Hey dude! Great videos. I could watch these build videos for days. It’s funny how everyone always thinks “oh I should’ve done this” Hindsight is 2020. I just built one also, and didn’t really use any template. Just let it rip! I think it’s a lot more fun that way, and leads to some unique ideas!
The song and video at the end was so 🔥 fire! The whole video was soothing and chill with lots of info, then the SONG...Man, wasn't expecting that, but glad i watched and experienced it,super catchy, funny, and sonically awesome!❤
im not going to lie, it sounds like cold wet garbage. but with a guitarist or a saxophonist on a street corner it will come alive, thats usually where these suitcase kits really shine
I used first act drum kit. Literally got it for like 30 usd or something. With this kind of drum kit, the shell and wood don't matter because the shells will be so shallow that you lose all character anyway that wood would contribute.
Greetings from K-Zoo ,couldn't help but notice all the Mi stickers including the Bell's Brewery bumper sticker . I'm making one of these today .I'm going to use a tom to mount a head for the bass, I took the legs off a cheeeep hi-hat stand so it will mount to the side .I did go with a 10" snare that will be mounted ,I'm cutting down another tom for the floor that will mount ,and have one leg .Last, one mounted L arm for a cymbal ,and for the big finish 6" & 8" roto toms mounted to the top ! the only thing that doesn't go inside the case is the throne .
Well, if you already have a sacrificial drum kit and suitcase, probably would be like maybe 100-200 dollars in labor, depending on how much you want cut or wrapped. Honestly you can do this yourself very easily, it is just a little time consuming.

Thanks, I'm so happy you liked it!
This was nice to watch. Currently learning to play the drums myself without having a kit though, this def gave me some ideas. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it!

Very cool project
Thanks so much!
Exactly what I needed to make sense of making a kit - thank you! I'd really like to know the exact drum kit you found suitable for this project?
