I visit at least once when I visit there I try to get back on memorial day at least every other year I had to leave for work when I was 18 years old back in 92 most of my family past or moved to other states now
My mom was raised in Logan. We used to come there to see the Browns and McKenzie family. They where on the mountain across from the the hospital. 17 years we went. Have not been back since
Really enjoyed this. I was hoping that you would have went to Hedgeview aka Mud Fork. That's where I was raised. You were almost there. Glad to see that you went to Monaville, where my grandparents lived. This is the best Logan West Virginia video I've seen. My brother and I watched the whole thing. Thanks!
Agreed. Born and raised there, Logan High class of 1988. Moved to Huntington in 1992, and left West Virginia for Philadelphia in 2013. I haven't been down to Logan itself since at least 2011 or so, and it just got more and more depressing every time I saw it. A shadow of its former self from even my day, let alone when you knew it.
Sorry you stopped in Barnabus. The church you stopped at was a company store. I lived in Omar across from the old school. Post office now. Colane office was across us119, now wv44. All the empty places in the rows of houses contained housing when I was a kid. I suspect they burned down. I think Shaheens burned as well. Thanks for the memories
Ethel/Stratton Street/peach creek/Aracoma/Monaville.. Logan in the 70s & 80s..was a Wonderful time.... cruising the island thru downtown past Morrisons to pizza hut...back down the boulevard.. Over to Franks ... LoL .....
The first date that my “wife” and I had together is on this video. The last “date” we had together is also on this video. I put wife in parentheses because we are no longer married😥 She still lives in Logan County. I do not and I really miss it and her. 😐
Thank you for making this video. I haven't been back home in 35 years. This makes me miss my mountains and family long gone.
I can watch these videos all day long love Logan
Morrison’s loved that place
Love the pineapple milk shakes and burgers!

You may know my dad's family. He was born in '44 and they left Logan in the late 60's/early 70's.
Sad but it's still very beautiful

Mudfork
It would be nice if you talked a little bit about the place instead of just driving around and playing music.
