Am planning to sign up for Portsmouth university during the September time and I don't really understand maybe I need to first enter a Nigeria university before I can be given a admission to the Portsmouth university as an undergraduate
I don't think that's the case you can come directly if you have all papers and maybe you would need to do their A levels of something but you can go on their websites and find out their requirements becauss I really don't know much about undergraduate.

Is university of Portsmouth better than heriot watt?
I can't really say as I've not heard of the other school you mention but University of Portsmouth is a pretty good school
How close is Portsmouth to Havant??
It's like 30 minutes by bus and less than 15 mins by train. Do you plan on living in Havant?

Yes there are part time jobs for students and it's not hard to get them.
