I was 18 years old in 1965.It was without doubt the best time ever to be young. We had it all...Clothes...records..Scooters...Great clubs..and the coolest music on the planet. We were all employed and earning good money. This all sounds so clichet now but is is true...every word I say.
was the lambretta the scooter of choice or the vesba i used to have a vesba but told lambretta was a better bike. long time ago this was though yes great times back then
@@22buck1 Hello,I had a Vespa as It was a good deal at the time.(Bank Of Mum & Dad)I did not have it for long as I sold it to a Mate At University.I bought a Mini cooper S.The Girls loved it.Cruising up and down the King's Road In Chelsea.Halcyon days indeed.!!!
I had a Lambretta but most of the older Mod's had Vespa's..... I could leave them behind me for a while, off the trafic light's but they were much quicker, once going.....
I was there in 64 but unfortunately I was only one month old so not much to remember, I was a revival mod 79 of cause it was different from 64 how could it not be , us revival mods didn't want to go back in time we were living our own lives in our own time and the influences.styes and music and circumstances which surrounded us,we took the roots from the 60s mods their music/styles scooters and more and blended it with our fashion music and experience, the original mods can look down on us we never look down on them but we were different it was our time yours had past
This is early Mod's.... The clothes are still slightly 'old fashioned'. The music really "took me back". Lot of Blue's being played and most of the Band's played it too.
@@greatsongsuemorrris791 Late 50's was TEDDY BOY . As for Steve, he was a Mod BUT he was looking like all Mod's looked back then. LOL You've got it round the wrong way..... He was copying us, not the other way around. We were starting to grow our hair, use to be long enougth to "Back comb" for that raised back of the head look. We were growing our hair longer, so as NOT to look like our Father's. LOL Mod's, like Teddyboy's, & Rocker's were all rebelling against our parent's.... Music, Clothes, Hair length. I'm sorry to have to correct you all the time Sue, but you keep getting thing's WRONG. The Who & The Face's were take in by the Mod's BUT they were NOT fashion icon's and we never copied their look. They dressed that way, to be accepted by us. Both band's didn't become popular until the whole 'Mod' scene was toward's the end of it's life.
Coming out of the 50s poor as fuck work all week to buy that record that casual t shirt thinking we were kings and knew it all now we are pensioners looking back it was the highlight of our lives
How old are you ? What club's you use to visit? We'd go well out of our way if a visiting Blue's artist was in the country.... I lived near Camberly and the Agingcourt was our venue. We'd travel to Aldershot, also Windsor to visit the Ricky Tic.

We were certainly very fortunate to have been teens in the 60’s .
Definitely jealous
2 right..... Everything started with Mod's..... Take a look at some of the High Street fashion Shop's, they all started in or just after "Mod's".
Brings back happy memories of the Sixties.
As cool as it it could get and then some cooler !! Oh yes !! .
Fantastic!Nothing against mod revivalist but only the originals can truly 'know' 1964 because you had to be there in 1964✌️

Everything is right about this film. The clothes, the music and the dancing. And mods hardly ever courted the camera, it just wasn't cool.
First girl is a fox.Im hot for 60s gals.
LIKE# 8 So cool. What does Mod stand for?
Modernists, but nobody used that word. It was just 'mods'.
Modern
Shame they don’t dance in time to the music
Great video, music choice does not fit the mod scene though. You kind of ruined it.
You NUT's or just not there at the time ??????????? That was what we were listening to.....
