to readjust it in case you notice a difference.
I just received the XIM Matrix and it actually feels way better than XIM Apex. My only gripe is that I can’t really adjust recoil on the fly. But I like that you have more options to adjust it. This FMW is awful in some aspects, I mean the whole point of it was to be better than Apex but to convert matrix to apex?? Than why did I buy the matrix? I won’t be updating to this FMW. The Matrix is way better I think people just aren’t using correctly.
I also prefer the way Matrix feels as its more direct and responsive (closer to a PC). You can still update to this firmware as the synchronization must manually be turned on in each config. You would just not do that and continue with your existing configs!
still so hard for me to get the right settings down, i’ve got a few configs for anti recoil and i notice that 6800 dpi is still so slow. i’m new to xim as stated in previous video but i was wondering if high dpi is the way to go? i’ve played pc games in the past and 6800 dpi on pc is wayyy too much. thank you
Your XIM processes inputs differently to a PC, so yeah a high DPI amount must not mean your sensitivity is lightning fast. Just pick a XIM Sensitivity value that you feel comfortable with! :)
I think there is a bug in the xim matrix , i use it for my ps5 and for some reason the sensitivity feels faster when the dpi set in the manager app is lower, for example, a dpi of 400 is faster than a dpi of 3200 Any solutions ?
Hey, thats because your Matrix cannot change your mouse DPI value. This box is just an information on how much DPI your mouse runs on. If your mouse runs on 10.000 DPI, but you tell Matrix that it only runs on 800, then your sensitivity will become a lot faster because your mouse runs on much more DPI than the Matrix thinks it does. You must change your mouse DPI through the PC/Mac mouse driver, and make sure to save it onto the mouse memory so it carries over to the XIM.
are there any settings in the matrix that reduced latency or input lag with the buttons ? and is there an option to like make mouse swiping for look around and aim to be more responsive?
Hey, you can change the polling rate from 125Hz to 1000Hz. At that point all inputs have 1 millisecond delay. Its not possible to have more responsive inputs on consoles. If you experience a delay it must then come from some other source that isnt your XIM. For example the wrong ingame settings, your TV, Internet or something else.

I have the scroll up crouching, but after the update it is noticeably less responsive. Should I lower or raise the default WAIT value of 100ms for this?
You must lower it. The new firmware increases the base value so all mice have consistent scrolling. For some mice this will make it slower and less responsive. In that case lower the value.
What polling rate would you set both the xim matrix and your mouse too with this new update? I am experiencing significantly more mouse jitter than the current update from June.

Hi, I want to buy XIM Matrix for a keyboard and mouse setup. I'm getting it for Rainbow Six Siege. My concern is whether there could be mouse delay in the game or if I might encounter a mouse trap issue. Will I achieve a similar sensitivity to XIM Apex? I'm asking about these things specifically for Rainbow Six Siege. My console is PS4.
If you upgrade your Matrix firmware to the new beta one and you follow the SAB Guide from the XIM Forum then you wont have any issues. With XIM Apex that is not possible though, its hardware is too old to run more advanced SAB.
@@umismv If you use the new beta firmware with the new synchronous smoothing then Matrix will feel exactly like XIM Apex, yes. You can even fine tune it as described in a dedicated video that i uploaded a while ago! ;)
So I guess my question is if this is going to make it exactly the same as the Apex. Aside from like smart actions if we’re not using those is there any difference to using the matrix over the Apex? All I care about is mouse movement and how it feels with aim assist. Like will the matrix be slightly more accurate or they’ll just both be the same?
This firmware is an upgrade to how XIM Apex operates. You can use custom synchronization which XIM Apex doesnt have. Aside from that XIM Matrix has a better and more direct aim processing, so if you disregard any of the other XIM Matrix features then mouse/controller movements will feel more direct and responsive.

Yes it does. The cheat system is scanning for scripts such as rapid fire, so maybe dont use those. Or at least not to a level that is clearly unhuman. Then you wont have any issues.
A few questions, 1, for r6 I’ve been mousetrapped a few times without sab but with sab it feels really delayed and jittery, is there any way to fix this? 2, do I need 2 mice for pc xim manager? Because I need my mouse plugged into the xim to modify it, but then I can’t modify because it’s plugged into the xim and not the pc. Any help would be nice 👍
Hey, 1) dial in your SAB or dont use a digital keyboard 2) yes if you want to use the PC manager you need a second mouse. Alternatively use the phone manager which doesnt require another mouse

Yes its 100% identical. If you play them back to back on the same sensitivity and sync they will feel identical when using this beta firmware + the correct custom smoothing value!
Hello, I purchased the xim matrix 3 times by mistake at Saturday 8 jul 2:39 am and it gets canceled , I didn’t get the money back yet and its been more than one month .
First remove the vertical recoil with a smart action, then the horizontal one. If you dont want to do all the work yourself then you can find plenty of anti recoil smart actions for Apex Legends in the XIM Forum. The problem however is that you will be forced to use the ingame settings of someone else then, which may result in less optimal AA and mouse movements.
Should the precision value be 15 to reproduce the xim apex sync defaults? Also, after setting the precision value, change it back from custom to Synchronous, right?
15 is for Common, 5 is for sync default. You can also use Synchronize which equals 5. Synchronize is hardcoded to 5, so going back to it will always be the same as using 5-0-0.
I wanna talk about the light smoothing, it feels so good now. I play mostly WZ2 and it works so good with the AA before the update and even better after the update like it was described in the FW notes they made it even more lighter and it’s awesome 🤩
Yes you can! Create a smart action group and tie a higher sensitivity to it (or whatever you did in your auxiliary). You can for example use the smart action sensitivity modifier. Then tie an activation button to this group with which you activate and deactivate this group = axiliary config.
It wont, its a beta. In the App Store there is only the official XIM Manager compatible with the firmware that the XIM ships with. For the beta features you must always manually download the manager from the XIM Forum.
Did you download the correct firmware flashtool? There is the beta one (linked in the video description) and the one with the older firmware that your XIM ships with.
Any way for me to replicate sync off 12k dpi and 5 smoothing feeling from xim apex? I have by far the best aim on Black Ops 4 with this setting, but it seems like noone cares about Bo4 players only the new games but right now I still use the apex because I am better on it
The hardware of XIM Apex isnt good enough for SAB 3.0, the dev team has tried it and its just not possible. The hardware of XIM Apex is like 6-7 years old now.
everytime i go on the manager app it tries to connect to my xim, but it doesnt work. I get this messages everytime "connection to xim matrix has been lost! Command read timeout (-2)." Any tips to fix this?

Since those are AA related there isnt one best one since AA is personal preference. Personally i prefer lighter AA with more mouse accuracy whereas the majority prefers more AA with less mouse accuracy.
@@deffe45 Use Custom Smoothing with very low values such as 0-0-0 or 3-0-0. The higher the values the stronger the AA will become and the less accurate your mouse movements will be.
@@deffe45 Yes exactly. For more AA you increase the first value, so use say 8-0-0 or something higher. Overall it would make more sense to use the new beta firmware though as it has better smoothing for more AA!

For the PS5 you use the inbuilt 0 delay remote play from Matrix. See the XIM instructional videos on the XIM website for more details on the PS5 setup.
Thats how Apple handles beta apps, they must have an expiration date. The XIM Company will renew it incase no new beta firmware becomes available by then. The next beta firmware should be out in a few weeks already!

Hey, delete your iOS manager since you cannot use the one from the App Store anymore. Instead use Safari and click on the download link of the manager in the video description. This will open Apple Testflight and forward you to the beta manager.

In dem Bereich hat sich nichts geändert, du kannst aber auch weiterhin mit 3200 DPI spielen. Was das Smoothing angeht, solltest du auf Smoothing 2 mit z.B. Sync Off gespielt haben dann benutze Precision 1-2. Sollte es Default gewesen sein dann 6-7. Mit der neue Firmware kannst du ja die Sync anpassen! :)
Use your Safari browser on your iOS device and click on the download link of the manager in the XIM Store. This will automatically open Testflight and forward you to the download. So you dont need a code.
I updated my xim matrix and my manager and now it says my manager can’t connect to my xim bc the firmware is out of date even though I just upgraded both to the new 20230619 firmware, is there a fix for this??

You can use smoothing deactivated for even less aim assist.

They serve the same purpose as always, unless you use only use Precision. Then they are both completely turned off.
With the new update, does the effect of "precision" change based on whether easing and response are set to 0 vs whether they have other values?
For example I'm seeing that to get old apex feelings, to use settings like 5-0-0, 15-0-0, etc... But what would happen if you used that 5 or 15 for precision and then tweaked the other two values so they're not 0?

Thats a good question! There is no special mode when using 0 response and 0 easing. Just some minor rework in the background that makes X-0-0 replicate the synchronization of Apex when adjusting precision.

@@rock4ever812 Yes absolutely! I would say only adjust precision first though. Say you liked Sync Common (15-0-0) but you want it with slightly less aim assist, then go 14-0-0 or even 13-0-0. Chances are that you dont even have to change the other two smoothing values to achieve an result you are happy with.

I cannot tell you how much of a change it actually is to the old precision, for that i would need to check back with the responsible dev, but yes you may have to readjust it in case you notice a difference.

I just received the XIM Matrix and it actually feels way better than XIM Apex.
My only gripe is that I can’t really adjust recoil on the fly. But I like that you have more options to adjust it. This FMW is awful in some aspects, I mean the whole point of it was to be better than Apex but to convert matrix to apex?? Than why did I buy the matrix? I won’t be updating to this FMW. The Matrix is way better I think people just aren’t using correctly.
I also prefer the way Matrix feels as its more direct and responsive (closer to a PC). You can still update to this firmware as the synchronization must manually be turned on in each config. You would just not do that and continue with your existing configs!

Your XIM processes inputs differently to a PC, so yeah a high DPI amount must not mean your sensitivity is lightning fast. Just pick a XIM Sensitivity value that you feel comfortable with! :)

I think there is a bug in the xim matrix , i use it for my ps5 and for some reason the sensitivity feels faster when the dpi set in the manager app is lower, for example, a dpi of 400 is faster than a dpi of 3200

Hey, thats because your Matrix cannot change your mouse DPI value. This box is just an information on how much DPI your mouse runs on. If your mouse runs on 10.000 DPI, but you tell Matrix that it only runs on 800, then your sensitivity will become a lot faster because your mouse runs on much more DPI than the Matrix thinks it does. You must change your mouse DPI through the PC/Mac mouse driver, and make sure to save it onto the mouse memory so it carries over to the XIM.

Hey, you can change the polling rate from 125Hz to 1000Hz. At that point all inputs have 1 millisecond delay. Its not possible to have more responsive inputs on consoles. If you experience a delay it must then come from some other source that isnt your XIM. For example the wrong ingame settings, your TV, Internet or something else.

Yes use the new Matrix firmware (shown in this video) and set smoothing to either synchronous or 5-0-0 for the same feeling as XIM Apex.
I have the scroll up crouching, but after the update it is noticeably less responsive. Should I lower or raise the default WAIT value of 100ms for this?
You must lower it. The new firmware increases the base value so all mice have consistent scrolling. For some mice this will make it slower and less responsive. In that case lower the value.
What polling rate would you set both the xim matrix and your mouse too with this new update? I am experiencing significantly more mouse jitter than the current update from June.
Use 1000Hz for both for the best possible results!

Hi, I want to buy XIM Matrix for a keyboard and mouse setup. I'm getting it for Rainbow Six Siege. My concern is whether there could be mouse delay in the game or if I might encounter a mouse trap issue. Will I achieve a similar sensitivity to XIM Apex? I'm asking about these things specifically for Rainbow Six Siege. My console is PS4.
If you upgrade your Matrix firmware to the new beta one and you follow the SAB Guide from the XIM Forum then you wont have any issues. With XIM Apex that is not possible though, its hardware is too old to run more advanced SAB.

This firmware is an upgrade to how XIM Apex operates. You can use custom synchronization which XIM Apex doesnt have. Aside from that XIM Matrix has a better and more direct aim processing, so if you disregard any of the other XIM Matrix features then mouse/controller movements will feel more direct and responsive.
What are the preset precision, response and easing numbers for "Light?' I want to work my own sync off them.

Yes it does. The cheat system is scanning for scripts such as rapid fire, so maybe dont use those. Or at least not to a level that is clearly unhuman. Then you wont have any issues.
A few questions,
1, for r6 I’ve been mousetrapped a few times without sab but with sab it feels really delayed and jittery, is there any way to fix this?
2, do I need 2 mice for pc xim manager? Because I need my mouse plugged into the xim to modify it, but then I can’t modify because it’s plugged into the xim and not the pc. Any help would be nice 👍

1) dial in your SAB or dont use a digital keyboard
2) yes if you want to use the PC manager you need a second mouse. Alternatively use the phone manager which doesnt require another mouse

Hey, you must also update your XIM Firmware via a PC or Mac to the 0809 firmware. Then the 0809 manager can connect to it.

Yes its 100% identical. If you play them back to back on the same sensitivity and sync they will feel identical when using this beta firmware + the correct custom smoothing value!

I still cant get it right the apex legends anti recoil
First remove the vertical recoil with a smart action, then the horizontal one. If you dont want to do all the work yourself then you can find plenty of anti recoil smart actions for Apex Legends in the XIM Forum. The problem however is that you will be forced to use the ingame settings of someone else then, which may result in less optimal AA and mouse movements.
Will you be adding smoothing aim transition? More so of a cod player.
This has not been requested yet but sure, just suggest it in the XIM Forum (Matrix board) and if a few people show interest too then it will be added!
Should the precision value be 15 to reproduce the xim apex sync defaults? Also, after setting the precision value, change it back from custom to Synchronous, right?
15 is for Common, 5 is for sync default. You can also use Synchronize which equals 5. Synchronize is hardcoded to 5, so going back to it will always be the same as using 5-0-0.

Yes you can! Create a smart action group and tie a higher sensitivity to it (or whatever you did in your auxiliary). You can for example use the smart action sensitivity modifier. Then tie an activation button to this group with which you activate and deactivate this group = axiliary config.

It wont, its a beta. In the App Store there is only the official XIM Manager compatible with the firmware that the XIM ships with. For the beta features you must always manually download the manager from the XIM Forum.

Any way for me to replicate sync off 12k dpi and 5 smoothing feeling from xim apex? I have by far the best aim on Black Ops 4 with this setting, but it seems like noone cares about Bo4 players only the new games but right now I still use the apex because I am better on it
Im not sure how XIM Apex smoothing plays into it. It should be sufficient to use Presision 1 or 2 with all other ones being on 0.

The hardware of XIM Apex isnt good enough for SAB 3.0, the dev team has tried it and its just not possible. The hardware of XIM Apex is like 6-7 years old now.
everytime i go on the manager app it tries to connect to my xim, but it doesnt work. I get this messages everytime "connection to xim matrix has been lost! Command read timeout (-2)." Any tips to fix this?
Hey, have you updated both your XIM and your manager? The XIM can only be updated via a PC or Mac, and as for the manager you cannot use the one from the app store anymore. That one is older than the new beta manager.

Since those are AA related there isnt one best one since AA is personal preference. Personally i prefer lighter AA with more mouse accuracy whereas the majority prefers more AA with less mouse accuracy.

For the PS5 you use the inbuilt 0 delay remote play from Matrix. See the XIM instructional videos on the XIM website for more details on the PS5 setup.

Thats how Apple handles beta apps, they must have an expiration date. The XIM Company will renew it incase no new beta firmware becomes available by then. The next beta firmware should be out in a few weeks already!

Hey, delete your iOS manager since you cannot use the one from the App Store anymore. Instead use Safari and click on the download link of the manager in the video description. This will open Apple Testflight and forward you to the beta manager.

You can use any polling rate now with this firmware as long as you follow the smoothing recommendations! :)

You can use groups within one config to handle up to 7 weapons. See my "Nexus Weapon Tracking" video on how to do that, it works for Matrix too! :)

Ich fand das hat das maus movement immer so schön snappy gemacht.
In dem Bereich hat sich nichts geändert, du kannst aber auch weiterhin mit 3200 DPI spielen. Was das Smoothing angeht, solltest du auf Smoothing 2 mit z.B. Sync Off gespielt haben dann benutze Precision 1-2. Sollte es Default gewesen sein dann 6-7. Mit der neue Firmware kannst du ja die Sync anpassen! :)

Use your Safari browser on your iOS device and click on the download link of the manager in the XIM Store. This will automatically open Testflight and forward you to the download. So you dont need a code.
I updated my xim matrix and my manager and now it says my manager can’t connect to my xim bc the firmware is out of date even though I just upgraded both to the new 20230619 firmware, is there a fix for this??
