After some more testing with the pendulum demo it seems the best adaptive-sync range for this monitor actually begins at around 44(not 42 as stated in the video). In the low 40s there are issues...
Thank you sir for the useful information, I would like to ask two questions, 1.What do you think of the hdr feature in it, Does it good or bad? Because I've heard some people complain about and say it's not real hdr because it says on box hdr ready which may indicate that it's not fully supported! 2.What's the first game you showed?, Was it Crackdown 3? Thanks..
@Vito Roagy You're welcome. It's supported in that you can check all the boxes in Xbox One X/PS4 Pro settings but the hdr on this monitor doesn't look much different from the standard modes. and you can't use it with display port, and you can't use it when free-sync is enabled. As far as I know only certain, much more expensive PC monitors produce nice HDR visuals. yes, that was crackdown 3.
so should i turn on my vsync in game or not? ive adjusted the settings in nvidia control panel and enabled gsync, running rtx 3080 on this same display to play assasins creed odyssey. not sure either should i turn on vsync or not. please advice me
How would you compare this monitor to the LG27uk650? The LG has an HDR Effect mode which really looks awesome although its a software fix. Is there anything similar in this acer monitor too? Or some software we can use to emulate hdr effect like the LG monitor.
I've never used the LG27UK650. I'm not aware of any software solutions for this monitor. The HDR on this monitor looks similar to SDR. However in some games some colors do appear different, but it's nothing like a high end HDR display.
Can you share the color and display settings you're using. Had this monitor for a while and can't seem to find a sweet spot for both everyday productivity and gaming :). Thanks!
@@stubakka6437 HDR will work over HDMI but for FreeSync/G-Sync you'll need to use DisplayPort which removes the HDR feature. I wouldn't worry about HDR for this monitor ...

the presets are good enough for my usage.
Can you enable HDR through displayport on this monitor ?
no, the option is not available when using DisplayPort on this monitor.
Superior 85 would it be if you used HDMI? And still have this Gsync option
