I love the sound of all those pistons :). This is surprisingly simple and compact... my various attempts at constructing elevator designs led to them being massively complex and prone to breaking. This is genius!

@@Subcinerar The point of piston elevators is that they're made out of pistons. If you don't build it out of pistons then it won't be a piston elevator. This tutorial is for people who wanna make piston elevators. Not scaffolding towers, not water elevators, not minecart elevators. PISTON elevators.
I've had this in my Minecraft world for 5 years now, it still works like a charm ever since I built it :D granted there are scaffolding blocks and minecart elevators now, but I always like the crisp feeling of a snappy piston elevator.
Okay. But. Just use scaffoldings? That’s what I do. Make a stone (or whatever tickles ur pickle.) elevator, and place the scaffoldings in it. Simple. Takes 3 minutes depending on how high you want it.
Or you can just use a dirt staircase. Or, you know, don't build buildings with multiple floors to begin with. Then you wouldn't need any vertical structures at all. I hope you're getting my sarcasm.

I'm glad there's an older version because I have an Xbox 360 and it cannot update minecraft so there are like no slime blocks and observers and more so I'm glad there's a working version for the Xbox 360.

Wow thanks! My version of minecraft is really old so it’s hard to make an elevator if you don’t have honey or slime blocks but you just used pistons! Respect for you good sir!

Command blocks are the Future elevator, i ALWAYS use them, because the command is very easy.
