He makes things that are loud and bombastic and mostly nonsense, with just enough scattered highlights that, combined with the sheer garishness of the shows, somehow turned him being one of the most successful and influential artists of our time.
Cats was better. It didn’t shit on 40 years of fandom. It tried to hold true to its roots. The musical is nonsensical. At least Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy didn’t have a hand in Cats or it would’ve been really bad.

Without my even asking if she liked the movie. She scolded me for having got her mink out of storage for the event. She was very cross.

Watching this movie was the weirdest experience of my life. I had to watch the British Baking Show to cleanse my mind so I could go to sleep. This movie is an experience. I was respectful as I can during the movie. When I was in the bathroom after I had a laughing fit. I had to release that energy. I am still kind of freaked out by it. I highly recommend seeing it. Even after being fully spoiled before going in I was not disappointed. There is simultaneously no good part or bad part to leave to the bathroom during the movie. It was like watching Trapped In The Closet for the first time but way weirder. So weird. Hurts my brain. Feel the fizz and watch this movie!
It’s amazing to me how this got made, they could’ve made a movie with animated singing cats and would print money and it might’ve worked, or they could make it like the play and at least be loyal, but they somehow decided to make a furry paradise...

The CGI and animation is actually really great, the idea behind it is the problem.
Not sure how you think the cgi in this movie is bad. It's amazing what they've done look wise, it's just obviously poorly executed.

I think the point of the musical in the very first place was for aesthetic and to showcase the talent of dance not necessarily focusing on plot.
