@Watson Esteban Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Bought a pair of these for Tennis, the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, the full length zoom is just amazing! It’s just they are extremely narrow in the toebox. Btw, these are part of the 30th anniversary Agassi collection
Hey Guys! Today Chris fills you in on a little secret. The best outdoor basketball shoes aren't usually labeled as basketball shoes -- and that's okay. We take a look and breakdown the performance of the Nike Court Air Zoom GP Turbo and the reasons why it's one of the best outdoor basketball shoes available in 2020. What do you suggest is a great outdoor option that might not be labeled an actual basketball shoe? Let us know below and we'll catch you on the next one!
I go these and after a week in playing in them I can say: outdoor traction is solid, lockdown solid, cushion solid, it’s very rigid, I went up half a size because of wide feet, overall number 1 outdoor basketball shoe if it last more than 6 months, remind to come back in 6 months to tell y’all about duration Edit: I’m officially calling it quits for the shoes, best shoe for outdoors; I play in them 2-3 hours outside everyday, and it lasted me almost 5 months, so I would 100% recommend these
When I saw the teardown done by The Tennis Pro Doc on these, I honestly couldn't stop comparing the cushion setup with the KD12, and knowing how durable the outsole of tennis shoes were, I couldn't stop wondering how these would hold up as hoop shoes tbh. Thanks for confirming what I've been thinking is the case! Now I have more reason to grab a pair of these as I can use it for both sports.
Hey Chris i am glad you mentioned this, i remember back in the day around 96 my dad had no idea about basketball shoes, so he decided to get me a pair and surprice me he went to the store and he got me a pair of andre agassi zoom air challenge i was mad furious but boy i was so wrong as soon as i put them on the best hoop shoe hands down i have ever had till these day by far, friends in the park making fun of me but they were mad confortable, and light.
A unique RUclips channel.. you’ve got really deep and technical references... and it seems you do play as good as you talk .... you’ve got a really composed explanation for most of the reviews. Really liked the channel
Tennis Pro Doc had teardown of the this shoe & there are few features not mentioned by Nike: 1) It has double stack air. It has full length air stroble on top of the full length Zoom. It's a low pressure single chamber bag & not immediately apparent like the PG4 2) It has a full length plastic propulsion plate that provides stability & responsiveness. Runs narrow. Up half a size but it will still be snug-ish.
Good to know I'm not the only one who hoops on tennis shoes! I'm using Adidas classic court shoes though, so they look more like casual sneakers. The outsole grips and squeaks just like regular hoop shoes and it lasts longer too. The one reviewed here looks so much more comfortable because classic style court shoes play like Vans.
Thank you for always educating us!!! Unlike most RUclipsrs, you clearly don't do this for the clout, endorsements etc but you do it simply because you want to pass the knowledge and love for sneakers!!! Proud supporter for almost 8 years now I think hahaha love what you do, NW!
Also in reference to Tennis shoes Asics makes some great ones like the Court FF 2 has great lock in the shoe, and the Gel Resolution 8 is a good choice if you want something a little faster.
I hoop and play tennis with my Asics Court FF2 :) So stable side to side and cushion is good too. Built for hard courts. The only downside is the limited colorways to be honest 😉
I bought one of these for €80.. they were reduced by €70. Awesome cushioning.. makes you think about why not other basketball shoes have full length cushioning. grip is awesome for outdoor courts, thank you Chris!
I had a feeling it was these when you hinted at something unexpected! I've been following tennis and was thinking "huh, those would be great for outdoor ball!" Naomi Osaka rocks a nice PE of these 🔥
i like this review. ive always felt that when balling outdoors.among my fav shoe was a federer nike zoom vapor. it's a tennis shoe but it was so good on the court. so when you chose this nike tennis shoe. totally agree! stay safe and thanks for all the reviews.
90's nike tennis where some of the best outdoor shoes I ever owned and I owned a few. NIke Air Alarm, Air Challange WP and Air Flare where awesome......Hands down best outdoor basketball shoes ever.....
Great fake out on the preview pic....I saw the old Skool nike Basketball logo and was like whaaaaaaa!!!! Loved the video....I love my Nike Court Air Zoom Zero especially for the full length zoom and the durability. Great pro tip for outdoor basketball use. Plus John Stockton was the poster boy for wearing Nike Tennis shoes on court in the NBA! 👍🏽💯🤓🔥
I'll add to Chris's very insightful video. While growing up a huge MJ fan (being 44, my teenage years had the best sneakers at the time compared to today) I also played tennis since I was 13. Always wore Agassi's shoes. A lot of talk about Stockton and Payton. For the record, Stockton wore the Zoom Challenge 1 in the white/grey colorway. This was the shoe with Agassi's "A" logo on the carbon fiber style heel counter. It was the same shoe Agassi wore in the Olympics at Stone Mountain in Atlanta '96. Payton wore the Air Alarm in the white/green color. That shoe was awesome as well and it's famous mark was the puffy tongue. I wore both while playing tennis and they were equally great. And yes, this is the Agassi color way as Nike released Challenge Court for the 30th anniversary of his '90 finals appearance. These sold very well to us tennis player. And yes the do fun really narrow with a low toe box.
Crazy, I've always thought that about tennis court shoes. I have been encouraging my son to consider something like that because he likes lows mainly and wants stability. I thoroughly enjoy your channel and reviews bruh. The funny banter with you and wifey, hilarious! Keep up the great work and much hope for continued success for the future.
Game changer! I never thought about looking outside bball shoes for outside. Nightwing breaking down knowledge. Much appreciated as I hate eating up shoes on concrete.
Somehow I knew it was a tennis shoe. So funny because I’ve been looking at tennis shoes as of late just for research and seeing how they’re made is great. Remember when Agassi described wanting a shoe that felt like a basketball shoe? Cool stuff sir
We need more of these please. I’ve had the idea of tennis shoes as hoopers but hadn’t had the chance to buy. THIS THO? This confirms my suspicions. ALSO, this greatly expands our choices as for brands such as Asics and more New Balance
First to like and first to comment. Thats more than enough with me. :) on a side note, keep slaying bro! Ever since i was in high school you were the biggest influence to me becoming a sneakerhead. And your reviews and opinions are unbiased and is considerate of all whether it be preference, shoe size and the like. Hope to see more of your videos, more of content and more success. Much love and respect coming from the Philippines. Keep safe out there! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Back in the early 90s, for outdoor basketball, I used to wear low cut Nike tennis shoes for like the Nike Air Challenge Pro Low because they didn’t restrict ankle movement.
I also wear my tennis shoes to hoop outside. Always just seemed to make sense. Shoes designed for a high level of lateral support and stability with an outsole and cushion specific for abrasive and unforgiving court surfaces.
Hey got these shoes thanks so much for the tip haven’t looked back :) they’re the bomb thought I would roll my ankle cause of the low cut but no problem there . Much love from Ireland
I've been saying this! Tennis shoes are similarly designed to basketball shoes in terms of their basic tech! You just pay significantly less for A1 tech such as that full length zoom that isn't designed for an NBA player shoe line lol.
Thanks for the review of this shoe! Just picked up a pair and the full length zoom is good stuff! Going to be super comfy once the shoe breaks in a bit.
Nandan Raghavan New Balance too. They make 2E and 4E in pretty much every model. The FreshFoam Lav would prolly be a decent hoops shoe. ASICS another brand to consider, though some models run narrower.
A lot of performance tennis shoes actually have a 6 month durability warrantee, so if you legitimately wear through the outsole in 6 months, you get it replaced for free.
Buying. Thank you for shouting out wide footers. Helps a lot. Edit: welp. never mind. I think your video sent everyone to that colorway cause it’s the only one with no sizes left.
This review might not get as many likes and views for exclusives guys but this gives me hope that there are great shoes out there that don't have to be expensive and an athlete attached to them in order to perform well.
These are actually very appealing to me. Not wearing any of my Kobe’s or clean hoop shoes for an outdoor workout, and my burners are falling apart. senior season of eligibility still up in the air 🤞🏻
Tennis shoes can be great. Used to use Agassi's Air Tech Challenge 2s for outdoor play. It was midget and the outsole rubber was very durable. Lasted me over a year in both basketball and tennis use.
Finally, a Pickleball shoe. No wait. They run narrow. Damn! :( Thank you very much for the review. Always great. And. Your video editor does a great job putting in those little clips.
Nicee, pls do more tops and reviews of outdoor basketball shoes. In some countries like mine (Ecuador), there really isn´t any hardwood floors where we can hoop, so its outdoor 24/7

Totally works I’ve gone to go play tennis and ended up hooping right after and played in my tennis shoes and actually would use them a lot to hoop in outdoors
Thank you man, i was looking for a shoe that is durable to hoop in. And a shoe i can also wear casually, i didn't want the traditional basketball looking shoe to wear everywhere i go.
What basketball shoe do you recommend for people with wider feet. I was using Kyries but I had to switch shoes as they gave me blisters and calluses on my big toes even after going up a in size. I just got Lebron Witness 4s to try out but any other recommendations?
I know they are a tennis shoe but they seem comparable to the price of the and1 attack 2.0. Would you go with the and1 over these? Since for the most part they seem to offer comparable specs for outdoor play as well.
I once made it the other way round: taking rather stiff (that’s not what she said😉) Nike KD 5 Elite to play tennis instead of basketball - they performed brilliantly on court!
