That wonderful opening theme music by Ron Goodwin just glues you straight into staying with this movie, which was so well acted by all the players in it.
@@ROCKY-pu1zt: Ahh..!!! Ditto!! 😌
Although there are only four films, which aren't very faithfl to the Christie stories - for me, when I think of Miss Marple, I think of the superlative Margaret Rutherford.
Same composer who did the fabulous opening music for Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy in 1971, in which the camera moves down the Thames River and under the bridge in London
I well remember that time . Todays life is Hell on earth....CT on every corner, Restrictions on everything ( apart from Taxes ) people riding Bicycles with Ass in air and a funny hat on , torment look on face , police after money with speed cameras everywhere you go , queues in shops , The list goes on and on, Railway Rolling stock that looks and feels like cattle wagons
*Thoroughly good escape entertainment. Although detested by Agatha Christie who claimed that her Miss Marple character was turned into a bulldog, most people loved it and Margaret Rutherford's portrayal.*
Great movie!! Margaret Rutherford was an incredible actress and she’s an amazing Miss Marple ❤️❤️ R.I.P.
I’ve never appreciated until now how well directed these opening titles are.

Love the music, takes you right into the movie! Watched so many times.
Great childhood memories - still love it! Greetings from Germany!
Für mich auch - die Titelmelody ist immer wieder bezaubernd...charming🥰
I love it too. I lived in Frankfurt am Main for 11 years

That was an era when instrumental music was popular as a genre with bands like The Ventures, Shadows, Herb Alpert, Ron Goodwin among so many others

I love Miss Marple!
Margret Rutherford and Alistair Sim are two of my favourites 😊

Funny that Joan Hickson is in the film. I wonde if she had a premonition😅. This had the best Marple theme tune.

Интересно,что в этом фильме встретились две Мисс Марпл- одна настоящая,а другая будущая-Joan Hickson.😉
I was expecting the station announcer to suddenly say " You want me to show you my bum !! " . Devotees of ' Ooh, you are Awful ' will get it !
Tempo a little bit quick taken off record....still good Thanks for posting 🛤️
