The only reason I feel I can call myself a car person is because you guys have made it so accessible and fun. You've brought me into this and I've followed along. I only know the basic mechanical systems involved in cars, most of which I learned through your show. So to see this level of an engine breakdown is fascinating! Thanks for sharing this process! Also, its nice to see you guys! Can't wait to see the Falcon up and running in style.
I had no idea what you looked like until now, and my original vision has now been shattered. I am sorry to say that I had imagined up a dude wearing polo shirts and plaid golf shorts and maybe a hat. A hat one would golf in.
+RegularCars I didn't hear what you guys said at the start about revealing your faces so I pretty much crapped myself when you spoke in front of the camera :)
Been watching RCR for a super long time. Never commented before but just wanted to say that it is hands down the best piece of car... media? that exists. Nostalgia, wit, humor, and even new stuff. What more could you want?
For all of my interest in cars, I've never actually seen anyone dismantle an engine. This was educational and inspiring. I'm a terrible wrench (I only rotate tires and change oil), but somehow you two make the whole engine rebuild process much less frightening. Thank you. And, it's great to finally see you two. All the descriptions of "We'll be the ones in dad clothes" were spot on. Not a bad thing. Keep doing what you're doing!
Mr. Regular sounds like a man in his early 40's who wears big round glasses and sips his orange juice every morning while reading the paper and chuckling as he glazes over the comic strip section. Never have I been so wrong.
It's been a pleasure watching the Vagabond Falcon videos this far. It's cool to see your interest and enthusiasm for every step of the resto-mod. The best of luck for the rest of the project to come!
This is the first I've seen of your Falcon build and I found this to be inadvertently super informative on how to dismantle an engine. Looking forward to the assembly!
Harmonica balancer! Man, bringing back so many memories of being in school. :D Awesome video, Dr. Regular! Great to see the Vagabond Falcon engine coming along, and many thanks to Bruce Henn, both in opening up his shop to you guys, and for being such an awesome teacher!
This is gonna be like a brand new experience for me, and anyone else also. I got sense of relief watching/hearing you at the same time. Can't wait for the next review and when the bond is done.
I'm just glad that you guys show the engine actually getting stripped down, I watch so many car videos where they just fast forward through that part, but I genuinely want to see that more often than not. Keep up the great work guys!
this was a real nice engine breakdown/tutorial video, i like how it was shot and narrated. like it wasn't just bam we did that thing that we explained how to do but didn't record it.
This brings me back. I rebuilt a 289 for a friend's dad in auto tech. His was also for a Falcon. The friend drove a '64 (I think) Ranchero with the 200 I-6. That was a Falcon loving family. True story: we went to Texas Motor Speedway with his Ranchero for a Falcon meet. We were allowed to take the car on the track and he got that Ranchero up to, I want to say, 80, but the engine stalled, probably because of the steep banking.
Great video. I'll have to say that even though it was interesting to see your faces, Bruce Henn completely stole the show in this video. He just has this "wise man" aura that warms my face through the computer screen. You can clearly feel the respect you guys have for him. I can't wait to see more!
This is so timely. I'm doing my first tear down/rebuild with a Nissan VG30E (which will go into my 69 Datsun 510). It's awesome you guys can learn all this from a mentor like Bruce. Thanks for sharing all this with us!
No joke, RCR is the only reason I know what the fuck my alternator is in my Jeep. The more I watch this channel, the more I start picking up about cars.
You will have a great attachment to this car after rebuilding it. I've always wanted to rebuild a car. I'm very excited to see it come back together. Good luck!
Bruce's hands constantly look clean, even when he's pulling a piston out an engine. I work on my car and end up looking like a late 1800's chimney sweeper.
That was actually really informative. It's good to know that you guys are willing to actually dig into the engine and learn/teach/demonstrate the inner workings. It seems like most car commenters are knowledgeable about cars from solely a "numbers" perspective. you guys are the real deal. Thanks. PS you're both pretty hot.
This is a good video, I hope you never had any doubts because I think alot of people are gonna be really happy you've done a video like this. Keep it up!
I was actually both surprised and not surprised, deep down I believed he was younger like one of my friends who is almost 20 but went to an REO Speedwagon concert. My brain pointed towards the easiest conclusion. looking at all the references that never hit me. i started watching when I found the E30 review. For some reason I love 80's sports cars and this one stuck out from all the other cars at my school, I had to find out. Right now my goal is the fiero as my second car, the first will be my dad's personal trashcan. A 95 Grand Am. I love this show. you are one of a handful youtube channels that inspired me.
Nice to see a real teardown and not the polished up fakery that you see on most "Car TV". I haven't actually torn down an engine myself since I was a teenager... over 20 years ago lol... grew up in a busy auto shop but that's a life I've left behind.
I've never seen an engine get torn down like that. Pretty cool. Good luck with that engine! Hopefully it doesn't need a whole lot of work. Also, it's cool to finally put a face to the voice!
I know all of this has already been said but god damn Mr Regular. I can't show this video to my girlfriend in fear she will travel to PA in search of you. Very interesting video, good looks aside. Thank you, sir.
Thats so cool it reminds me of last semester in my auto class, I got to start on the engines portion of class and we did a complete tear down of a I4 outta a Chevy Citation
I love how on reddit you said how anticlimactic the reveal would be, and looking at these comments, you were wrong. Good video as always, lots of progress being made
Now that the myth has been broken I feel kind of empty. I'll miss the "spot Mr Regular in the mirror" games. :'( On the other hand: after being a Patreon for almost a year I would say money well spent. ;)
Sir, I hope you realize that not only you seem like such a chill guy to hang around with whilst building an engine.. but you're also incredibly attractive.
+Armoured Skeptic for some reason when I say skeptic in head I keep hear septic. like your shows and either I am completely lucky or youtube is small I started watching 2-3 weeks ago
glad to see you guys learning! tore down my first v8 this past summer too. 273 chrysler small block. I feel violated by seeing your face though. it'll haunt me as I sleep tonight...
double hump oil pans on Ford's are because the oil pump is in the front (old American engines usually had the oil pump driven by the distibutor) now they are driven off the crank snout, as distributors died in 2001-2003. The sump and pickup are in the back.
Was kind of scared when I saw how little oil came out of that thing... I pull almost 5 and a half liters out of a 2 liter GM when I change it while this one should have maybe had around 10 at least. And the filter was almost empty too. Had a feeling something would be burned up inside. Doesn't look too bad though. Good luck with the rest of the build guys, I'm anxious to see how it goes in the next episode.

Although I saw you guys when you reviewed my car, seeing it on video made my face melt like a Nazi in an adventure movie.
Which car?
+pbfloyd13 He can't tell you, his face is melting.
Arch Onix Hahahaah!
pbfloyd13 The 190e which everyone said wasn't an import and then determined it was an import. lol

He is way hotter than I though he was going to be.
+GhibliDisco awwwww u
+RegularCars I didn't hear what you guys said at the start about revealing your faces so I pretty much crapped myself when you spoke in front of the camera :)
+Henry Blackman I crapped when the firecrackers went off, even though I read the entire warning.
For real though Mr. Regular, my pants are soaked nao.
Mr. Regular? More like Mr. Handsome.
i hope ur a women
+bananamanstrikesback XD What's wrong with telling another dude how hot he is??? 😉
bananamanstrikesback XD I'm a dude. Mr regular is handsome.
+bananamanstrikesback XD why you gotta be gay about it?
+Lé gismo its not gay if you're straight.
I did this to my 73 F100 this year. Eneded up boring 0.030 over and adding some extra parts from summit onto it. now rocking 4bbl and tons of power!
oh and oil pressure. kinda important!
+TheStuffz BORING

This is one of the best vagabond videos from you yet. Seeing you go from an engine block to the component parts is so wonderful.
This is the first I've seen of your Falcon build and I found this to be inadvertently super informative on how to dismantle an engine. Looking forward to the assembly!
Harmonica balancer! Man, bringing back so many memories of being in school. :D
Awesome video, Dr. Regular! Great to see the Vagabond Falcon engine coming along, and many thanks to Bruce Henn, both in opening up his shop to you guys, and for being such an awesome teacher!
Thank you for sharing this. This is easier and more fun to watch than any other 302 tear down video on RUclips.
I don't know why, but I always pictured Mr. Regular with a full beard. Turns out, I was right
I always pictured him clean shaven. I was wrong
+Simplex SM At first I also pictured a clean shave, but then he said he had an English major, so a full beard was needed
+Eu Falo De Carro I don't know what I always pictured him as, but it sure as heck wasn't that!
This is gonna be like a brand new experience for me, and anyone else also. I got sense of relief watching/hearing you at the same time. Can't wait for the next review and when the bond is done.

this was a real nice engine breakdown/tutorial video, i like how it was shot and narrated. like it wasn't just bam we did that thing that we explained how to do but didn't record it.
Before your videos I wasn't really interested in cars, but all your videos have made it very easy to get into. Thanks for doing this.
This brings me back. I rebuilt a 289 for a friend's dad in auto tech. His was also for a Falcon. The friend drove a '64 (I think) Ranchero with the 200 I-6. That was a Falcon loving family. Mr. Regular?
More like Mr. Cutie Boy
haven't even watched the video yet but tru
haha
Omg, didn't expect to find u in these comments!
Nice to see someone from the bike section of youtube! Love you vids bro
This is so timely. I'm doing my first tear down/rebuild with a Nissan VG30E (which will go into my 69 Datsun 510). It's awesome you guys can learn all this from a mentor like Bruce.
Thanks for sharing all this with us!
Truly wasn't expecting you to be so young. You have one of those awesome voices that don't match the look! Great work sir, keep it up!
Thanks for uploading this on my Birthday!
Happy Birthday.
+Hermit527 Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
No joke, RCR is the only reason I know what the fuck my alternator is in my Jeep. The more I watch this channel, the more I start picking up about cars.
Hope the build continues well! We support you all the way to the finish line no matter what lays on the path in between
You will have a great attachment to this car after rebuilding it. I've always wanted to rebuild a car. I'm very excited to see it come back together. Good luck!
*Regular Face Reviews*
The 198(?) Mr. Regular Face: The official face of being better than alluded to.
Bruce's hands constantly look clean, even when he's pulling a piston out an engine. I work on my car and end up looking like a late 1800's chimney sweeper.
Main caps, they're called main caps. Very cool to see you doing all the things I want to do (tearing an engine apart). Good luck!
I might move to Pennsylvania just for Bruce's garage...
Great video fellas, looks like you snagged yourself quite the clean engine there, here's hoping it'll give you thousands of miles of great service.
Watching this 302 Teardown in my 4th Period Online course. Worth it! Awesome videos Mr. Handsome... I mean Regular!
thank you Bruce for letting them use your awesome shop
See your faces today is like celebrating Christmas early. Thank you.

I don't. That's why I said thank you for making less competition for the straight guys trying to get some pussy.
Liked the format of this vid guys. Nice pacing, very informative. Got a bit of an education from this one. BTW, nice to see you guys "again".😉
This is a good video, I hope you never had any doubts because I think alot of people are gonna be really happy you've done a video like this.
Keep it up!

this is a build i look forward to watching since old ford are my favorite cars.
Nice beard! Looks like the build is going OK, can't wait to see it done!
I feel like I'm watching Blues Brothers.
Bruce is so Elwood!
Nice to see a real teardown and not the polished up fakery that you see on most "Car TV".
I haven't actually torn down an engine myself since I was a teenager... over 20 years ago lol... grew up in a busy auto shop but that's a life I've left behind.
THE FACE OF A GOD.
+TuneDeafOfficial ALL HAIL FINK
I've never seen an engine get torn down like that. Pretty cool. Good luck with that engine! Hopefully it doesn't need a whole lot of work. Also, it's cool to finally put a face to the voice!
Epic Simpsons reference. You just won my heart.
I only realized it was you when I saw the New Balance shoes. I still remember the random rant of how only New Balance make shoes that fit.
I'm not sure why people are surprised by the face. Like they said, you can see fleeting glimpses of his face in at least a dozen videos already.
Great vid Mr. Regular. Can't wait to see how it goes.
This week I saw chrisfix's face, and Mr. Regular's face. My heart palpitates with excitement.
I know all of this has already been said but god damn Mr Regular. I can't show this video to my girlfriend in fear she will travel to PA in search of you. Very interesting video, good looks aside. Thank you, sir.
"Bored housewife consistency" oh my fucking god that made me laugh, golden line boys, golden!
'Dr. Regular' has quite a ring to it! Either as a soda or a laxative.
the size of that shop makes me happy
Thats so cool it reminds me of last semester in my auto class, I got to start on the engines portion of class and we did a complete tear down of a I4 outta a Chevy Citation
Great video guys! Stoked to see this comming together finally
Dude this was seriously very informative. Wrenching for regular people. "Regular Car Mods"? haha!
So ready to see the completed project!!!
Fantastic video! Love this kinda stuff.
I saw the face of Mr. Regular. My life is complete now.
I always imagined you as a slightly balding slightly grey haired father. Thanks for being gorgeous.
Great vids these, I like the parts rack you're using, that would make things easier.
loving the build so far!
I love how on reddit you said how anticlimactic the reveal would be, and looking at these comments, you were wrong. Good video as always, lots of progress being made
Great video. I love this series with the falcon. I've learned a lot over the time. :)
Bruce Henn is such a legend fr.
Now that the myth has been broken I feel kind of empty. I'll miss the "spot Mr Regular in the mirror" games. :'(
On the other hand: after being a Patreon for almost a year I would say money well spent. ;)
Wow. Can't believe we've been supporting for that long already!
They're so beautiful!
Mr. Regular doesn't look so regular. That beard is special.
Mr.Regular is a beautiful man.
Sir, I hope you realize that not only you seem like such a chill guy to hang around with whilst building an engine.. but you're also incredibly attractive.
"I thought you'd be uglier"
thats what everyone said when they saw my face for the first time
+Armoured Skeptic I never knew you were a car guy. Cool.
I'm guilty, love u though skeptie
+Armoured Skeptic nice!
+Armoured Skeptic for some reason when I say skeptic

+Armoured Skeptic oh armoured skeptic you're the best.
You guys make it look easy.
glad to see you guys learning! tore down my first v8 this past summer too. 273 chrysler small block. I feel violated by seeing your face though. it'll haunt me as I sleep tonight...
I will most likely be doing this to a "project" car I just got. Funny you upload it today.
this is like seeing Batman without his mask :)
Mr. Regular, you are cute.
Love that 350Z in the background :D
Very cool video, enjoyed it alot. Can't wait for the next one
I'm just here for the faces. Also the 302. Also I watch every RCR video so I'm just here anyway.
That engine definitely had a rough life.
But some Bruce Henn/Mr. Regular's Face magic should sort it right out!
18:35 The term you are looking for is main caps.
+Zephmont Main Caps!
+RegularCars cmon guys its a roller lifter engine, it needs a bigger cam then that stocker :p
+robsp32 at least go for a b303
That was a really good teardown video!
"You guys aren't funny!"
Yeah? Well I'm a god damn doctor.
Brilliant
I thought I knew what you looked like when I saw your face in another video, but you're much better looking than I thought.
If you close your eyes Bruce Henn is Dominic Toretto. His voice man, strangely calming.
OH MAN THIS IS IT
ugh. That's the same music that plays at my work all damn day.
Now
I know how Roman and MR.R looks like.
My life is now complete.
i'd love to see some more wrenching from your point of view mr regular, like how you do POV drives
Take the old inline six and turn it into a coffee table!
That song playing around 8:20, " You're so f*cking beautiful!" Any coincidence that it's in the video where Mr. Regular is fully revealed? Lol!
double hump oil pans on Ford's are because the oil pump is in the front (old American engines usually had the oil pump driven by the distibutor) now they are driven off the crank snout, as distributors died in 2001-2003. The sump and pickup are in the back.
That was pretty awesome to watch
Access to a kick ass garage. The dream!
I've pretty much agreed with everything Mr. Regular has said in his videos. Except for that time he said he wasn't particularly handsome.
The Roman looks more Regular than Mr himself, but then again he looks like your average Guitar+ drum player.
Was kind of scared when I saw how little oil came out of that thing... I pull almost 5 and a half liters out of a 2 liter GM when I change it while this one should have maybe had around 10 at least.
