Both Geoff's channel and the a Capella group Voiceplay's channel are independent. The only sponsors you and your audience; especially their Patreons. Can't wait for more reactions of their covers.
Geoff is incredibly talented. He is a founding member of Voiceplay (1997). They toured extensively until Covid shut the world down. They concentrated on their studio work, and he began a solo channel as well. He/they did not return to touring. Three of the members are married with children and are happy to be home with their families. They have done a few private corporate gigs and a two day concert with Chicago last November. Next try Geoff's Sound of Silence and Voiceplay's The Way You Make Me Feel. That was in consideration for a Grammy nomination. Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voicelay.
Not only does Geoff do an amazing performance and video, he was also the arranger for the piece. He is the bass singer for the a cappella group, VoicePlay, so he has plenty of experience with writing vocal harmonies. It's a natural extension of this talent to work with his own five-octave range in this delightfully captivating way. Geoff is one of those hidden treasures; he really ought to be more known than he is, as he is one of the best bass singers performing today.
It's 100% Geoff and his clones. We only get four here. Sometimes we get five. Who better to harmonize with than himself. He has almost a five octave range.
Geat reaction! 'Durin's sons' is a reference to Durin the Deathless, father of the Dwarves in Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. This song is from the movie The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Geoff is portraying four of Thorin's thirteen Dwarves (Thorin is the one on the far right) contemplating their war against the dragon, Smaug, to retake their mountain home that he drove them from years before. Geoff tells us more about Durin in his cover of 'Song of Durin'. He and his a capella group, VoicePlay, have dozens of amazing videos that cross pretty much any genre you can think of. I would love to see you react to any of them--and this is a great time to check them out, because they specialize particularly in elaborate costumes and spooky Halloween themes. Liked and subscribed!
Always fun watching someone listen to Geoff (Pronounced Jeff) for the first time. Besides making his solo works he is the bass singer for the a capella group Voiceplay. I hope you react to them too.
Geoff (pronounced Jeff) Cass-tell-lew-chi is amazing. It's a fun rabbit hole. I hope you keep going down it, and his his acapella group, VoicePlay's rabbit hole as well. You will never be bored. They keep us on our toes. Great reaction!💙
Subscribing in hopes of more of Geoff and VoicePlay. They have a large group of fans who regularly seek out reactions to their work. You react regularly to them, and we will be here for you. Geoff does his own video editing to add all of himselves to the video. His solo work is often done by just him and his wife, Kathy. Geoff's solo channel isn't acapella, but he does all is the instrumentation himself, usually on his keyboard with plug-ins. You can't go wrong with anything from Geoff or VoicePlay.
It's all Geoff in the video, only with different "states of beard" 😂🙈 Geoff is amazingly talented ❤ Hoping for more Geoff to come on your channel 🙏🏼 He's a founding member of VoicePlay (one of the 3 big a capella groups), they are around since 1997 and have amazing covers too ❤ You can't go wrong with any of Geoff's or VoicePlay's catalogue 👍🏻
Welcome to the wonderful world of Geoff Castellucci. Geoff (pronounced Jeff) is the bass for VoicePlay, an acapella group. He is amazing and has a 5-octave range. He is one of the founding members of VoicePlay (since 1997). VoicePlay is my favorite of the acapella groups. I have subscribed for more Geoff reactions and hopefully VoicePlay reactions. VoicePlay are known as the theater kids of acapella. For VoicePlay, I would recommend: "Nothing Else Matters", "Dream On", "Hoist The Colors", "Drunken Sailor", "Valhalla Calling" (my favorite), "Be Prepared", "Thriller", "The Dragonborn Comes", "Seven Nation Army" are just a few, they have a huge library to choose from. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong. For Geoff, I would recommend: "Song of Durin", "16-Tons", "Sound of Silence", "Unshaken", "Ghost Riders in the Sky", "Jack's Lament" and "Ain't No Sunshine". Again, he has a large library to choose from, so you won't go wrong with which ever song you choose. Enjoy the rabbit hole.
"Different in the best was possible" - you just summarized Geoff's channel. Browse through his songs and pick any that appeal to you -- they'll all as well done as this one. Thanks for reacting. I hope to see more of Geoff or VoicePlay from you.
It's always kind of a kick to watch someone react to Geoff for the first time, and this video is especially fun as a first-time viewing, because of the different vocal ranges and different makeup/costumes Geoff has. It's not that unusual for someone who's never seen Geoff before go through the entire video without picking up that it's all one person, both in the video and singing the song! While Geoff always performs all of the vocals for his covers, often his "clones" will just appear as Geoff, in different clothing but not the incredible makeup he had here, so it's obvious it's all the same person. But when Geoff goes all out, it's amazing how much he can transform himself! This is the second song of his "dwarven" trilogy. It started out with Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, a song that was actually sung in the first of The Hobbit movies, An Unexpected Journey. Then this song, which was sung over the ending credits of the 2nd movie in The Hobbit trilogy by Ed Sheeran, who wrote it. And the final one (so far) is Durin's Song, which is a poem/song that was in the first book of The Lord of the Rings trilogy books, but never appeared in any of the movies.
VoicePlay is an acapella group started in 1997, has had a few changes in personnel over the years. When COVID kept them from touring, Geoff was bored and started his non-acapella solos. Darn he's good. This one is part of the Tolkien books. This is the second solo from The Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug. The first was Misty Mountains Cold. The most recent is Song of Durin. He probably has close to 50 video solos all of them good. Geoff (Jeff) has an incredible range, from A0 (growl), B0 (subharmonic), F1 (full chest voice), B4 (about where he'll do a mix, and his highest note is Bb5 which is just over 5 octaves. Check out VoicePlay's Thriller video which they did for Halloween. Both Geoff and VoicePlay are independent meaning they do all the work from arranging the music, staging, costuming, makeup (bring in Rick Underwood for complicated makeup and prosthetics, video and pre-mix audio (bring in Ed Boyer for final mix, lighting, CGI, green screens is done by Eli (VoicePlay's high rock tenor), They have no company that tells them what to do, which means that they keep the creativity in house. Geoff and his wife Kathy (production manager for both Geoff and VoicePlay) are usually on their own for Geoff's solos but not always, Layne (beatboxer, baritone, violinist) sometimes steps in for camera work, Eli (like jelly) often does Geoff's lighting. Pentatonix does some lovely work, but they are owned by Sony, Home Free now with a company. VoicePlay has 3 fellows that alternate getting the work done for that project: Layne, Geoff, and recently Eli has taken turns. The projects are usually aimed for 1/month but that doesn't always work out. Geoff had the Wicked project and getting the arrangements perfect took him nearly 2 yrs. But it was worth it - consider checking out Wicked.
Geoff is amazing - he is also the bass of the most incredible acapella group Voiceplay. They always do entertaining vids and amazing arrangements. 🌹🕊
Pronounced Jeff Casta-lew-chee. Yes, all parts are him, as are all characters on-screen.

I like that type of song & also the deep voice☺️
Subscribing to hopefully follow your journey down the Geoff rabbit hole. And maybe also down the VoicePlay rabbit hole too?

Yes, he is doing all the parts, but he doesn’t do the final mix. Also, his first name is pronounced like “Jeff.”

In The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, Durin is the name of a dwarf and the leader of a clan of dwarves known as Durin's Folk
