Sister location has the scariest ending just imagine getting your organs ripped out and having a sharp wire amalgamation treat you like a suit until you rot
I honestly think that version of night 5 is cooler than the one the video is about. The fact that you've been avoiding Ballora on your way to the scooping room, with all the unsettling noises as you walk through what I can only assume is the entrails of the dead maintenance workers. And then when you finally get to the scooping room, your greeted by the sight of all the animatronics in pieces, including Ballora. Now you're wondering, who the hell was I avoiding. And then it's all tied up nicely with the line that Circus Baby has already been scooped. It's pure horror. Plus the actual mini game of the normal night is relatively easy so that you're unlikely to get jumpscared because it would not only ruin the twist, but because the relative ease of the night compared to the rest is in itself unsettling, as no night 5 has ever been easy in the previous games. It's just so well crafted.
I always found it excruciatingly evil and tragic that Baby uses Michael's sisters voice to try and manipulate him to open the door. Imagine hearing your long dead sister's voice, begging you to open the door so she can see you, but her voice is coming from a horrifying tangled misshapen monster with a blank expression crawling through the vent systems. That truly is the most chilling and terrifying thing in FNaF. Not to mention evil on Baby's part
I like how Ennard uses Elisabeth’s voice to get Michael to let Ennard in. The phrases “I don’t understand” and “I know it was an accident” is most likely used in the way that it is because Ennard don’t realize that the guard isn’t William.
@@0rangeeige199 what? Where? I always thought she just wanted to use the player to escape by trying to get him to trust her. Him just getting killed instead of scooped would ruin her plan but the other animatronics were much more volatile to achieve something like that
I always found Ennard’s mask interesting, it’s weird that Ennard only wore it for a single night before wearing Michael’s skin, I personally think that since the mask is obviously modelled after a clown, they felt that wearing it gave them the feeling of being more human which really shows how much they want to escape and makes their eventual melding into the hivemind that is The Blob all the more tragic
Plus, even if we’re sticking with Ballora, that one exoskeleton wouldn’t handle 4 different animatronics inside it, so they couldn’t all escape together
I have a theory that that’s a Funtime puppet mask but William didn’t finish the rest of the animatronic because circus baby’s pizza world closed on day 1
Ennard had a clown mask because baby was in control and resembles a clown. When she is kicked out from Ennard Funtime Freddy takes over and Ennard now looks like a Freddy
"It seems that you have accidentally wandered into a restricted area. Due to the sensitive nature of the materials that you may be exposed to here, you will not be allowed to leave until the clean-up crew arrives at 6 AM, so hang tight. Rest assured that you will be promptly rescued, fired, then sent home. Thank you for being an employee. We hope that your experience has not been as regrettable as ours."
You probably already knew this, but Ennard’s “face” is hanging over one of the doors earlier in the game, but as soon as Ennard is formed the mask is missing!
Ennard has always been one of the scariest animatronics for me. I feel like a major factor of what makes it so scary is the sound design. The squeaking of metal as it moves paired with Baby/Elizabeth voices just seems so unnatural. The metallic squeaking noises specifically just give off the vibe of 'NOTHING should be making that sound, mechanical or otherwise' A point that was brought up that I heard before was that Ennard is somewhat akin to a mechanical Skinwalker, the way it uses its voice mimicry to try and lure/kill people, so it can then disguise as them And the phrase "Circus Baby has already been here [the scooping room] today." REALLY conveys the feeling of 'Ennard isn't Circus Baby anymore... at least not entirely.'
Honestly, I can't find any of them scary anymore. But when I first played the games, probably nightmarionne for me. The idea that a robot can have tentacles is just, no
i dont think ennard isint creepy but personally i beleive that someone else that we might not know is in there using babys voice but it cant be funtime freddy since he had a hat when kicking baby out in the fnaf 6 gamefiles and it cant be ballora since her eyes are closed, its just funtime foxy wouldnt be controlling ennard as well i think maybe someones in there that we dont known of
In my opinion, Sister Location is the most unsettling entry in the series. The sudden futuristic tech, the somewhat sentient animatronics, the vibe of the rental facility, it all just feels like you're trapped in a dark, industrial cavern. Even the actual ending is so creepy and disturbing and could be seen as a twist on the whole getting stuffed into a suit idea. I am rather curious of your opinions on Security Breach as I feel like it could've taken some notes from Sister Location and really play up the horror of sentient robots.
What makes this even more sad is that Baby thought Michael was William and Elizabeths soul was probably mad at her father for creating Baby after realizing the truth. But after discovering it was actually Michael, she might have felt guilty. Michael even states that they thought he was his father. Thats probably why after ennard escaped into the sewers, Baby kept repeating "you wont die." Not only knowing that Michael wouldn't die because of the Remnant, but because she might have still wanted him to live. In Pizzeria Simulator, however, Elizabeth changed and became more twisted and wanted to take on the role that Circus Baby was created for. She was so mentally and emotionally broken, they all were. Michael was just trying to be a good brother and save at least one of his siblings, since he failed his brother.
yeah, I also think that maybe the whole "you won't die" thing correlates with her thinking that it was William because maybe she wanted him to endure the pain of the scooping room without dying? like how everyone just wants him to be tortured (ucn)
I dont think baby isnt being control by his sister anymore, or at lest she isnt herseft anymore because in fnaf ps, Henry did say " sorry to disturb you if you still remember that name"
I practically only got the game for how great the 5th night and custom stuff was. The ennard fight has solid gameplay and the theme always gives me chills
Personally SL has my absolute favorite atmosphere out of the main 6 games, it gives me a “peaking behind the curtain” vibe, like your in the belly of the beast, the closest of horrors where the abominations you’ve been fighting against came from. The cold, inhuman metallic architecture, the feeling of supposedly empty rooms that you can’t help but feel is holding something that’s watching you, and the surprising incomprehensible size of the facility your trapped in not to mention how uniquely terrifying the Funtime’s were at the time they were the first animatronics (minus Springton) that felt fully sentient, the way they’re 100% aware of who you are and are OUT FOR BLOOD. Just chills all around Honestly it’s a bit of a shame this ending wasn’t canon, it’s wicked as hell
I forgot how good this night actually was, the music, the atmosphere, ennard in general and the lore, the fact that baby is so desperate to literally use you as a skin suit is terrifying, I absolutely love the voice lines baby has on this night, it really shows how manipulative she is, showing her true intentions. She's seriously just creepy but I love it, this has to be one of the most well crafted nights in the entire Fnaf series and I hadn't realised that until you made this video.
@Disney Discussion Duo but she was the one doing everything from seeing controlling speaking so it was all her until thay rejected her after a argument of how bossy she is
The game is turning 6 years old this year and I still feel like Mark’s video of him beating the Golden Freddy mode in the custom night came out a few days ago
The music for the 5th night is called "Watch Your Six", which is a good way of saying to watch the clock. Although it also has a second meaning, which is a term used in military - watch your back. You turn around, just like Baby would expect, but not exactly - she didn't expect it to go wrong. Now you're the one turning your back.
One of my only problems with the night is that after dying to Ennard in the private room, you have to go through the entire section of going through funtime auditorium, listening to baby's speech, and doing the keypad thing which takes like at least 2 minutes. It's not a huge issue, but it makes it annoying to have to deal with that every time you die instead of the game placing you at entering the private room so you can do more attempts in less time.
@@justsomecatwithahoodie7447 thats true i didnt think of that lol it shortens the time a little bit but i would still prefer to start somewhere closer to being able to enter the private room skip doing the baby segment in general
the reveal that you were michael afton all along during this night not only recontextualized your motivations during this game, but the entire FRANCHISE up to that point. one of the biggest story complaints you’d always hear back in the day was that it made no sense for the player character to come back to the facilities in 1-3 after seeing their first animatronic move at night. after SL, we know that he knew exactly what he was getting into, and its just a fabulous way to resolve a plothole like that. this one night was a GAME CHANGER for the whole series.
Yeah Michael went under a diff name in 1 he was in the extra nights after Jeremy left in 2 he was in 3 as a night guard he killed his brother in 4 he was in 5 and 6 as night guards
@@an-animal-lover this was all a story of Michael stopping his dad and make things right after the events of 4. Mike Schmitt was Michael with a last name change (for reasons) in 1. Jeremy only did the week shift and left/got bit and the extra nights were the weekend shift which Michael was hired last minute or something like that in 2. He was in 3 and purposely set the place on fire to try and kill afton. This makes sense since you get the scene of him being alive after you complete custom night in sister location. It's not rlly confirmed but it's heavily implied Scott doesn't really like to confirm a lot of things since it was never going to be this big of a complex story he was gonna stop after fnaf 4. Michael is in every game after 4 except fnaf world and ultimate custom night because spinoff and aftons hell. He may be in security breach idk there's a theory going around that Michael's soul is in glamrock Freddy when Vanessa used him to find the fnaf 6 pizzeria and he died there but it isn't rlly confirmed. I don't believe in the Gregory being a robot or a robot crying child
@@GlitchyHalo that's not what I meant. Yes, there's some evidence for everything you mentioned, obviously, otherwise the theories wouldn't exist in the first place, but again, your comment said the reveal happened in Sister Location on Night 5. Nowhere does Sister Location state that Michael was the guard in the previous games
The only bad thing about this night is that if I remember correctly, every time you die you respawn before sending Baby to the scooping room which is very frustating and time consuming for no reason. Still, I think Scott should have make this the true ending, it's just more climatic and interesting
There comes a point where you get used to having to do everything again, honestly it is very very difficult to get through, mostly because of the exaggeratedly fast energy expenditure
i think pizzeria simulators ending should be the true one. you get all answers (most at least) revealed of every lost souls fate, and what really happens to william, in my opinion it is done so well. plus henry’s speech is probably one of the best speeches in video game history.
@@foxeye2264 nah, hearing william burn in UCN was satisfying. They shouldve went on with spinoffs and more indepth looks at the previous locations. The glitchtrap, afton virud bla bla thing and the books are just bullshit and i think scott just fucked up there
@@cryopex9976 Need us not forget SB's Afton ending. It pissed me off and I haven't been that invested in FNaF since 2018. If he really wanted to continue the story, Venessa/Vanny could've been the new villain trying to carry on William's legacy after being inspired by him. I think that would've made more sense. Then again, I don't think we should count SB as canon since it messed up in so many places story wise.
Love how when you first enter the room you see the cameras, the doors and there is no explanation needed. Its like scott was saying "we all know what you need to do, lets do this"
Gameplay: Good loop, and gets harder as it goes on. 5 points Story: Just amazing. 5 points Horror: I love the panic and tension brought into this night, and with how hard it gets, it's perfectly scary. 5 points Music: Sinister, dark, and ever so tense. 5 points Final Verdict: 20/20 points!
I love how Ennard says “We will find a way out” when the night ends and then when it gets to the “Michael watching TV” scene for the night, if you look all the way over to the right Ennard is standing there, watching you They really did find a way out
13:10 how did it take me this long to realise that Sister Location is not just a sister location to the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza branch, but also the literal location of the main character’s sister…….
I'm kinda sad you didn't mention the ending of that night after Ennard escapes from the facility and follows you home. Nonetheless I enjoyed watching this video.
SL's 5th nights brutal difficulty is what did it for me, i remember being at 1-2% at 5 am and finally winning after hours of attempts, truly something to behold
I think Sister Location's differences from the previous 4 games was what made it so good. It made it memorable and did really revive the series with a brand new, refreshing way to play the games, and with a touch of that original FNAF gameplay in Night 5 and the Custom Nights.
Hot take, but because of the 5th night alone (both endings) Sister Location was the scariest fnaf game to me, particularly ennard. When Ennard says “Circus Baby has already been here today” it made my stomach drop the first time hearing it, realizing that it wasn’t baby speaking, and also when she says that you can start to see Ennard on the other side of the glass which makes it even more terrifying. Then in the secret ending where Ennard starts using Elizabeth’s voice to try and manipulate the guard into letting them in, while being this terrifying disfigured amalgamation makes the whole experience even more terrifying knowing what they want to do to you.
The most stressful part about this 5th night to me is Baby’s lines. It perfectly encapsulates the fear and uncertainty of standing up to a manipulative person, hearing them try to continue manipulating you, then hearing them get more desperate and aggressive as they realize their manipulation no longer works, all the while uncovering the truth of who they really are. It haunts me on such a personal level.
I know this is late, but I agree. There's someone I used to be friends with who had bullied and manipulated me for years, and I stupidly let her do it because I was so incredibly naive and I wanted to be friends with her. When I eventually started calling her out on her lies, "desperate and aggressive" is the perfect way of describing how she reacted. She was a nice person in the early days of me knowing her, but over time, she developed into a mentally-ill, sociopathic bully with an unhealthy obsession with me. I'm of course no longer in communication with her, but I cut bridges with her far too late, and I was left effectively traumatized. Manipulative people are just the worst, because not only can their effects stay with their victims for a very long time (especially if said victims are extremely sensitive like me), but it really shows just how little humanity they have if they're so willing to actively trick other people for their own personal gain, to the point where they conjure up fabricated worlds of drama just to try and make their lies make sense. Which is exactly what this ex-friend had done with me.
@@camilorodriguez5602i literally stopped turning him on in ultimate custom night because of that. It wasn't funny it was annoying. It wasn't a funny joke that got old it started okd
Imagine your Ennard and your plan to get out of the facility fails. Imagine the absoulte panic you induce knowing that if you fail your plan B its over. No wonder he gets more agressive and constantly beging Michael to open the door.
13:50one thing of note about this line is that baby says "I will find a way out" Instead of " we will find a way out" which I think implies that she would sacrifice the other animatronics in order for her to escape.
SL was my expectation for SB so I was kinda disappointed when it didn’t turn out that way. (because I love SL so much because it’s so different from usual but still shares the same fnaf vibe.) Anyways, fnaf SL is definitely one of my favorite games, and so far your analysis has been very interesting! Okay I’m going to pay attention and watch the rest of the video 👍
@@leonardowashere789 I'd argue SL is better, SB Is really dragged down due to Linear Gameplay and the shitty "story" SL Is a better game in Story, and maybe not in gameplay because Minigame vs Free Roam? like really?? No Competition. But SL Is just so much more interesting, SB just kind of feels bland? I don't know how to describe it.
@@omodev a lot of the features just feel incomplete and rushed, like the burntrap bossfight, no buildup, no nothing, just "oh hey im back again" after being burned for the 50 millionth time and literally going to his own personal hell created by one of his victims. dont get me started on the shitty design of 6 am, you either get an ending or you keep walking around, but lose the ability to save, and due to SB being a buggy mess, that unsaved progress can very well be lost
@Melon Sauce that doesnt fix how poorly made the base game is. If anything id rather them not patch it because the crazy ass bugs are the most funs ive had with the game
For me SL still feels like the best one in terms of design, mainly Funtime Freddy, also since I'm a fan of AI characters I really liked FT Freddy and Baby having a personality and them being actual characters instead of being silent antagonists.
I never noticed the mechanics from the previous games during the battle, but it makes sense. Though, if there was any Fnaf 3 additions to it, I'd say it would just be Ennard's intelligence. Springtrap was quite literally one of the most intelligent and aggressive animatronics in the series. Though, Springtrap and Ennard are separate beasts. Springtrap is a blood-crazed beast, killing for fun/revenge. Ennard is a beast due to desperation, they kill to survive and to escape, which is similar to Springtrap but the motive for survival (at this point) is different. So, I'd say the FNAF 3 contribution is simply a battle with a beast that constantly takes tactics from Springtrap to attack swiftly and ruthlessly. A "weapon to surpass Metal Gear", in a sense. Edit: perhaps Watch Your Six could be another FNAF 3 addition/reference, giving the battle a creepy and sinister feeling much like the feeling in Fazbear Frights. Regardless, it's a great song to puts the point across of "clench your butt, kid. This'll be a hard duel".
I think Elizabeth took the most from her father as a whole. The similarities between Ennard, with her in main control, and Springtrap, plus her openly admitting she wants to make William proud before Henry decided enough was enough. It’s crazy when you realize and think on it.
@@TheonetruedogTheDog i wholeheartedly agree. Especially since it's unknown how long ago she was killed and how long she spent underground. As her plan wasn't thought of in 5 days, it must have been made longer, but they needed the right person/body to escape in.
I really agree with both of them being really intelligent, fnaf 3 cameras are insanely hard to navigate through because you lose so much time trying to figure out where Springtrap is, he just appears in really dark spots of each cameras and it makes it easy to lose sight of him tempting you to look at cameras even more
as much as I respect all points made in this video, I'm also a sucker for the way "circus baby has already been here today" just makes your stomach drop and your breath catch in your throat
In the part where Micheal says that “they” had thought it was William, and explains why At 4am Ennard uses Elizabeth’s Voice, and with the “I know it was an accident” could explain why the Funtime animatronics thought he was William Afton, even though this non canon, this really is spine chilling.
@@mr.monkey354Sister Location specifies that the alternative Night 5 is the "FAKE ENDING" in text at the end, though you have to brighten the screen considerably to see the text.
to me the alternative 5th night in sl gave the best "boss fight" vibe in the series, the music, the old mechanics, ennard using baby and elizabeth voice,it was perfect
@@0rangeeige199 lol yes that’s the actual reason. But I was just thinking it’s interesting it also ended up being the place of Baby, and by extension Elizabeth (based on the theory, of course). 😃
Ennard was one of the only times i’ve ever been scared of FNaF when I was younger, with the only other moment being the one phone guy in FNaF 1 talks about stuffing an endoskeletons inside you. Something about all those wires and different consciousness having to be stable and try to stay in the same body to do such a grotesque task & the manipulation you go through the entire game was very scary to me when it released.
Another thing like that that got me (though more recent) is the one minireenas book story about the security guard who kept seeing the minireenas each night, falling asleep and then they're gone. Throughout the story he slowly notices his limbs swelling, until one night LOADS of minireenas crawl out of him. The same kinda 'several robotic consciousnesses controlling and entering your body' thought.
Nice video, one small thing to point out though, You don’t really have a time window to close the door on Ennard. He gets a MO (movement opportunity) every few seconds, which gets shorter by the hour. These are: 12AM - 10 sec 1AM-3AM - 6 sec 4AM - 3 sec 5AM - 2 sec power outage - 0.5 sec So what actually happens is that when Ennard moves and arrives at the door, he has to wait for ANOTHER successful MO (50% of succeeding) to actually kill you. So theoretically he could stand at the door the entire night without ever killing you. Also, depending on how you play, the night isn't THAT tight on power, I've seen some people beat it with around 3-6% left, and I have been able to get a 15% remaining run aswell. The night is just one big gamble, it all depends on how much of a annoyance Ennard wants to be. That’s all I wanted to point out, great video by the way
Good point of reference for if I actually decided to play this :P. That's actually something very interesting about the original FNAF games after learning about it, the movement system is pretty much literally a tabletop game in real time.
I got to say man, I'm really loving the art on the thumbnails. They're what originally made me watch Why FNAF 3 is the best in the series, and I'm loving all the content on here. Great thumbnail and content, as always.
Tbh I adore your opinions and I totally agree with this too but my personal opinion my favorite 5th night from any fnaf game has to be 4 but I may be biased for liking fnaf 4 a lot… it’s also really nice to know that u like fnaf 3 just like me too I love it’s atmosphere it’s story it’s animatronics mechanics etc but yeah sorry I went off topic but I love ur vids
I feel like Sister Location and Security Breach have A LOT in common, as if SB is the spiritual successor to SL. Gameplay-wise, you don't have five traditional nights but instead each night (or hours in Security Breach) have their own mechanism with a specific character or animatronic being the focus of the section. There is free roam, although SL doesn't really have free roam, it only gives off that illusion since physically you can only move forward inside Funtime Auditorium and Ballora Gallery, but it certainly is an "experiment" in free roam, something SB fully embraced. In both games, the animatronics are eerily human, with the likes of Funtime Freddy or Roxanne Wolf having human emotion, in their voices or behavior. Circus Baby literally talks to you as if she was a human being with her own motives. She literally teaches you a lesson in Night 4, about "pretending" (foreshadowing Ennard) and what the Scooping Room is. Both games have the "classic FNAF" being thrown into the mix, with SL's Private Room (and Custom Night) and the security offices across SB's Pizzaplex with the exact same mechanics as classic FNAF. Both games are also story driven: SL follows Michael trying to find his sister again, and dealing with all the animatronics, and SB follows Gregory, trying to find a way to escape the Pizzaplex and dealing with all the animatronics. And finally both games are the only games that have a previous location in them: SL seems to have all FNAF 4 locations (minigames and actual gameplay) and SB has the FNAF 6 pizzeria underground. In both games those old locations don't seem to have any influence on the game they're in but they play an important role in their respective game's context: William Afton probably monitored the CC's room inside the Private Room, and was probably the mastermind behind most events in FNAF 4 using the Fredbear plushie, and the Mega Pizzaplex was intentionally built on top of the FNAF 6 location, where scraps were probably used for the newer animatronics, since Glitchtrap also comes from the FNAF 6 location and whose personality chip was reused later for the VR game, leading to the game being infected by Glitchtrap, who could then corrupt Jeremy and later Vanessa, turning her into Vanny. Perhaps the remains of Molten Freddy (before turning into the Blob) might have contained chips from the original Funtime Animatronics, who are, as a reminder, quite advanced and nearly "human". Those chips could have been used to create the personality chips that the Glamrocks have. You can say whatever you want about SB. Personally I love the game, and the fact that it's so similar to SL in many ways makes it even better for me. SB is probably a tribute to Sister Location, an entry that unarguably had a big impact on the franchise and changed the face of FNAF forever. I'd argue it's pretty much the "beating heart", the "Pokemon Black and White" of FNAF.
@Crot Red Like I said, even if fans clamored for a game, ultimately, its up to the investors and higher ups to release the game. Fans have no control over the production of a game (with exceptions, of course). The producers do.
I do believe saying that SB isn't a buggy mess would be a lie, but on the other hand it has a surprising amount of depth and a lot of soul has clearly been put into it. I wish we could play the game they intended to make with free roaming and a less scripted progression system, but it's not impossible to have fun with it in the state it's in
While listening to Baby's dialogues, i also noticed that there is a pattern, kinda. She doesn't understand what went wrong, then she tries to guilt trip us, saying that they need it, she get's angry and starts demanding it later in the night. At 4 am she uses emotional or psychological manipulation and that would be Elizabeth's voice, she tries to convince us that it's Elizabeth while it's not her. Yes, Elizabeth is controlling Baby, but it isn't Elizabeth anymore, it's CIrcus Baby. And this makes it kinda sad ngl.
to add onto ennards desperation, remember what happens at the end of the secret ending. you go home, watch your show, and as it finishes, ennard starts moving into view from the right. this ESPECIALLY shows how desperate they were bc they literally FOLLOWED YOU TO YOUR HOUSE so they could use you as a disguise whether you survived or not
Ohhh yessss I fully agree with all your points; Sister Location is my fav tbh. That's mostly because of how different all the nights are, how disturbing the story is and maybe because Ennard has become my favourite FNaF character by now. That might be because he's still kind of mysterious since we don'treally know how or why he came to be; afaik that's not established in any game. Fun fact: my 2nd fave is Ballora which might support that haha. It's just such a cool game imo On a different note: in my opinion, one of the most underrated characters is Old Man Consequences. Idk what you think abt him but seeing how he's appeared in multiple games (mainly FNAF World and UCN) and we still don't really know who he is, makes him really interesting
Because this i make my own canon about old man consequences 😂, he was child who die at middle ages in nordic, he die at his eldest sister hand (like what mikey do with his brother but this time she being forced after touch apple of eden).
Aaaa oml I’m glad I found someone who has the same opinions as me on this lmao Ennard is one of my favourite characters from the whole franchise basically just because of this portion of the game. He has such an interesting motivation that sets himself apart from all the other animatronics (who’s motivations can basically be summed up as “spirit angry” ig lol), and the fact that he seems to want it so badly makes him feel more like a character. That’s basically what you said in the video but I just wholeheartedly agree with every point you made. Also I feel obliged to add that Watch Your Six has become my go to song whilst doing homework… I dunno I guess I find it a bit peaceful sounding along with the disturbing feel lol.
I'd like to imagine all fnaf games that the security guard is just the same person with different names, at first he was an actual security guard bored with life... And then he started working at Freddy's pizza, after that. He or she just absolutely loves the thrill of near death experiences provided by the animatronics, whenever they "die" (in story) they just barely escape and laugh at themselves and instantly looks for another similar job. A little headcanon. I know it has many contradictions and problems to it but it's fun to imagine.
You're close. Based on context clues, it has been all but confirmed that the night guard for each game is Michael after the events of sister location, (excluding fnaf 4 and Ultimate Custom Night for obvious reasons). Mike Schmidt, Jeremy Fitzgerald and Fritz Smith are all aliases and he gets fired for tampering with the animatronics as Mike, while Jeremy and Fritz both sound exactly the same and seem to know exactly what the job is all about hence being able to canonically hold off 11 animatronics at once before Jeremy was let go of for the day shift, which Fritz worked for one day before being fired on the first day for tampering with the animatronics as well as for general odor. It used to be played off as sweat but generally you won't be fired for sweating a lot if you work entirely by yourself at night. The Michael's rotting yet alive body works better. Fnaf 3 keeps the night guard and ending date secret so you don't know when it takes place or who you're playing as, but the way Springtrap/William looks at the player through the cameras and glass of the hallway heavily suggests that he knows that it's his son and why he's there. Lastly, Pizzeria simulator seals the deal that it's Michael with Henry's final speech. Nobody else wanted the job and the animatronics that do hunt you have no reason to unless you by chance remind them of the man who murdered them. Any smarter soul would have throwed those rotting animatronics away, not unless they were planning to gather them anyway. " "And to you, my brave volunteer, who found this job listing, not intended for you. There was a way out planned for you, but I have a feeling thats not what you want. I have a feeling that, you're right where you want to be."
@@GarbageEmpire 3 months late, but i personally believe fnaf 4 is also michael afton, its heavily implied to be the crying child, but, given that michaels own survival book shows that he knows the existence of the nightmare animatronics, and the easter eggs suggesting the person is in a medical facility, i like to think michael is really the fnaf 4 protagonist during the survival segments. my reasoning? the crying child is scared of the animatronics, but at the same time, he loves them, the only one he truly seems to fear, is fredbear. he has plushies of every one except spring bonnie, suggesting he does like them, and his fredbear plush keeps him company (i like to think the fredbears speech is him hallucinating and trying to make himself feel better). Why would he have nightmares of all of them if fredbear is really the only one he's clearly scared of? Michael is clearly aware of the nightmare animatronics, due to him mentioning and even showing an image of nightmare fredbear via the survival logbook (believed to be owned by michael, which would make sense if he's the nightguard for pretty much every location), and nightmare fredbears jump scare seems to tie into the fact michael saw his brother get crushed by the springlock system (and was utterly shocked and terrified as a result) the crying child couldnt know they were in a hospital, due to a coma induced by the destruction of their frontal lobe, the child also wouldnt be able to hear their own heart rate monitor (night 5, childs death). Michael however, most certainly visited his younger brother constantly, and we know this because he tells his brother that he's sorry, just as the monitor flat lines. which suggests michael has seen the hospital room, and the pills and IV bag are handled by other people for the child to keep them alive. so, the way i see it, michael is the player during the survival nights, while crying child is the player during the events leading up to his death (im not sure if its been 100% absolutely confirmed, but im a firm believer that the fredbear incident is 1987's bite, during the summer, as mentioned during fnaf 2's calls, the 1983 thing never made sense to me since the only legitimate proof is the establishment date of fredbears, which just means thats when the company was founded. feel free to prove me wrong, but i find it difficult to believe, i also believe the crying child is golden freddy, seeing as fnaf 3 tries to give the kid the birthday he deserves, which was torn from him, and the mask in fnaf 3 is a lighter shade of freddy's mask, suggesting it may be gold in color)
This video perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the secret Ennard boss fight on Night 5 into words. The actual location of the night (the private security office room itself and the various camera rooms) fits so well with the music playing. Something about its aesthetics I just really love. And the music itself is just soooooo good, it really represents you going up against the fury and desperation of several mishappen robotic abominations possessed by children hunting you down to use you as a human flesh suit super well
YES! Sister location is by far one of the best games in the franchise, and the night 5 and custom night really sell that, I'm not gonna write a paragraph but I'll get my point across in one phrase: Watch your 6
as a sci-fi nerd, i love this games style, and how the animatronics replicate real muscles using micro tubes, eventually becoming a semi tangled mess as ennard, which likely is what also made it noisy when it moved, when normally they are silent except when they talk or play music
Love that I discovered your content I love to see a different perspective on the five nights at freddy's games and an in depth analysis of stuff like this which is kind of ignored I had no idea about the lines of Elizabeth's voice my mind was blown
Whenever SL dropped and I watched markiplier play this night, I actually went ahead and got this game and did everything I needed to do to get to this fight and, using Mark's own technique, I beat it first try. I've never touched a custom night or much of the main series prior but this is definitely my favorite and is definitely the biggest reason I stuck around till now.
I really love when creators decide to make something VERY different from their previous work while incorporating the various things that they like/that worked well in previous entries. Sister Location js an example of taking a big departure from a game franchise and having that risk pay off VERY well! And even though I think SB doesn't work nearly as well as SL with what it changed, I still appreciate both games for trying something so different.
The ending was taken seriously too for the ennard night as they said "We will find a way out" Which they did, you just sitting there eating butter when suddenly they just start slowly coming into view, knowing there is nothing you can really do expect wait
Another banger video, good work! I just defeated Ennard for the first time last night and I can't believe this part of the game isn't talked about more. Thanks for putting into perspective just how good this is with your brilliant writing :)
I love Sister Location for the reveal of a sapient animatronic, only to throw Ennard in our faces and prove that the animatronics are more than just confused, misguided ghosts in the machine; they have the capacity to be *_complete monsters._*
I'll never forget the chills I got the first time I ever played this. The music, the sense you've messed up, the dialogue from handunit. gahhhhh it was the best
16:27 ‘-I feel like this video’s dragging on quite a bit now’ man, I could listen to you rant about your favorite nights/horror games for hours! Genuinely, you seem so passionate in this video- it’s the first one I’ve watched and after I checked out your channel I’m definitely subbing. Just listening to your voice while I draw BATIM characters, I can tell you’re super passionate about this and it’s just neat to hear that in a horror game review:)
Also another thing you can see about Ennard’s desperation is that Ennard crawled their way out of the underground facility just to get to Michael which damages them in the process one of their eyes is flickering and they’re dragging themselves across the floor, really showing how they would have done anything to get to Michael.
I definitely agree, the private room was so tense. I remember when I completed it, my power went out and I was waiting for that Ennard jumpscare while praying to god that I lasted long enough for it turn 6 AM now. I was lowkey shaking after I got saved by 6 AM. One problem I had though was I died a few times because Ennard sometimes didn’t make a sound when he moved from the end of the hallway to my door, I would just get randomly jumpscared without hearing a sound.
14:33 To add to what you were saying about the music, my favourite track from FNAF Sister Location has to be "Venta Black". Something about it just gives me chills. Love your videos BTW they're so in-depth and well made. I can really see how much you love this franchise. Keep up the amazing work!
Not to mention, this night doesnt just recontextualize the game ifself- but also the name. This isn't just a secondary business to Fazbear entertainment - this is his (Micheal) Sister's Location...
I honestly don't really like this night, since when you die you need to get back there, and since the sound cues sometimes don't play. In a really night where you're definitely going to be low on power, having the important sound cues sometimes not play is really annoying. Still, I agree that the story and music is really good!
“Did you notice it” he says, as he literally highlights the exact words lmao I think the realisation personally has more effect if you don’t indicate it and then point it out, show people what they potentially missed, or congratulate those who caught on
The atmosphere and 'feel' of the original games is absolutely iconic, and in my opinion is what made Fnaf what it was. I hope that Fnaf does go back to its roots, of being first and foremost a dark, gritty, and mysterious, horror experience. I know plenty of fan games and community driven content have driven in that direction and proven just how scary and effective this series can be when its characters are used in the right setting And i hope fnaf returns to that 'feel' that the original games had.
Your detailed explanation in every video just makes me realise how good the games are AND how good of a content creator you are. Always happy to see another upload.
As a veteran of the FNaF community I have to say your video-essay video styles is AMAZING, it's nice to listen to in the background no matter what I'm doing, keep it up!
I will forever say that Sister Location is my favorite game in the whole franchise. The first time we got to actually physically move around and interact with the animationics in a 3D setting was so terrifying and awesome. And the different jobs we had to do each night was so unexpected and tense. And fecking ENNARD. OMG ENNARD. Just by far best game.
😨"I will find a way out" That statement was the only time I felt genuine fear, sure I felt scared when I failed or almost did, but the looming threat was the worst part. And the fact that they get damaged on their way out and come to find you shows their true desperation. They WILL find a way out, even if it means maiming you or themselves in the process.😥
Its very rare that I agree with absolutley every opinon a youtuber makes about any given subject, especially so preciesly and what my exact thoughts are entirely but you managed to pull it off

Imagine hearing your long dead sister's voice, begging you to open the door so she can see you, but her voice is coming from a horrifying tangled misshapen monster with a blank expression crawling through the vent systems.

I don’t really think they’d pass as humans, Baby is 7ft and weighs over 500 lbs

Ennard has always been one of the scariest animatronics for me. I feel like a major factor of what makes it so scary is the sound design. The squeaking of metal as it moves paired with Baby/Elizabeth voices just seems so unnatural. The metallic squeaking noises specifically just give off the vibe of 'NOTHING should be making that sound, mechanical or otherwise'
A point that was brought up that I heard before was that Ennard is somewhat akin to a mechanical Skinwalker, the way it uses its voice mimicry to try and lure/kill people, so it can then disguise as them
And the phrase "Circus Baby has already been here [the scooping room] today." REALLY conveys the feeling of 'Ennard isn't Circus Baby anymore... at least not entirely.'
Yeah he's a unique animatronic and I like how they went with him being a hivemind of the main 4 funtimes
This is why Ennard will always be my favourite, and I love the “hive mind” concept :D
Honestly, I can't find any of them scary anymore. But when I first played the games, probably nightmarionne for me. The idea that a robot can have tentacles is just, no
i dont think ennard isint creepy but personally i beleive that someone else that we might not know is in there using babys voice but it cant be funtime freddy since he had a hat when kicking baby out in the fnaf 6 gamefiles and it cant be ballora since her eyes are closed, its just funtime foxy wouldnt be controlling ennard as well i think maybe someones in there that we dont known of
As a grown adult, none of the animatronics scare me anymore. Except for Ennard. Ennard is a literal nightmare.

Damn so sad.
That is most likely true
Michael was an asshat. Glad he came around, though.
yeah, I also think that maybe the whole "you won't die" thing correlates with her thinking that it was William because maybe she wanted him to endure the pain of the scooping room without dying? like how everyone just wants him to be tortured (ucn)
I dont think baby isnt being control by his sister anymore, or at lest she isnt herseft anymore because in fnaf ps, Henry did say " sorry to disturb you if you still remember that name"

The cold, inhuman metallic architecture, the feeling of supposedly empty rooms that you can’t help but feel is holding something that’s watching you, and the surprising incomprehensible size of the facility your trapped in not to mention how uniquely terrifying the Funtime’s were at the time they were the first animatronics (minus Springton) that felt fully sentient, the way they’re 100% aware of who you are and are OUT FOR BLOOD. the reveal that you were michael afton all along during this night not only recontextualized your motivations during this game, but the entire FRANCHISE up to that point. one of the biggest story complaints you’d always hear back in the day was that it made no sense for the player character to come back to the facilities in 1-3 after seeing their first animatronic move at night. after SL, we know that he knew exactly what he was getting into, and its just a fabulous way to resolve a plothole like that. this one night was a GAME CHANGER for the whole series.

I just wish it was longer. It would have given it more impact.
Sister Location was different for all the good reasons. Voice acting this major made the game so dark and creepier. I loved every moment of it.
The scariest part about this night is that if you die you need to wait 5 minutes to get back to the room

Anyways, fnaf SL is definitely one of my favorite games, and so far your analysis has been very interesting! Okay I’m going to pay attention and watch the rest of the video 👍
Nah SB and SL are both amazing
@@leonardowashere789 I'd argue SL is better, SB Is really dragged down due to Linear Gameplay and the shitty "story"
SL Is a better game in Story, and maybe not in gameplay because Minigame vs Free Roam? like really??
@@leonardowashere789 they’re both mid
For me SL still feels like the best one in terms of design, mainly Funtime Freddy, also since I'm a fan of AI characters I really liked FT Freddy and Baby having a personality and them being actual characters instead of being silent antagonists.
Ft. Freddy is my favourite animatronic from SL
I really agree with both of them being really intelligent, fnaf 3 cameras are insanely hard to navigate through because you lose so much time trying to figure out where Springtrap is, he just appears in really dark spots of each cameras and it makes it easy to lose sight of him tempting you to look at cameras even more
@@mr.chipotle9716 that i do agree. Springtrap was a master at FNAF1 Freddy's tactic of striking from the darkness
fnaf 3's addition is just the fact that there's only one animatronic
as much as I respect all points made in this video, I'm also a sucker for the way "circus baby has already been here today" just makes your stomach drop and your breath catch in your throat
In the part where Micheal says that “they” had thought it was William, and explains why At 4am Ennard uses Elizabeth’s Voice, and with the “I know it was an accident” could explain why the Funtime animatronics thought he was William Afton, even though this non canon, this really is spine chilling.
how is it noncanon
Its not non-canon since it is canon that they thought Micheal was William.
@@marcelinauy9037 Canon event cannot be changed!
Tbf, we don't know which ending is technically canon, either way ennard uses Michael's body
My 2nd pick for having a true "boss fight" vibe would have to be DJ Music Man lol, the background music and the sequence itself are epic.
Sister Location was literally the location of Michael’s sister!
Interesting 🧐
i think it was just named that because circus baby's pizza and rental is literally a sisterlocation to fredbear's or freddy fazbear's pizza

What got you about the stuffing Endoskeletons in you?
@@Digicara64 Having them shoved in your rear end
Another thing like that that got me (though more recent) is the one minireenas book story about the security guard who kept seeing the minireenas each night, falling asleep and then they're gone. Throughout the story he slowly notices his limbs swelling, until one night LOADS of minireenas crawl out of him. The same kinda 'several robotic consciousnesses controlling and entering your body' thought.
@@Digicara64 The part where they are stuffed in your rear end
Nice video, one small thing to point out though, You don’t really have a time window to close the door on Ennard. He gets a MO (movement opportunity) every few seconds, which gets shorter by the hour. These are:
12AM - 10 sec
1AM-3AM - 6 sec
4AM - 3 sec
5AM - 2 sec
power outage - 0.5 sec
So what actually happens is that when Ennard moves and arrives at the door, he has to wait for ANOTHER successful MO (50% of succeeding) to actually kill you.

I adore your opinions and I totally agree with this too but my personal opinion my favorite 5th night from any fnaf game has to be 4 but I may be biased for liking fnaf 4 a lot… it’s also really nice to know that u like fnaf 3 just like me too I love it’s atmosphere it’s story it’s animatronics mechanics etc but yeah sorry I went off topic but I love ur vids
WOAH only 2 minutes and u like my comment thanks man!
yeah fnaf 4 is my favourite too
I feel like Sister Location and Security Breach have A LOT in common, as if SB is the spiritual successor to SL.
Yeah, I love Pokemon Black and White, sucks that fandom hated for years over stupid reasons.
Pokemon Black and White wasn't a rushed, rewritten mess, though.
@Crot Red
The fans didn't rush them. The investors and higher ups rushed the game.
@Crot Red
Like I said, even if fans clamored for a game, ultimately, its up to the investors and higher ups to release the game.
Fans have no control over the production of a game (with exceptions, of course). The producers do.
I do believe saying that SB isn't a buggy mess would be a lie, but on the other hand it has a surprising amount of depth and a lot of soul has clearly been put into it. I wish we could play the game they intended to make with free roaming and a less scripted progression system, but it's not impossible to have fun with it in the state it's in
I already know you're going to be one of the biggest FNaF content creators one day. Your content is genuinely great.
And this makes it kinda sad ngl.
to add onto ennards desperation, remember what happens at the end of the secret ending. you go home, watch your show, and as it finishes, ennard starts moving into view from the right. this ESPECIALLY shows how desperate they were bc they literally FOLLOWED YOU TO YOUR HOUSE so they could use you as a disguise whether you survived or not
Ohhh yessss
I fully agree with all your points; Sister Location is my fav tbh. It's just such a cool game imo
On a different note: in my opinion, one of the most underrated characters is Old Man Consequences.
Aaaa oml I’m glad I found someone who has the same opinions as me on this lmao
Ennard is one of my favourite characters from the whole franchise basically just because of this portion of the game.
The funtimes have the same motive as Ennard because they're the same person
@@0rangeeige199 yes that’s true
"And to you, my brave volunteer, who found this job listing, not intended for you.
Michael is clearly aware of the nightmare animatronics, due to him mentioning and even showing an image of nightmare fredbear via the survival logbook (believed to be owned by michael, which would make sense if he's the nightguard for pretty much every location), and nightmare fredbears jump scare seems to tie into the fact michael saw his brother get crushed by the springlock system (and was utterly shocked and terrified as a result)
the crying child couldnt know they were in a hospital, due to a coma induced by the destruction of their frontal lobe, the child also wouldnt be able to hear their own heart rate monitor (night 5, childs death).
@@GarbageEmpirewasn’t Jeremy in the bite of 87
I love how scott got with this in the first place, like: "Here are the cameras, doors and a rare killing machine out there, you know what to do"
This video perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the secret Ennard boss fight on Night 5 into words. The actual location of the night (the private security office room itself and the various camera rooms) fits so well with the music playing. Something about its aesthetics I just really love. And the music itself is just soooooo good, it really represents you going up against the fury and desperation of several mishappen robotic abominations possessed by children hunting you down to use you as a human flesh suit super well
YES! Sister location is by far one of the best games in the franchise, and the night 5 and custom night really sell that, I'm not gonna write a paragraph but I'll get my point across in one phrase:

as a sci-fi nerd, i love this games style, and how the animatronics replicate real muscles using micro tubes, eventually becoming a semi tangled mess as ennard, which likely is what also made it noisy when it moved, when normally they are silent except when they talk or play music
Thank you for talking about this, "Watch Your Six" is easily the best track of the FNAF series. Plus this entire night is just so damn intense.

The ending was taken seriously too for the ennard night as they said
"We will find a way out"
Which they did, you just sitting there eating butter when suddenly they just start slowly coming into view, knowing there is nothing you can really do expect wait
I also really like Ennard's design and think it's one of the most clever and cool looking enemies in the series.

12:50 Yup, trying to make Mike feel better so he'll let his sister inside.

Christ. The art is incredible. Has anyone else noted this? If not, then that's criminal.
Not to mention, this night doesnt just recontextualize the game ifself- but also the name. This isn't just a secondary business to Fazbear entertainment - this is his (Micheal) Sister's Location...
Just finished the video, and I noticed a few of these things like the baby I to We, but it got slowly and more confusing. Really, really good job.
I honestly don't really like this night, since when you die you need to get back there, and since the sound cues sometimes don't play. In a really night where you're definitely going to be low on power, having the important sound cues sometimes not play is really annoying. Still, I agree that the story and music is really good!
didn't know it was possible to make such a tense and gripping video about *one single night at freddy's.* my hat is off.

I think the realisation personally has more effect if you don’t indicate it and then point it out, show people what they potentially missed, or congratulate those who caught on
The atmosphere and 'feel' of the original games is absolutely iconic, and in my opinion is what made Fnaf what it was.
I hope that Fnaf does go back to its roots, of being first and foremost a dark, gritty, and mysterious, horror experience.
I know plenty of fan games and community driven content have driven in that direction and proven just how scary and effective this series can be when its characters are used in the right setting
And i hope fnaf returns to that 'feel' that the original games had.
Your detailed explanation in every video just makes me realise how good the games are AND how good of a content creator you are. Always happy to see another upload.
Honestly I feel like Watch Your 6 and Nowhere To Run are tied in first place, they just fit the vibe so well.
The soundtrack “Watch Your 6” is genuinely one of my favourite pieces of music ever.
