Some people are literally made for each other. These two were it. There was no other love better than Meredith and Derek. For 11 seasons it has been these two and now they wanna give her new people to be with but nobody has that same sparkle with her and nobody compares.

They definitely should do that, having the kids ether go live with Bailey and Ben or do it so they have visitation with amilia and Maggie but they go to live with Alex family because he's a pediatrician but would definitely make sure to get them the best medical treatment offered. He would never give it a second thought about taking them into his care because of all of the things she did for him
I've been watching the entire series from the beginning as well. I'm up to the outstanding season 6 finale that saw a shooter going on a rampage at Seattle Grace. And all I can say is after Scandal I am not a huge fan of Shonda Rhimes, but I have to give credit where credit is due and say more often than not she was very on target with the storytelling on Grey's mostly due to consistent character development of Meredith, Cristina, Derek, Miranda and the rest of the crew. It was an element sorely missed on Scandal.
I think the show should end with mer dying and walking through the hospital and seeing everyone sh loved that died, like Lexi. And then walking out and see Derek standing right in front of her and the she puts her head on his and they walk out together!!!!!!
