As a kinesiology major, I appreciate the use of anatomy and helping everyone understand how the body works in the golf swing. You guys have unlocked my understanding of how to swing the club more than anybody on the internet. Common elite golf school W.
Let’s go!! Thanks for the support
Your guidance on the right arm was invaluable, as mastering the transition from backswing to downswing was crucial for achieving consistent and accurate ball striking.
Thank you Coaches for your time and expertise . . . best 15 minutes I ever spent.
Wow!! That’s high praise thank you so much
Brilliant stuff! Such clarity in what information you’re delivering - love breaking down how the body works into its separate components.
I bet a lot of people who struggled to fix a ‘flying elbow’ for years finally understand the movement.
Yes! Thank you
Always love your content! Just a couple cool video ideas.. I wish there was more emphasis on outcomes to check if you are doing the drill or general pattern correctly, like where the ball should start, what height and what should your divot look like, should your face be open, square or closed at impact, and what is the path? is this a quick around the corner release, hold off or down the line, Is this a backswing loading pattern for all shot shapes and how do things change for different shots? just some fun ideas! I super appreciate you guys!
At 6:43, perfect, thank you!
You guys have done it again! What an amazing video to explain effortlessly synchronized power.
Thanks so much!
I like the cat chases the dog visual. That mental rehearsal has improved my strike. My maps were good before, but this helps remind the upper body to follow the turn instead of lashing at the ball.

This is great guys! Tyler worked on this with me at golf school this weekend. It's been super helpful! Hitting it well on the range--but also (Tyler) keeping my forearms loose:). Thanks!
Gotta keep it loose!! Good to see you this past weekend James
Once again great video.
Thanks so much!
The rt wrist extension at address works. I'm not sure why it works, but it works. Changed my iron play completely. Impressive compression!
Let’s go!
Helpful vid. The pieces are starting to fall into place in my swing rebuild, but this piece has been missing. Thanks for the help, boys.
Glad it helped!
Love it. As usual, another great tutorial video. THANKS YOU!! Just one thing though, it would be awesome if you guys could include this (and I've been bugging EGS for this😅). If you could take some front-on view clips so we can also see how the movements (impact, release, follow thru, etc) from that angle. Not sure if the 'front-on' view is the right word, I meant the view that one would see as he stands in front of you when you hit. Thanks again.
👍👍
If you do these drills and just hit snap bullet pulls. Would you think I not getting the club correctly set initially or not keeping the right wrist flex long enough to keep the club head behind the hands as I rotate or rotating incorrectly?
So very good,
Where does the ab duct/adduct shoulder motion fit into this equation.
thank you!
You guys are the best 🙌🏻🙌🏻 if TJ is doing that for the next couple months, sounds like I should too 🫡
Love the video! Any adjustments to the 'trail arm map' for driver or would you say its the same movement sequence?
Same moves!
Great video as usual! I find this drill to be most challenging when doing it slowly, almost like trying to hit the ball solid but as short as possible (low speed tends to highlight my lack of control). Been experimenting with longer irons (hit slowly) as well just to mix it up a bit. Way to go, or do I risk going down the wrong path?
Nope that sounds like a great approach!
Thanks for this valuable lesson, as always. Dtl view is kind of disorienting though, specially if you want to know what’s happening on the left side of the body in space. I learn more from frontal view.
We will try to get some more frontal view 👍
@@elitegolfschools, thank you.
Really appreciate this video. I will be working on this for next few weeks. Where did you guys film this? Colorado somewhere?
Yep! Lone Tree CO
Value your thoughts on what i call the arm twirl! best done with a tennis racket to start and produce swish, never played baseball but i relate to batters soft but loaded arm twirl! But sequence is key ie after ground pressure and chest rotation
If i dont think of the twirl my sporting brain! will try and produce speed with excessive body movement/effort rather than take care of all the other forces in a golf swing rather tan instinctively knowing my arms will produce speed through the ball
Im an old self taught 5 hcp but for the first time having to think about it as teaching new GF golf!
Twirl away baby! Do what works for you!
Great stuff! Thanks for this one as it is exactly what I am working on now. A question about the finish after the completion of the rotation. I notice the toe of TJ's club is up, whereas my tenancy is to allow my wrists to release. Do you recommend working to hold off on the release, or is this something that just happens when we add speed? Thanks!
I wouldn’t necessarily “hold” the release from happening. At higher speeds the toe will start to release more, this is just basic physics. There are other factors that produce a more stable clubface and manually doing it with the wrists isn’t the preferred 👍
@@elitegolfschools Thanks for the reply! Makes sense. Of course, I am fighting existing muscle memory so need to focus on delaying the release!
great but what about woods and hybrids?
Same thing!
Can you explain how the club heel does or doesn’t hit the ball with that much hand and shaft lean half way through the downswing ultimately causing a shank? Would too tight a grip cause a shank?
Eventually you gotta release it👍 don’t hold it forever
Do you have any tips on how to incorporate this into a full swing? When I start from the preset position at address that TJ shows, it feels stable and powerful all the way through. However, when I try to incorporate it into my swing, it feels like I fall out of sync and lose all stability. Thanks!
It’s a process for sure. Keep doing the drill, and soon the dots will start to connect
I do these drills and can hit right arm only up to a hybrid, But although im old im a Strong Male! Most should do these drills with a Tennis Racket! at least to start
Im not yet sure about your concept of the right arm release point as for me its mainly the Left side that brings the right release point target side yes as well as the chest
1st class!
What's the instructors name working with TJ?
Tyler Parsloe!
So where do you feel the power of the rotation? Should you feel more of a concentration from the core? Should it feel more like a throw and concentration from the trail arm? Or should it be a feeling of the lead side rotating through? Unfortunately it is the question that had eluded me.
I think it all depends on the individual 👍
For me its a 2 handed throw! or swish very hard to do Best done first with a tennis racket, Body rotation,Core,GF take care of everything else/forces (F =MA) giving your sporting brain confidence the arms will just give the speed element,Sequencing is the Key
Instructor on the right… his club face looks very open compared to the on on the left At 2.41
why do i shank it when i try to get my elbow infront?
You probably don’t have space for it. Or, you’re holding the clubhead back from releasing
This back swing looks to have the toe up instead of the toe matching the spine angle. This is where I lose any understanding of all the other videos combined with this move. When I play with this back swing strikes are weak and spinny. When I play with a toe matching the spine angle I hit draws and hooks....I'm lost
There’s probably a nice middle ground in there somewhere for you
@@elitegolfschoolsnot a good answer
@@bmatt772727272 sorry you didn’t like it. Did you have a question we could help you with?? 🙏❤️
@@elitegolfschools no. Like your content. Just thought the answer didn’t solve his problem
@@bmatt772727272 okay, just highlighting that everything is to be don’t in spectrums easy to battle between to evils. A nice balance between is usually ideal
Good stuff except for the excessive “cools”. Excuse me I’m old.
Cool 😎
