The Deathwatch are a special forces group basically, made up of space marines taken from many different chapters - they serve the Inquisition (Ordo Xenos branch). The marines would usually return to their chapter eventually - if they survive. You should watch a video on Titus’ backstory :)
Please appreciate that we have waited 13 years for such banger of a game to release (since the first game). You now, neophyte, has all the awesome and cool stuff that we were dreaming about 10-20-30 years ago. 40k is about to become big and mainstream (for better or for worse). The Emperor protects.
There's a lot of criticism of 40k video games. Despite it all, environment is always their number 1 aspect. The massive techno-religious halls and the grand scale never gets old. XD
Hey man I’ve been binge watching your warhammer videos and I can honestly say I’m surprised you don’t have way more subscribers. Welcome to the community hope you’re enjoying the experience so far and keep up the good work
Each *dot* is equal to 50 years of service to the imperium of man which are called service studs, service studs can differ depending on the chapter, and time period that an Astartes Space Marine is living in Please don't hesitate to ask any of us for info man, including abt the characters in the game from the first Space Marine game and Warhammer in general
Deathwatch are like the 'Spec Ops' chapter that specializes in combatting alien (xenos) enemies and operate within the Imperium, specifcally the Xenos sect of the Inquisition. They are often used by Inquistion for their knowledge in alien weopons, tech, and biology. Gadreil was glazing you because Deathwatch members usually consist of varying chapters and legions, so he thought he was meeting someone from a different chapter, hence why he was trying to make small talk. Deathwatch are freakin dope!
I've been a Warhammer nerd for like 15 years. Getting to see just normal ass people out of nowhere discover and enjoy the IP is so fun to watch lmao. They made this game fucking gorgeous too so that helps!
So the critter that nearly kills you is a Carnifex, they are generally anti-tank or fortification busters serving the same purpose as the Dreadnoughts, walking tanks. You got the Bile Beast variant that throws acid at foes before attacking, this variant was engineered by the hive-mind to kill armored heavy infantry like Space Marines, the acid weakens armor then it destroys it. They usually are also equipped with crab-like crusher claws for 2 of its arms but this one has Scything Talons on all 4 limbs.
I know im weeks late but the Cadians are absolutely badass. "Cadia broke before the guard." The regular humans you fight beside were likely on the blown up chunks of their homeworld fighting the actual demons that blew the planet up. You can tell a Cadian from a regular guardsman by the purple glow in their eyes from exposure to the warp.
"Get off me! Get off me!" - A lore accurate 40k character fighting a Tyranid swarm on their own. XD

except some are blackshields and there as penance for some supposed crime or heresy

@@Crashtactic the colour of the stud matters too, gold ones are 100 years and silver 50 iirc

been absolutely loving the Warhammer content brother. Also, the dots on Titus' head are called Service Studs, each one represents 100 years of service
