Found this video like 6 years ago. Still fascinates me.
Hey it's me again! :D
Still a suck tutorial
uitar tone is fantastic! It reminds me of Trivium, especially the instrument demo in this video. Hopefully Trivium's next album goes back to this style of metal. This instrumental reminded me of something that Trivium could create on their next album. The drums were the best highlight of this video!
The tightness on that tone is just bloody insane.
You guys are unbelievably talented.
Dude thats my exact story about how i learned to play guitar too you sound amazing great job keep it up!
I have never had any formal guitar training. When I first started I had a beginner DVD that I followed, but after a short while I just began learning Metallica songs. I actually learned most of what I know through RUclips. My advice would be to pick songs that you like and learn them. I guarantee that there will be videos on how to play whatever songs you choose here on RUclips. There isn't a magic bullet solution. Just sit down and play...everyday.

@LimitlessStudios i love it haha in my band my guitarist and I both use 5150s and during shows we always get people who love the sound of it.
thats exactly how i learned to play. i've been playing for 4 years and i only had lessons from this place full of old people. i got so good there was nothing left for them to teach me... so i ended up teaching them stuff! now, i just play 5 hours a day and get better and better
Flawless playing, I can bet that the guitar has a perfect setup.
certain sections sound avenged sevenfold-ish, like unholy confessions
@yatindimebag We're trying to get more amps for review, however, we can't afford to buy them, and so far Orange is the only company who has been willing to loan us amps free of charge. We'll try to do more Orange reviews in the future, and of course there will be a review of this 6505 in the future as well.
Liked and added to my favorites. Well done. I usually listen to Thrash. But this has real feel and emotion to it. Respect. Thank you.
I just bought a 6505 + 112 combo! woooo!!!
@infectiousfiles Thanks! MIDI drums can actually sound extremely realistic if you manually humanize them by analyzing how a drummer hit's the drums while playing, and using that to adjust the velocities of the MIDI notes. We don't this for our videos because it's very time consuming to do.
@LimitlessStudios Ha thats funny, i also only have one guitar that doesn't have EMG's in it. My Fender Tele John 5 project. Great minds must think alike. Got to also say i enjoy your guys videos, they are very helpful. I have to save up some more money to complete my studio setup but it is getting there.
Dam I didn't know all old school Swedish bands used the same exact one melody through all their songs. That's awesome dude.
Sick! Impressed with the Epiphone to! Keep it up!
Great playing
That was sweet. Nice sound and very awesome technique.
@metallicat511 Thanks! We're glad you liked it.
Notice the louisville shirt...UK will stomp them on come Saturday lol. I just bought the peavey 6505+ and I'm in heaven!
Reminds me of All That Remains.
***** actually now they're using the EVH 5150 III
+Justin Lee heard they are using laneys now
+Justin Lee reminds me of every metalcore band ever
Justin Lee they use 5150 3 now.
@OndskapensHersker Thanks! We're glad people seem to enjoy this video. We'll try to make amp demos of the amps we receive for review, however, we don't have access to a lot of amps, and can't afford to buy them. So far the only company that has been willing to loan us amps to review free of charge is Orange which we'll be doing more reviews for in the future. We're also planning to do a behind the scenes video for our future amp reviews so that'll probably include some of the mixing process.
Great demo song!!! I like the setup you have, although I wish this wouldve been 6505 gain demonstrated instead of a pedal
Same thing i did to my epiphone LP Custom, take off pickguard and drop in some EMG's. nice.
@acompres No, the drums are Steven Slate. I can release the preset but there's so much processing going on inside the Pro Tools session it wouldn't be much use.
great technique in your right hand
@WarMachineBand1 It's one of the most popular metal amps, and rightfully so. They're very affordable too when purchased used.
sweet song/tones man!
@livepunx 6505 settings are in the picture at the beginning of the video. TS7 settings were our usual (drive: 9 o'clock, tone: 12 o'clock, level: 12 o'clock).
Excellent tune man.
Holy shit!! You nailed the Trivium In waves album tone!!!!!
Very Well My Friend!!
Great playing and what a tone!!! However, you coulda been even more helpful to us if you said something about the gear you used, how you hooked up things, and how you adjusted the amp to get that sound.
@TheBoucherC There's nothing special that we do to get these tones. The gear we used is listed in the description, and the settings are in the pictures at the beginning of the video. Other than that it's just tightly played double tracks panned L and R, and a bit of mic position adjustment. We also surround the cab with homemade bass traps which eliminates room noise. The cab itself and speaker choice is a huge factor in the sound as well. We recommend a cab with V30's for metal.
Fuck yes! Digging that on my morning drive! Worked out some lyrics too!
VERY Waking The Fallen sounding I just love it!
THIS is what in my country we usually call DEFINITION
great video!
make more amp Demos.
and show off how you mix the song would be a great addition to your channel!
Nice tone man, I'm surely getting this amp asap
@LimitlessStudios Me too, pretty sweet, But they need a little bit harmonic exitement sometimes.
funny how a pup swap and a good amp can make a low to mid range guitar sound great
Yeah if the guitars came up more and had more presence it would sound sweet. Mix is lacking low end but the clarity is great guys.
Awesome Heavy Metal! Cool sound!
Nice tone dude!!
@Mthrdcore Yep, Slate drums. Our favorite drum samples.
fantastic video, playing, and song man!!! basically Matt Heafy's set-up...sounds killer. i scream and sing if you ever need a vocalist lol
awesome tone..
good stuff guys more vids
Amazing job dude, sounds fuckin great !!!!!!!!
kick ass right hand!!!
cool man, nicely done!
Hi guys i saw your stiletto cab review would you please beable to make a sound video through your amp into it with cleans and your dirty channels with different mic positions please , i personnally think it would be quite benifitial for myself but also other musicains looking to upgrade there gear. Thank you so much guys :)
sounds a lot like Trivium nice work man!
Nice!
@j1mbafr0sty Thanks! We have lot's of videos planned. We just have to get to work on them.
awesome video :)
What a Beautiful Sound!! /,,/
needs more bass and less dampening. other than that it's a really clear and defined metal tone!
how is it your tone is the same even after switching from neck to bridge pick up???
it rocks
@DraXgonProductions Yep, they have a pretty unique palm muted sound.
great shit man \m/
mic positions please and where do you get this widness?
@Hallman88 Yep, Les Paul's look better without the pickguard in our opinion. Also, the pickups that come in the Epiphone Les Pauls, and even newer Gibson Les Paul Standards are pretty poor so they need to be swapped. EMG's happen to be our favorite. I only have one guitar that doesn't have EMG's in it, and that's my Fender Strat.
The drums are all Steven Slate Drums 3, other than the china cymbal at 0.38 - 0.48. That is a Wuhan china sample that we made.
@AliMarshallTLL Found out about your band through your post on The Soulless wall, you guys are awesome :D
Awesome tone man!!! I have a 6505+ but i don't have a TS9, do you think the TS9 makes it sound a lot better?? Or is it just a subtle difference for you?
sounds killer man \m/ great job
i can proudly say i traded my 6505 for a marshall jcm2000 tsl100 two days ago.
@Stephh211 There is bass in this video.
nice guitar!!
It's in the description
This sounds like an I Killed The Prom Queen song!!
such a 'Black Veil Brides' riff at 0:21
Good demo, and nice guitar soundWhat is the drum plugin ?
very kool .What drums is that? Is that steven slate drums? I recently got Steven slate drums just figguring out how it works. The drums you are using in this video are very nice which ones is that exactly?
kinda reminds of Trivium. cool song.
@evopsomopso We've tried to contact Bugera about loaning a 6262 for use to review, but they never returned our email's. However, you can buy a used 6505/5150 for the same price (sometimes cheaper) than a new Bugera, and from the sound clips we've heard the 6505/5150 always has sounded better to us.
oh my god i love the song that your playing did you make it yourself?
post some tabs dude that was awesome
Hey guys..can u please do a demo on Randall RG75D G3 plus combo. I got the amp but I want u guys to show how to use it the best possible way. Cheers..
@max8591 I did sames test. Except 6505+ as a combo. Bunch comes to play. What tubes are in the amp, how much skill's you have and what speakers did u play through. I have peavey 5150 combo and still the 6505+ head wins in my book. I have two vintage 30's in there
you have the set up i really want =P sept the guitar. i want an ibanez
holy poop that setup rips! sounds amazing are you running anything else through that setup?
Alright Attack Attack! Calm down lol. Jk lol. Awesome vid and awesome playing, man!!
The gain on these things is ridiculous. Past 5 is pretty much unusable. If you have hot pickups (like EMGs), then 2-3 is about right for a 6505. I need to pick up another one of these. I bought a used one that ended up having some major noise issues. A re-tube didn't seem to help so I took it to a tech, and he couldn't figure out the problem. I've heard they're noisy anyway, but I have a Splawn Quick Rod and had a Mesa DR in the past. Those are dead silent in comparison.
Are you from Louisville ky? Because i am 😃 great demo as well
Lukily Orange kick major ass!
@ghost500e Keep in mind that this was our first ever recording done with this amp.
@hbk123 The signal chain is in the description below the video. Other than a Tubescreamer to boost the amp there is nothing else connected.
Is the ENGL Fireball 100 more Brutal than the Peavey 6505+? I'd have to use my attenuator in the house though. LOL Maybe a Orange Dark Terror might just do :-)
Nice playing man, maybe you'll be as good as the rest of us one day ;) haha. Is this an original song or cover?
@gtrjoe68 Tuning is C#.
It's one of the user's own songs.
g0od demonstration!
great tone... can ask you, have you done bias on 6505? Is this necesary?
could you make a lesson video to play this style
my band recorded the guitars for our latest single with a peavey 6505! check it out by searching "The Last Legion - Niagara"
is it weird that my front is see through? see yours is all black with the peavey logo. mine is see through plastic. are mine and yours one in the same or is yours different than mine?
