this song hits home alot
before i found a friend group within the matchbox and beyond, i used to get the life sucked out of me because i was just slowly wasting my life away watching mindless content, i know that isnt the meaning of the song
but even when i did find people to talk to
i was still using up so much time on others, i only now realize that i have never given myself a second to think about what i want to do and who i really am in 2020
and in 2021 it got worse, i started staying up late on purpose so i could always be updated on the advice channel, plus another server im a part so i could always be there to lend someone an ear when they need it
i cant remember how many hours of sleep i lost because of the countless platonic and romantic relationships ive tried to be there for
im not saying i dont wish i never helped anybody, but im still disappointed in myself for not giving myself air to breathe
im happy that im taking a break now, this "saviour complex" i developed online has gotten really bad to the point where the only thing i look forward to waking up is to write a pep-talk for someone
back then, i would've been proud of myself for that
but im glad that im not anymore
