I think the team's passing game will be as good if not better than last season, provided everyone stays healthy of course. La Porta is only going to get better, same with Gibbs, and Peoples-Jones is two years removed from a 800 yard season and he's essentially playing on a prove-it contract so you know he'll be motivated. My only concern is no mention of McNeil. It's like no one, inside the team or within the media is really mentioning the guy, but he's the best interior DL on the team and if he has a year like he did last year he's going to draw a lot of attention on the FA market and may be too costly to keep. That is one area the team cannot afford to lose a good player at. Who's behind him? Onwuzurike? Cominsky is a baller but his production fell off last year and Reader is a run-stuffer, not a guy who's going to generate a ton of pressure on his own.
A lot of media has been talking about Mcneil and his impact on the team. Especially in regards to everything you stated. I think the front offices are well aware and already working on his contract extension as well (just like Brad mentioned that these things are in the works behind the scenes for a year before they even get mentioned while looking at the budget etc.) he is probably the next priority.
@@brandonbaty2291 I hope you're right because in my opinion he is on of the guys they can least afford to lose at this time, being as close as they are to closing the deal.
Ya I think they know Alim is here and is here to stay. After that offseason work he put in last year I think they know he’s a pros pro at this point. Just like they not worried about st brown. These are our core guys peni hutch st McNeil. They know who they got.
That’s how contract negotiations work. Otherwise there would be no negotiation. Lol. Every player tries to get the most and every team wants to pay the least. If the first offer gets signed, its a bad contract for one of the parties.
I obviously thank Sheila, Brad, Dan, and Ben. I also thank P. Manning and Roger Goodell for letting Manning do the ritual to get rid of the Bobby Lane curse..... cuz right after that, the lions started winning most of their games. I thought it was another 3 win season till they lifted that curse. Thank you for putting that in the script, Goodell.
Bruh, since the time I’ve been alive I have never heard our owner/GM/coach even put the words Super Bowl near the Lions. I didn’t mind it as much lol refreshing to hear there is an expectation of winning
The Locked on Lions dude is pushing the theory they're going to bring in the kicker from the Michigan Panthers (?). But NFL teams aren't allowed contact with players their league have under contract until their season is over. But they better be quick. He says there were around a dozen scouts checking the guy out. He's hit 4 FGs, I think over, 60 yards so far this season. Ford Field is their home field. Supposedly, during warm-ups, he hit a couple of 60 yarders that went in the net and would have been good from 70. I think it was yesterday. He said that maybe if the Lion's got a big-time money kicker, it would alter Cambell's aggressiveness. Me, I say, get the kid, and if he beats out Badgley, then he gets a big pay raise, and the Lions are money from 60 and in. Even if you don't always use him like other teams would. Some games it's better to kick and take the points on drives. On drives like that money's a good thing to be.
Nice to hear about how he feels about Antoine Green and DPJ, I think these guys are underrated pieces.
I feel you sir are correct! I like who we have

I was waiting for that Packer GM hating question…!
We know Brad … we know ! :)))
Goff must be asking for more than Brad is wanting to give, in money or length.
