There goes more of my wallet! I've been adding a ton of Switch physical games to my collection over the past few weeks - scouring your videos for hidden gems etc.
Hey Metal Jesus since you're so close to a million, do you have a video planned when hit a million? Or what are you doing when you do would love to hear what you're thinking.
No wonder, there are 3183 Switch games and it's increasing. Who needs all this shit? Good games are drowning in masses of average (or below-average) stuff. The SNES had "just" 1757 games and that's more than enough.
@@Simon-zo1vf Not wrong there. Tons of shovelware but in all that garbage there's some gems. Unfortunately some may not be found till the Switch era is over.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
You had me sold on the SHMUP collection, specially the Raiden esch one. I haven't played it for a while but I still have a copy of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit (1998) on Microsoft Windows and Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS2. Fantastic games.
That freedom finger game looks amazing! Kind of reminds me of Alien Hominid with the very sketch/hand drawn art style and I loved that game. Definitely going to be keeping my eye out for a copy!
Sweet list, I am interested in that Schmup collection and I'm glad you discovered Untitled Goose Game. HONK! My recent physical Switch pick up are: Ikaruga, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, MOON, and Cross Code
I’m starting to get back into gaming. The Switch is looking more appealing. I was thinking of going PC route but too expensive. Switch is portable and surprisingly has some great games I would be interested in playing. Great video!
@@notthatdigusted7468 sure if you want to pay 3x the msrp for games that cost under $10 digitally. It’s hard to justifying picking up the physical copy
I saw Freedom Finger and instantly clicked. I wish it had more players that tried their asses off on the leaderboards. It's kinda boring being on the top alone lmao
Metal jesus rocks is a true vintage retro gamer and game collector, who appreciates decent gameplay even if they are not super high graphics or have a massive storyline like most games in 2020. Metal jesus rocks can play Atari games one minute then ps4 games the next. You forget he used to help create games so he appreciates work done to most games so long as they are complete on release, unlike fallout 76 which was a failed cashgrab. Granted they released over 100 updates since its release so if anyone feels like spending a while updating the game then I'm sure there is decent gameplay.
Mate MJR tries to cop the entire library for a console, he's a game collector. Some games are going to be bad some will be epic. stop hating, put the bong down and get some fresh air.

Have you ever tried Crypt of the Serpent King game on PS4? Its a dungeon crawler although its cheesy and cheap looking. You kill enemies, collect keys to unlock boss room, defeat boss rinse and repeat. It's worth checking out and a nice distraction for a few hours.
That mech game looks fun, it’s been a long time since I got into one. I had Untitled Goose Game come in but still need to break into it, I always heard good things
I just recently bought Untitled Goose Game. It's such a hilarious game the that goose does not care to make people's lives heck just for fun. Really fun just to unwind. Probably check out the other ones as well soon enough. Very well picks.
Id like to see a list from the MJR crew of games that you were very dissapointed with at first or even hated but then grew to love. For me, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Gears of War make my list.
Freedom Finger is the only one of these I currently own in physical form, but a few are on my wishlist. The problem is I already have about 40 games in the backlog so I do not really need to be adding too many more.
Metal Jesus (MJ) - The Michael Jordan of video games right here. At least half of these games I'd like to play. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Black Future ‘88, Untitled Goose Game, Wallachia: Reign of Dracula and Freedom Finger are my main picks here. Also, that War Mech fighter looks incredible, they did a great job with the graphics on that one. The Switch continues to impress me. Thanks Metal Jesus!
Talking of Switch games you have to play Slaps and Beans! It's a comedy side scrolling beat em up based on the popular Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films that were very big in mainland Europe. There are some mini games thrown in too. This game was made with love, you have to give it a go.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is definitely worth picking up on PS4, I have the original on PS3 and the difference is stark, the remaster is super sharp and clean looking, obviously it runs at a higher resolution but the textures have been bumped up in quality too. It's also 60fps, which is the icing on the cake.
MJR what are you doing making my backlog grow. Black Friday deals already did that for the last four weeks ha ha Ha. As usual another great video thanks.
Greetings from Mars! Just in case your feeling the travel bug there, when I first arrived here it was a little like...MAN! I think I'm really going to take a hit in my social life with the look of this neighbourhood! But, I've adapted fairly well so far, I mean, nothing to living on an endless desert with a space suit on. Right?
Great group of games. I am actually a BIG fan of Armed 7. I got it for the dreamcast when it was released a few years back. I'm surprised you dislike it so much.
Man you're one cool dude. You give me the AVGN\ CGRUndertow vibes which is always a plus :). I picked up a few of the games from a few of your videos. Keep it up and stay safe out there
Got NFS hot pursuit because I loved it on my 360... And it looks exactly like my 360 version.. heck even less detailed in some areas. I was bummed out when I saw they removed the old game on steam and now are reselling it at $40+ for what is really a crossplay update.
I can't remember if you've already featured it on your channel, but if not check out Crystal Rift on PS4. It's another really cool grid-based dungeon crawler and it supports VR (!).
i got some switch games recently as well and you can bet your tooshy i got 'em physical! i recently purchased: Finding Teddy II, Door Kickers: Action Squad, Elliot Quest, Dungreed, Atomicrops, Untitled Goose Game, Mechstermination Force, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Prinny 1-2, Furwind, The Wonderful 101 Remastered, Streets of Rage 4, SteamWorld Dig 2, Rad Rodgers, Timespinner, Cat Quest 1 & 2, Ghostbusters, Rogue Legacy, A Hole New World, Gigantic Army.
MJR and physical media - name a more iconic duo
MJR and Reggie
Batman and Robin
Starsky and Hutch

Great video dude, I was out Christmas shopping today. Kicking myself I didn't pick up the physical versions of the Ori games on the Switch today
Freedom Finger has amazing music by AESOP ROCK. Legendary long time hip hop veteran.
The music in the game is excellent! Noticed it immediately 🤘
Was looking for this comment. Amen.
That actually almost sells this game for me. Freedom Finger isn't my usual genre of game but I'll keep an eye out for it!
Hey Metal Jesus since you're so close to a million, do you have a video planned when hit a million? Or what are you doing when you do would love to hear what you're thinking.
He will give some of is consoles and games
Yeah. I'm hoping there is some cool giveaway. If not games, some cool MJR swag sent to a number of followers.
MJR: "It's a more realistic version of Castlevania"
*Double Jumps*
7:32 We have the physical copy of Untitled Goose. My kids absolutely love it. Can play it two player!
Freedom finger features music from Aesop Rock, too
Black Future ‘88 & Freedom Finger are true (hidden) gems
And Inertial Drift if you like racing as well.
Good call!
I ordered Black Future '88 after watching this vid!
MJ thanks for the continued quality content during these stressful times
Glad you enjoy it!
Thank You Very Very Much
HOLY CRAP, MJR mentioned Tiger-Heli! I never hear anyone talk about that. I spent many hours playing that on my NES back in the day. 😬👍🏼
I love how many amazing games are on the switch. It's sad that most of them get overlooked!!!

I don’t know if you covered The Messenger yet, but it’s easily my favorite indy game on the Switch.
"A good goose" These words have never been said together !
Untitled Goose Game is amazing. My 6 year old LOVED it. We had a ton of fun playing the 2 player co-op with him and beating the game together!

If only the MGS remastered collection would rear it's head on the switch.

How have you never thought to mention your second channel?
U gotta promote that stuff. Your content is such a joy to so many.
Maybe you would consider naming it thanks.
Freedom Finger?! Don't threaten me with a good time! 😃

Consider the 3ds as well. Lot of great exclusives and retro if you go the mod route.
IDK what is it about those tiny Switch boxes but they make me want to collect them much more than regular DVD cases
As always MJR, thanks for all you do for us gamers. I enjoy your videos. It would be awesome to hang out with you and drink a beer and play some games
Another great video and I don't even have a switch....I think it's the enthusiasm for all types of games!
MJR thanks for showing the physical versions of switch games. I don’t necessarily like buying digital copies of games.
"Freedom Finger" * snort * it'll set you free ladies!
watching for years totally missed you had an extras channel ... i am there !!
Perfect thing to wake up to. Awesome.
The only problem is that most of the ones you listed are extremely limited physical releases.
That is why ebay was invented.

Freedom finger has a top notch soundtrack
Don't take 8:47 out of context!
Thank you MJR for another great video, I'm going to pick inertial drift, I love hotshot racing, and it looks like a very similar game play.

Hello MJR! Have you tried Gigantic Army, from Pixelart? Great run and gun!!
Oh yeah, Wallachia (Wa-lock-ee-a) was a medieval nation that was ruled by Vlad the Impaler, the real life Dracula. It’s the Transylvania region.
From what I see it def reminds me of Shadow of the Beast
Completely agree with the inertial drift game..how you compared it to skate was awesome man. Thanks again
I've been playing NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered every weekend online since it came out. I love that game!
I actually got out of bed and went to my PC when I saw the bit on Inertial Drift. There's a demo on Steam so I got to try it and...yeah, it's a trip.
