Mask of Ptoh-Ristus, give me sight beyond sight!
Appreciate you two pushing things a bit without any clerics in the party :)
I love how off the rails that was. But still so much information worked out! Please let Mort live to see level 8!
“Classic David Tangent” is the name of my new punk rock/classical music mix band
🎸
You guys are the best. Thanks for the consistent joy you bring. There are always repeated moments of pure brilliance on display. It's aspirational play that is genuine and truly fun. Many laughs are had. What a cool episode with several distinct segments! Fingers crossed for next week!!!
Seconded!
One of the joys of a dungeon this large - it’s too large, and the factions are too significant, too easily clear. Even in areas the AV Club has been in before the dangers remain.
This made my commute so much better. Thanks Fellas! Spoilers below:
I will admit I was screaming “No!” When Ted and David hatched the plan to steal the Ruby Throne and F with Gerrilad and the Baboons. That has not gone well for the Club in the past. Then when Mort went alone to Nefreet’s tomb! I hope they have either Lothar or Av join them next time for that showdown.
Yes, I believe I may have made some poor decisions along the way that night...
@@warduke42 you are David were riding the lightning!!!
I love that Mumm-Ra is a universal reference for the group.
“Annncient spirits of evil, transform this withered form into…
Mumm-RAAA!”
Throw away an Ioun stone in a previous episode and it's no big deal, just a mere bauble. See new unattended Ioun stone, think about risking the entire emissary mission to snatch it. Fun episode to listen to, can't wait to see what the next one brings.
🤭
I just want let you know how much of a fan of you guy me and my family are!! We have binged every episode until now. I play the videos when putting my baby to sleep and my wife demands for me to put it on before bed to help her sleep as well. She tells me that Jon's voice is very soothing, haha.
Uh-oh, make sure to turn down all the swearing! 😜
Avaricios is possessed by the spirit of a legendary trickster.... what's David's excuse?! He almost had to pay the troll toll right then and there!
Also teleporting the LRCPs treasure out of their vault would be Ocean's 11-level
Yes, it is Tuesday! We all know that means time for David shenanigans (if he shows tonight). @1:23 there it is like I knew it would be. Getting 3 teleport circle codes, an exit to the front of the cliffs, and access to the fungal forest (through the rooms of the elite children of Daeno (sp). What fun will be had.
I actually have a thought that David skips some games because he is overwhelmed with crazy ideas of things to do and can't decide on which one the group will most likely go along with.
And @1:28 there is the David I knew would show up. Activate crazy play D as in David. And go!
@1:33 Abort! And of course, David tries to come up with a backup plan.
And cliff hanger, roll for initiative!
I love every video that 3d6 Down The Line does.
Absolutely fantastic episode! It is a real treat to see players engage with the campaign as much as the 3D6 DTL crew does, and a thoughtful DM at the helm that is always dishing out good methodology
Oh what fun! I can’t wait for the rest of the group to join! 😂
Dave and Ted, I like that you guys went off the rails this episode! You guys accomplished a lot in one episode.
Nice bit of exploring and assessing of the capabilities of the fire portal and the carpets. But oh my, that cliffhanger!
I can't barely wait 'till next week, also I wonder who Mike and Matt are gonna bring to face this mummy haha
Welcome to the Arden Vul Engagement Farm. Sorry, but we don't serve Elves or followers of Set.
Great episode! Looking forward to more!
I was grinning so wide at the thought of randomly messing with Gerrilad. Just the the thought of him going apoplectic wondering where the AV club is coming from 😂
Dropping the rug in the Beastman hall was the first thing I thought of as well. So tempting. I love set ups like that in my games. It's right there withing your grasp, but so dangerous to event smell, let along touch.
Classic David tangent incoming
lol, but to be fair, what may appear to be a tangent is actually David expertly pinpointing an unforeseen opportunity, and seizing it. He is legitimately amazing at this. For sure, it often throws for me a loop, but it keeps me on my toes, and keeps me entertained, to boot!
@@3D6DTL I live for the David tangents. Some absolutely terrible plans have been hatched out of that twisted mind (the "Get her, Ray!" moment comes to mind), but they are ALWAYS fun to watch unfold!
David had a solid plan on this one, stymied somewhat by monkies, but swiftly came up with an excellent diversion. Distrahunt simiae, carpe rubinus lapis! Mort was all in and the fact that it would have poked the bear was just a happy bonus. Shame about the damn thing being attached to the floor.

David are you trying to see how many characters you can have a campaign? Just need to ask.
I knew as soon as Jon said there were feces all over the ruby throne room that baboons had taken command, perhaps only temporarily, and then he says there are signs of one sitting on the throne! What's that about? Is Gerrilad on an expedition? Jailed? Did the Azure Shield wander around places they shouldn't have been? Find out on a future episode of the most criminally underwatched let's play series.
Consistent door behaviour: doors open into rooms, away from exteriors, away from hallways, toward the closest wall.
I was wondering John, when are many hooks to many? Is this just a thing in sandbox / megadungeon campaigns or is there a delicate limit when players cannot decide what to do next (because the list is so long).
Running a sandbox myself at the moment and asked myself that many times...
Great episode again, always looking forward to them 😊
If they are spoiled for choice, I consider it a win. Up to the players to manage their goals.
@@3D6DTL thank you. Yeah its all about the choices the players make 👍
