I remember all my friends making fun of me for getting it on Wii, but joke's on them. Those controls were actually extremely fun. And I remember the campaign being so good, I never even tried the multiplayer bc I didn't care about it. When CODIV came out I thought it was kinda lame since it focused on multiplayer lol.

I got Medal of Honor: Frontline when it came out and I was beside myself with how amazing the graphics and gameplay were. I was hooked. Operation: Singapore Sling was a mission that still stands out to me all these years later along with the eerie quote at the start of the game about "One more soldier reporting, sir. I've served my time in Hell.."
I was 22 when this game came out and you better Believe I played it every day. The medal of Honor servers that we lived on were dying and everyone was looking for a new war game. Then we heard about a new medal of Honor game that was being made by the same guys who left MOH and started their own studio. So collectively, we all moved over to COD the day it was released. I swear we waited forever for this game to come out. I miss those days! This was the greatest thing to happen to MP at the time. We were so amazed by how amazing the graphics were. The guns actually looked like real life guns and the "soldier" movement blew out minds 😂😅..

Hey! Call of Duty: United Offensive is not at all dead (neither is Call of Duty itself, the non-expansion version - though it seems 1.1 is more popular and it has certainly died off more than UO). There are many dedicated players, including myself. I also work to archive custom, user-made multiplayer maps. I have made an FOV changer so that you can play widescreen in Multiplayer comfortably. Furthermore, servers like {RA}, OTS, QRS and Historians are regularly populated. We love playing! Most people play in the evenings (in the US), and more people typically join on weekends (Friday through Sunday). There were even people on RA in your video! I would've loved to see you play with real people. They're social, and it's an overall fun environment. We'd love to see you play some time!
I want to make it clear fir those who think cod 1 is dead. It's not. 1.5 doesn't have any public players but a lot of competitive clan scrims and cups etc. 1.1 version has public players but not much competitive matches. And there are still a bunch of clans and communities on discord.
I played cod 1 on a HP with 256mb of ram and windows 2000 and an original celeron cpu at 1.2Mhz and a 4Mb cashe size gpu back in 2004 and played it until 2012 as I paid for a server that I had molded with AWE or PAM which were mostly used, also ran the game at 800 by 600 windowed on that old pc. I'm going to be 37yrs in August and this has nostalgia to me as I was addicted to call of duty since this game and my friends couldn't play because they didn't have a pc.

I even had the original Battlefield 2142 and all I did was play against the bots. I think what newer generation gamers fail to realize is that the most successful franchises of today started off with their memorable singleplayer missions. Call of Duty wasn't made just for multiplayer, so watching this was quite frustrating.
I remember playing cod 2 and 3 on Xbox 360 back before halo 5 and it was a very tight community for 3, this video was a lot of how my cod 2 experiences went
I played this in 2003. I didn't even know it had multi-player lol back then you had to by an additional component to hook the internet up to the playstation, picture a brick with an internet hole that had to be attached to the ps2. Lol
I just turned 43 this year, grew up in the late 80's and 90's playing games like Wolfenstein, doom, and medal of honor. I remember playing cod 1 for the first time and it blew my mind, the first fps that i played where you actually aimed down the sights of your gun. You could peak out around corners to take shots. You couldn't camp long in a spot because bombs would be dropped on you, something that should still be in the games i think, it was awesome for its time.

For anyone wanting to try this out in the future, I don't recommend it, all of the old school CoD games on PC that require a P2P connection (up to BO3) have an extreme vulnerability where if someone wanted to they could RAT your PC. Basically, if someone wanted to, they could have full access to your PC and do whatever the fuck they wanted with it. For example, there's multiple clips of streamers getting their PC mauled live on stream while playing the old school CoDs because of the exploit. Using a third party client like Plutonium for example is pretty much necessary because they patch the exploits.
I used to play this in college back in 2008/9 with mates, we'd all huddle in his living room and have 6 laptops connected with LAN. We were only 16 or 17 at the time but would have a crate of beers and Dude wheres my car playing in the background

I remember this game had a bolt action only or 1 in the chamber mode. Most fun I've had in a fps since golden eye. This game still had support for Dial up internet and I think back to windows 98 too. Before I got a after school job we had dial up and a crappy eMachines PC. I remember only being able to play this Diablo 2 and Starcraft broodwar at time were the only active dial up games I knew of. I eventually upgraded the internet to cable paying myself in high school this was back in 07. I also upgraded my PC and I was able to play World of Warcraft. I'll never forget where started though this game is so nostalgic.

I can still remember playing something similar to that game in 08 when my uncle gave his laptop to me, was born on 05. I love the campaign where you busts through a prison camp and rescue the marines within 10 minutes after your first shot, the level where you drive a tank, the Leningrad one where after luckily leaving the boat in time before it exploded you're not given a gun only 5 bullets and have to follow a guy or else you'll get ripped to shreds by machine gun fire or a plane, and lastly the paratrooping one where you can see a dead soldier hanging on a tree branch.

Driving a tank and leaving the boat are from the Russian campaign. The boat is in Stalingrad though not Leningrad. Brothers in arms games are all focused on 101st Airborne division.
I'm proud to say it now, that I've played this beauty on my cousin's desktop. But I'm ashamed that I couldn't pass the training round. Gave up. (I didn't even know I could use the mouse… I found that out when my cousin started playing, I'll never forget that betrayal)

I love the campaign where you busts through a prison camp and rescue the marines within 10 minutes after your first shot, the level where you drive a tank, the Leningrad one where after luckily leaving the boat in time before it exploded you're not given a gun only 5 bullets and have to follow a guy or else you'll get ripped to shreds by machine gun fire or a plane, and lastly the paratrooping one where you can see a dead soldier hanging on a tree branch.

@@gamer_sara2987 No what you describe is this game. The prison camp mission is about saving Major Ingram and it's one of the last US missions. Driving a tank and leaving the boat are from the Russian campaign. The boat is in Stalingrad though not Leningrad. Brothers in arms games are all focused on 101st Airborne division.

I'm proud to say it now, that I've played this beauty on my cousin's desktop.
But I'm ashamed that I couldn't pass the training round. Gave up. (I didn't even know I could use the mouse… I found that out when my cousin started playing, I'll never forget that betrayal)
My first cod was cod big red one on the PS2. I vividly remember playing the mission where you’re flying on the bomber operating various turrets shooting down German planes.
I do remember this game it was alot of fun back in the day
