    The Byzantine form of Signing oneself with the Cross is with the first three fingers ש brought together at the tips (Crowns). The שמע is recited with these outstreched fingers before the Sign of the Cross is made over oneself. The Hypostatic Union of King Messiah is represented by the two remaining fingers.

    Excellent. Very interesting. The point about the fourth branch representing the hypostatic union is very moving as well as awesome considering man's current condition. Thank you.

    Thank you for this show, which I'm sure, for many of us, clarified many unknowns regarding the Jewish tradition and the connection with the Catholic Church.
    Please, if you can tell me why some rabbis, when they pray in the synagogue, or in another place of prayer, wear two boxes of tefillin on their heads? Is it something related to the Jewish branch they belong to, or some other particular aspect?

    Roy, if I may address you by the first name, I would like to ask you to insert, when and where appropriate in a future video, the " Te Ipermaho " " The Hymn " of Byzantine Empire.... May God keep and guide you.... You are a blessing...

    Interesting and very deep. I wonder how many Jews would understand this or accept it from a christian. It's been forever hidden from them. I'm glad you brought Spock into it, lol. Cultural icon using the 3 point Shin. I remember hearing him say this in maybe the same interview

      I looked into the author of these these texts, he was a rabbi called David Paul Drach (full name David Paul Louis Bernard Drach) who eventually converted to Christianity. His father was a noted Rabbi as well. I think it lends it more credibility but I doubt that many Jews would accept this regardless.

    Oh my goodnessm, Roy. That was definitely so cool. Thank you for helping gentiles like me understand the scripture better. I keep telling my student, if Jesus was Filipino, a filipino can explain him way better than any nationality. Mother Mary coming to your life point to us that it is safe to listen to you. God bless you.

    Thank you for all that you share, Roy. I've learned so much from you throughout the years and can't be grateful enough...
    I have a question, if you have time to answer please do: What exactly is the Palestine Targum? Is it part of the Talmud? If not, do they correlate with one another? ... then I was told it was called the 'Jerusalem Targum' .. Im confused

    • @JewishCatholic
      @JewishCatholic  Месяц назад +2

      "Targum" refers to a translation of from the Hebrew Scriptures into Aramaic, sometimes also incorporating commentary. There were several, made and used in different regions where there were Jewish populations, hence the "Jerusalem Targum" and the "Babylonian Targum", etc.

    I ran across the 3/4 pattern in reading the Scriptures, this explains why. The most obvious is Amos where he repeats "For three and for four things I hold you accountable ...". I also ran across the 3/5 pattern, but that wouldn't make sense for the Jewish people since Mary didn't exist yet.

    Mr. Roy, I noticed that St. Marks painting depicts Mary and Baby Jesus with a somewhat dark skin pigment, is that the true skin color of The Blessed Mother and our Lord?

      I'm pretty sure that gentile converts were brought up to speed with things like this, they're teaching and memory aids for theology in the same way St Patrick used the Shamrock to explain the Trinity to the Irish
