  • The fifth of The Saint Brigid's Sessions features Irish Airs and Laments played by Frank Cassidy (whistle and banjo), Denis Alexander (violin and viola) and Jeff McClintock (Melodeon, Harmonium and Guitar).
    Recorded live at the Saint Brigid's Centre For The Arts in Ottawa, the sessions are broadcast on CKCU 93.1 FM.

      Yes absolutely. I feel connected a lot recently to Korea. I've connected with many other places but my HONE and heart always is rooted in Ireland. I Know the power of this living entity Róisín. She is the heart and we are calling you all home. I love you from Ireland.

    They are amazing, such beautiful talent! I was shocked when I heard Ottawa because I live in Ottawa. I don't know how it showed up on my recommendations. Does anyone know when they would have a live performance that others can attend? Thanks!

    I've always been very curious about whistles with the staple looking part on the head. Does it have an acoustic function?

      Yes, it helps with wind resistance :)

      @@diogoguedesa3039 Ah! Thanks. It seems to be a feature on older or massed produced whistles rather than hand made high end whistles one find now.

    A bit late but a beautiful lament is not included - an bonnan bui- lament for DEAD BIRD or for whatever.
