What is your opinion of "Cleaner UI" as in bland stock Android vs feature rich OSs like Samsung or ColorOS,
They lack basic features like App lock, App Clones and until recently even native screen recording
Ranjit Sir has cleared the air surrounding Nothing 2A sluggishness & I've done the same thing of disabling Ram Boost feature upon getting it.
& haven't noticed any major leg yet although camera takes its sweet little time to open & that can be fixed through update.
I'm using NP2A from couple of days & it's performing admirably.
Why smart phone manufacturers not focusing on small form factor? ( less than 6 inches). Very difficult to carry the big size screes!

what if i am using an e-sim and there is an issue with my phone and it goes to the service center? with physical sim i can remove the sim and use it in some other device for some days till my primary phone comes from service center.
Hey Ranjith Sir... I'm using both 23u and 24u. while using camera in sunny situations the 24 ultra screen goes very dim. Not getting half brightness of the 23u... I tried it after updates also... Still the issue is there 😢

Btw thanks for answering the question. I am a big moto fan bcz of clean ui , fast charger in the box but very very very slow updated ruin the experience. My previous device edge 30 fusion hadn't got android 14 in jan 2024 ( switched to samsung )

I feel if someone does not necessarily save money on running cost, even then they can buy it, it’s not hard fast rule.
Thing is, people mostly prefer EV for saving money only but you can still buy a car even if money saving is not there (example people who buy vw Škoda cars for performance compared to Verna or city)
Similarly you can go for EV for true automatic, ease of use and great price to performance ratio. NVH and tiredness is also much lesser in EV compared to ICE
All these are intangible pros of EV which can’t be measured in money.
Besides, I’ve noticed that my car usage has increased slightly after getting EV
For example I went to see Oppenheimer and Dune 2 in IMAX theatre 20km away instead of normal 2D theatre 5km from my home. Had I not had EV I’d have simply gone to the nearby theatre.
That’s just one example. I took my car to the airport for a 24h wedding trip and parked it there, parking fee : 800, running cost : 0 (due to solar)
Whereas cab was ₹750 one way so I saved ₹700 over (1500 round trip) taxicab. Now this in specific maybe the inflation of cab prices due to their tactics where they deliberately jack up prices for airport/train station transfers due to monopoly

13:20 The entire point of using storage as RAM trend in mobile devices baffles me. It is more or less similar to swap, and as a backup for ram memory, can potentially be written on pretty frequently, thus reducing the overall life of the SSD.
Not only that, but there is also a huge difference in performance, especially since the entire concept of SoC aka System on Chip is having RAM coupled close to the compute unit to speed up tasks.
Additionally, normal users having 6+ gigs of RAM on devices might not even benefit from it. They won't even be able to make use of it since good memory management should mean that 6 or 8 alone is enough.
I suppose, marketing wins over good engineering practices.
Anyone who has studied OS in engineering knows that Swapping may relieve memory pressure but instead delegates all the swapping work to CPU ie wasting the CPU cycles and thus worsening performance
It’s just far more efficient for the CPU to force kill apps like iOS does, than use stupid swapping
Laptops and PCs have very large SSDs like 512GB or 1TB so swapping won’t have much impact even if they regularly do it. And those CPUs are also much much faster than mid range phones which mostly brag about ram booster, even faster than Apple A bionic chips
Even if they do swapping, the performance isn’t affected much because the chips are so much faster.
I donno why Ranjit skipped reviewing iphone 15 bvoz unlike other generations this 15 generation has significant updates overall.

Sir, my office is just 6.5kms away. So updown it is just 13 kms usage in Car. I thought of shifting to EV though i have a solar power at home and i am exporting 50kw extra to the grid. Now am i confused as you mentioned for that short distance EV wont makes sense.

Only tech enthusiastic will know about that virtual RAM gimmick. Don't understand why Nothing enabled by default. That would also reduce storage space for users. If someone is power user, they will enable it on own. But still I feel orginal RAM is sufficient for daily usage and gaming

I've watched two camera comparison videos of OnePlus 12 vs Xiaomi 14... In those videos OnePlus did a better job, especially in the consistency and balanced part, it did better than Vivo x100, the only thing where vivo did a better job was the portrait part and Xiaomi's cinematography video and that's it...
