Hey Guys! Today Chris fills you in on a little secret. The best outdoor basketball shoes aren't usually labeled as basketball shoes -- and that's okay. We take a look and breakdown the performance of the Nike Court Air Zoom GP Turbo and the reasons why it's one of the best outdoor basketball shoes available in 2020. What do you suggest is a great outdoor option that might not be labeled an actual basketball shoe? Let us know below and we'll catch you on the next one!

I go these and after a week in playing in them I can say: outdoor traction is solid, lockdown solid, cushion solid, it’s very rigid, I went up half a size because of wide feet, overall number 1 outdoor basketball shoe if it last more than 6 months, remind to come back in 6 months to tell y’all about duration
Edit: I’m officially calling it quits for the shoes, best shoe for outdoors; I play in them 2-3 hours outside everyday, and it lasted me almost 5 months, so I would 100% recommend these

When I saw the teardown done by The Tennis Pro Doc on these, I honestly couldn't stop comparing the cushion setup with the KD12, and knowing how durable the outsole of tennis shoes were, I couldn't stop wondering how these would hold up as hoop shoes tbh.
Thanks for confirming what I've been thinking is the case! Now I have more reason to grab a pair of these as I can use it for both sports.

Tennis Pro Doc had teardown of the this shoe & there are few features not mentioned by Nike:
    1) It has double stack air. It has full length air stroble on top of the full length Zoom. It's a low pressure single chamber bag & not immediately apparent like the PG4
    2) It has a full length plastic propulsion plate that provides stability & responsiveness.
Runs narrow. Up half a size but it will still be snug-ish.

Good to know I'm not the only one who hoops on tennis shoes! I'm using Adidas classic court shoes though, so they look more like casual sneakers. The outsole grips and squeaks just like regular hoop shoes and it lasts longer too. The one reviewed here looks so much more comfortable because classic style court shoes play like Vans.

I'll add to Chris's very insightful video. While growing up a huge MJ fan (being 44, my teenage years had the best sneakers at the time compared to today) I also played tennis since I was 13. Always wore Agassi's shoes. A lot of talk about Stockton and Payton. For the record, Stockton wore the Zoom Challenge 1 in the white/grey colorway. This was the shoe with Agassi's "A" logo on the carbon fiber style heel counter. It was the same shoe Agassi wore in the Olympics at Stone Mountain in Atlanta '96. Payton wore the Air Alarm in the white/green color. That shoe was awesome as well and it's famous mark was the puffy tongue. I wore both while playing tennis and they were equally great. And yes, this is the Agassi color way as Nike released Challenge Court for the 30th anniversary of his '90 finals appearance. These sold very well to us tennis player. And yes the do fun really narrow with a low toe box.

I once made it the other way round: taking rather stiff (that’s not what she said😉) Nike KD 5 Elite to play tennis instead of basketball - they performed brilliantly on court!

I use my pg 4 for tennis, and it works perfectly fine. I am not worried with the outsole since mine is XDR.

Thinking of buying a pair for my fencing practice. The outsole reminds me of some old Nike battleground serious like 20-5-5

I wear Kyrie Low 2 size 10.5 and Kobe Mamba Focus size 11. Which size for me of this shoes? I'm wide feet.
