Quick question tmartn i understand you're big on the cod scene have been for awhile but i am a little curious as to why you haven't been covering battlefield 2042 as much as it deserves knowing that it is just as anticipated if not more anticipated as this years cod. I started to like this game. The cinematic looks very much like a movie, and I can't wait for the whole storyline. So as for the game, I'm quite impressed with everything, like guns sound much better and louder than COD:WW2.I also like Arthur Kingsley for his leadership and his multilingual talent.
Woooo, the Merville Battery! A real engagement. Look it up, one of the finest feats of arms in the Second World War. 750 men of the 9th Parachute Battalion dropped, only 150 got to the rendezvous, the plan fell to pieces but they assaulted at the last minute and prevented the battery firing on the seaborne troops. About 80 men walked out of the fight in one piece at the end of the battery attack - but it was just before 6am and D-Day had many hours left to go and the survivors had other objectives to complete. Press on regardless, Ready For Anything.
The second mission is actually base on a true story. A bunch of British commandos actually went behind enemy lines and take out bunkers artillery and secure a satellite. Its a unique story.
Operation Tonga was a real operation on the Second World War. It was the code name used for the British Airborne drops that were conducted before, during and after June 6th.
Time traveler 1: we did it, we invented time travel Time traveler 2: but when are we Time traveler 1: let me ask someone... HEY over there does tmartn2 still call the first episode “the beginning”? Person: yes Time traveler 1: you see we could be at any point in history

Small quibble: during the cut-scene with the British airborne forces in the Dakota, Baker uses the term 'krauts' for Germans. That is inaccurate; the British used the term 'Jerry' to refer to Germans during WW2 (as they did during WW1), or occasionally 'Bosch'. 'Kraut' was an American term, which crept into use by the British during the post-war period. As I said, small quibble, but for me it does break the necessary 'suspension of disbelief'.
Wish they waited a year to release so we could get more campaigns, a German infantry squad in the eastern front, a Japanese soldiers Iwo Jima, the desert rats in North Africa, the births Commandos, the night witches a all female night bomber regiment in Russia, mosquito pilots. So many stories both soldier spy and civilian to tell.
I knew that this series is going to start. After the far cry 6 gameplay, I had a huge guess that this series will kickoff. Also early to watch this! Much blessing and prayers for you tmartn! Get well soon!
