    Why do most houses on the island have no garages

      Good question! Some of it has to do with the high cost of construction… So sometimes you’ll see carports. The other thought is that a lot of people don’t have fancy cars here… They just have an island beater car and don’t care about protecting it from the sun and weather.

      For an island that gets hit with hurricanes you would think building a garage would be a must have. plus the house is right across the street from a boating Marina, I also noticed the house is not gated around especially on that side, so what happens when there's a hurricane ARE all those boats going to end up floating in the yard? There is plenty of land space to build a 2 car garage, so they need to come down on the price. Im not a big fan of all that woodwork inside the house.
