My mistake was not thinking about tire tread wear. Within eight months of a brand new set of wheels and tires I went from 100% tire tread to about half its life.

I had my g slammed on bc coils over last winter and I picked up some 18s and didn’t realize they had such a crazy stretch on them at first. So for the next two weeks I had to drive to my cousins house for work, every morning in a development with absolutely brutal speed bumps. After the two weeks my 6 month old tomei catback looked like a waffle.
This is a great company with a superb website, went on a limb and checked to see if they have wheels for my 2011 Taurus Limited... A shitload of options, considering a future purchase. Liked and subscribed.

I meant to add on my first comment about going from a 18x8 with 225/45/18 to a 235/40/18 X 9.5. It’s literally a night and day difference on handling performance. Also the look is so good. You can see on my channel plus I got some BCracing Coilovers coming so I can take off my eibach pro kit lowering springs and KYB gas x struts. Lol
I curbed my wheel accidentally while i was trying to reverse next to a curb 😥😥😥 worst feeling of life/biggest rookie mistake

They don't recommend more than 3 stages of stretch but they say perfect stretch setup for a 9.5 for example is 215/35 which is like 5 stage of tire stretching wtf I'm I wrong?

Pretty much ever since I got my E34 I wanted to be part of that "stance" crew, get wheels that were poking out and run stretched tires. I've had my Rondell 0053 8.5 and 10 R17 for this summer and I've decided that I actually like the meaty setup better. I was running 225/45 in the front and 235/45 in the rear. I'll be putting up my wheels for sale this winter and will get some 8 and 9 style 5s or something and run the OEM setup on those. Can't wait.

got my boss at mazda to help me w what tires to get. dude set me up w actual fire tires that are hard, stretch nice and also cheap. just gotta SEE how long it lasts

I'm a bigger tyre kinda guy
I run 235 in front on a 19" 225 rim
I run 265 in the back on a 19" 255 rim
Fit really nice in the fenders, cool stance and look menacing from the front and the back
3 different mechanics told me it is fine

Bought a set of too large of a rim size for my car without even buying coilovers. Had them in a box for over a year trying to sell them.

I have a stretch tire because when I bought my g37 it came that way 🥺.... just spent $1100 for some new tires, not trying to spend another 1k for some wheels(rims)
My tip? Everyone has a different idea of what “supporting mods” are actually required. Try to find the person who’s broken the most shit and ask them. Everyone who says “you’ll only need it if you’re really really stressing it” is on borrowed time.

Handbraketurn with s small 195 on a 9,5J with 4bargates pressure. Tyre came back in original shape.

So tell me, the guy I bought my wheels from said a 235/45 will fit a 19.5 inch wheel. He had the same car as me, but he had a Genesis 5.0 R-Spec. I have the base 3.8 (sedan) and already placed an order on General Altimax tires. I couldn't go with a 245 bc it runs in the back.
He had Nitro Neo Gens and it had a bit of stretch. Can Generals stretch too?
Personally I would go with maybe Federal or Nankang as I know from what I have seen online from others that they stretch fairly well if not the best! Can't say I honesty have heard of people stretching Generals all that much, Hope this helps! - Erik

Nankang's are probably the most common
