The Jayda InStitches Show 2019
Brought to you by The InStitches Team! :)
I wouldn't be able to resist making it a Unicorn! 🦄
An adorable horse.
I just watched your folk art calendar blanket video 📹 dated November 22, 2019. Your horse applique is cute by the way😊. Another applique to put on one's wall hanging 😊. This shades of green with a light blue sky blanket also had a barn, tractor 🚜, pumpkins 🎃, sunflowers 🌻, mushrooms 🍄, trees🌳, a huge sun ☀ and a row of houses 🏘. I most likely would have crocheted the pumpkin 🎃 and trees🌳 appliques 😊. See you in your next video 📹 😊.
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊
Ty for horsey. Sweet going
WONDERFUL and BeauTiFUL
Hi Julie, thank you!

Hi Marge! Thank you for watching :)
This is the most fun project I've ever worked on. It's so hard to wait until the end of the month when next applique is revealed. Thank you for sharing your gift of crochet!
Hi Barbara, we are so happy to hear that! We've had so much fun working on this blanket this year! We're delighted to know you have too :)
I love your show! The horse is cute and a perfect addition to the blanket. I haven't done any crocheting in 44 years, but do other crafts like counted cross stitch, and I chapped on one of you videos. I love your teaching processes and was inspired to get back to the yarn and hook! I'm loving it! Thank you so much!
Hi Dawnra, welcome to the big, crafty community! Thank you for watching :)
Good morning Jayda and Mr. inStitches!!!!
Hi Michelle!
Looking at the finished blanket I was stuck by the thought, " Wow that blanket is a work of art " it should be framed and displayed as a mural on the wall!!!...
Hi Elizabeth! Well, that's why it's the Folk Art blanket :) I'll be hanging mine!
Omg that green sweater you're wearing in the intro is so lovely.

Thank you for this great addition to the blanket Jayda , I made mine in grey and did a longer ear to turn him into a donkey for my dad who sadly passed two weeks ago , he loved donkeys and he loved my blanket so I have to finish it in his honour 😪Amanda xx
Hi Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear about your father passing. However, that is such a sweet way to include a bit of your dad in your blanket, I really like that :)
Thank you Jayda your reply means a lot xx

Hi Jlee! It's a busy crafty time of year :)
So cute
And, thank you for the horse.
The horse is great! I just finished mine although it isn't attached to the blanket yet. Mine is brown, with a tan man and tail!
Mine is tan with a brawn mane and tail! We have opposite twins!
Hi Carol! Thank you :) I had trouble deciding what colour to do mine! I love horses of all colours :)
I'm so far behind in this blanket. I'm still at trying to get the houses sewn on so please don't delete any of the videos regarding this blanket. After Christmas, I'm going to get caught up on this.
@@KathyDouglass Thank you. I will check it out.
Hi Lana! Don't worry, we have no intentions of removing any of the videos for our Calendar blankets :)
I absolutely love love love the horse. I will make 2!!!
Hi Quinell, there's definitely enough room for 2 :)
@@JaydaInStitches 😁😁
Jada can you make a blanket video soon ❤️❤️
Hi Wendy! We'll be finishing our Folk Art blanket soon :)
Thanks
How cute😆 thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching Monica!
Hey Jayda! What a cute horse! I have dilemma though...you said we have one more appliqué for December and then a simple border. I am in a serious time crunch to get this and other projects done for Christmas. So...will the December appliqué in any way affect the border if I put my own simple border on now? I assume not, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for your beautiful designs! 🧶
Hi Stacey! We intend to have both the last applique and the border done before Christmas - but if you wanted to add a border now, go ahead, the last applique will not interrupt it :)
Loved the horse but didn't do horses on our farm so I adjusted the pattern and made a cow. Added udder and cow bell. If you add cows, I will definitely take this one off and add your version. Will you be making the border in December so I can give it as a gift?
Hi Dawn, I love it! We'll definitely have the project finished before Christmas :)
A horse? Of course! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!)
Kathy D The famous Mr. Ed?
wanted to ask you if you could do a tutorial on making a granny skirt that is part granny squares and part crochet with either single crochet or double crochet?
Than you for the suggestion too :)
Well I tried knitting the horse and it turned out really large with a big rear end. I am pretty new at crochet but I have completed the trees & trunks and the barn and houses. They all seem a good size. So is it feasible to use a smaller crochet hook but same size yarn and get a smaller horse. I love doing the appliques until I don't. LOL I will try the horse again with same size hook and yarn and see if it changes but I will be also looking at your suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Hi Bonita, you can certainly try using a smaller hook size, in this case, that would be just fine!
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you Jayda. I did use a smaller hook and I did manage to get a horse. Looks really cute.
i am curious, have you heard about Coppa, and all the stuff that is going around on youtube, channels meeting requirements, and the FTC.
SOOOOO stinkin cute!! TFS ❣️✌️🐞 ☮️🧶
* giggle * Thank you Lala!
This horse was so easy and so cute,I am looking for a small chicken pattern, do you have a pattern for it? No bigger than the horse, need it to attach a wreath I am making for my son and soon to be daughter in law. They have a farm with horses and chickens and a donkey. They each picked two colors and i crocheted all around the wreath form now going to add the horses and chickens around it. Made a similar one for my daughter and daughter in law with puzzle pieces and butterflies and my other daughter and her family with crosses attached. So if you have a small chick pattern I would love to copy it. Thanks.
Made me think of Dorothy from oz so I had to make it course a horse of a different color lol
* giggle * I think in my next version of this blanket, this horse might become a unicorn!
@@JaydaInStitches ooo i love it!!! Then maybe some fairy and leprechauns hanging out in The enchanted forest💚
Where is toad stool pattern attached. How can I turn the horse into a cow. This is for a dairy farmer/boss.
Hi Terri, here is the Toadstool tutorial :) ruclips.net/video/LwYRckabQKk/видео.html
Did your husband and family do intro music for this video? Your husband is very musical.
Hi Reta, thank you, but we can't take credit for that catchy intro music, it's a piece offered by RUclips for people to use in their videos :)
Love the horse, but after attaching it I lost the ear 😟 now he looks like a dog 😂. I guess you not going to do a fish?? Project was great 👍🏾
* giggle * You could embroidery a little one on top of his head :) We've got one more applique to go, then the border!
Great idea... I will
Jayda you are so talented. How long did it take you to come up with the pattern?
Hi Win, thank you so much! All patterns take different amounts of time. Mr. InStitches and I worked on the design of this blanket project for months!
Length of the blanket please.
The whole blanket is approximately 139 cm tall x 99 cm wide (55.5 x 39.5 inches).
Hey Jayda can you talk about what is going on RUclips with Cappa. Because it does effect us Yarn Lovers since Kids do watch and learn how to Crochet and Knit from RUclips.
@@KathyDouglass I agree, but Amigurumi would count as child content and also the rules are vague on what is child content.
Hi Kaitlin, We're also trying to make sense of the latest news and updates on this issue between COPPA, FTC & RUclips. To be honest we don't know what's going to happen in January either, but from the sounds of things it's just an issue about people specifically making content for people under the age of 13.
I’m now 6 appliqués behind 🤧😷🤒🤢😵
Hi Elle, I hope you're feeling better! Don't worry, the videos aren't going anywhere :)
Thank you. I finished a chrochet top and Afghan I’m sending to family member in Puerto Rice. Now I can concentrate on my blanket 😊😊😊
