    I wanted to thank you for all your incredibly helpful videos. I started learning to drive at 20 and was just too nervous, so gave up. I started learning again this year (I'm now 39) and I have just passed with 0 faults. Anytime I wasn't sure about anything I used your videos to help me. They were invaluable, thank you!

    I remember on my test I had to pull up on the left on the exact hill shown at 1:50! I used the handbreak method since I did my test in my own car and with it being older it was best method for me to use and got a compliment from the examiner for it! It was easier than I thought to do I just think it was my nerves at the time thinking I couldn’t do it 😂

      Just look at the little blue circle on the yellow bollard as the arrow will show what side to pass on. Normally it’s the left most of the time 👍🏼

    My driving test is in Bury I failed my first time due to tailgating a slow driver on the A14 as I tried to get myself on the A14 from the slip road but the slow driver didn't move lanes thats what failed my test my second go is tomorrow and finding this helpful

    Hello please can you do an English video on how to change lanes or merge onto a bumper to bumper traffic, showing how to use the mirror to avoid sideswipe collision on the car behind or beside you, both right side and left side?
    I know that if you driving on a highway, you have to see the full car in your side mirror before you change lanes, but I don't know how to change lanes or merge on a bumper to bumper traffic
    I also don't know how to enter into the road from a parked position into a bumper to bumper traffic both right side and left side. Please help me

      We never get bumper to bumper traffic where we live - but we did make this video:

    My test centre road has a hill start so I could stall on the first 20 seconds 😭😭 but pray I pass guys

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  Год назад +1

      So does ours! Plus it's a one-way road so if you are asked to turn right and accidentally use the left lane you could fail for that as well before you even leave the car park...

    Not sure about 4:06, a tester might view that situation a little differently perhaps

      You can't see from that camera view, but we had passed the stop line when the traffic lights changed so had to continue.

    Can you show a video doing hill starts with the new electronic handbrake
    I have a one year old ford focus
    And it's a nite mare doing a hill start
    I have been driving for 49 yesterday
    All the very best John, s

      In our experience electronic handbrakes release automatically when you drive off. Try that on a hill start - it should actually be easier than a normal handbrake. 👍🏼

    Clutch biting is a very silly system. A car should never drive on its own, by just releasing the clutch, without the driver accelerating. Cars should have anti-stall in 1st gear instead.

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  Год назад

      Funnily enough the very fact that modern engines have anti-stall is what makes it possible to move the car with just the clutch!

    • @john_scott
      @john_scott Год назад

      @@AdvanceDrivingSchool That's the point, the car should only respond to acceleration, by design. Releasing the clutch should never move the wheels, it's not true anti-stall. Perhaps expensive cars got it right, with the car I'm driving, I'm still able to stall the car, because I don't play with the 'improved' clutch the way the clutch wants me to. I'm back to driving after 20 year break. My observations are:
      1. Cars got better in many ways and at the same time worse in many ways
      2. People lost the sense of speed, to many fast cars used by younger generations, the cars that give the false sense of security
      3. Tailgating is a huge problem, esp. after dark; some people just want to 'follow the red lights', because it's easy and you don't have to use your brain
