    I have been watching your channel for the last couple of weeks leading up to my test. I passed today, first time with 2 minors. If it wasn't for your videos, I definitely wouldn't have passed. You've covered a lot I still wasn't sure about. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!!!

    I've been driving since 2009, I'm 34 years old and am always learning new things all the time on the road, you literally never stop learning. Unfortunately there are alot of drivers out there who DON'T seem to learn anything and just drive like idiots all the time. Subscribed

    Hi Advance driving, can you do a video on different types of road markings an example would be when approaching a roundabout the arrow will tell you to go left if you need to go left or to go right if you need to go right? And other car driving road markings situations where your told which lane you need to be in. Also how much fuel would you need in most cars which would allow you to get to most places in the country?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 месяца назад

      We made this video: ruclips.net/video/84NkaNkZOrI/видео.html
      You can calculate the fuel needed for any journey by diving the distance by the average fuel economy of the vehicle: eg 200 miles journey / 50mpg car = 4 gallons of fuel. 👍🏼

    The first 2 instances are such a bad design of road. A green light followed by give way line! What on earth that helps with? Secondly the faded stop line was so unfortunate!

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 месяца назад

      The green line situation is actually pretty common - but the missing stop line is just poor maintenance so shouldn’t happen.

    at 1:55 - if the traffic light turned red...would you have to wait at that giveway line or do you have to clear the middle waiting part?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  3 месяца назад +3

      The traffic light controls traffic crossing the solid stop line. Once you have passed that point you should ignore the lights and clear the junction once it’s safe.

    I understand why the best course of action is to only signal when it's safe to move off from stationary, but I fail to see why signaling before it's safe should always be marked as a fail, even if the driver doesn't move out when unsafe, effectively just giving a little "begging signal." At worse this is a minor nuisance, and the car behind is forced to overtake with caution, or decide to wait behind, allowing the driver in front to move off first. Obviously if one moves off without checking the right blind spot or making sufficient observations that is dangerous, but why should we be so strict with signaling?
    A lot of the test marking system is logical, but some of it I question, like the fact you get a minor fault for going the wrong way safely in a test. It's not a danger in real life, and would only be a problem if you need to be a taxi driver, or go the wrong way so often that you're late for work.
    What am I missing?

    • @AdvanceDrivingSchool
      @AdvanceDrivingSchool  Месяц назад

      Careless indicating when someone is behind you might cause the other driver to hesitate or brake sharply - as they may think you haven't seen them and are about to pull out. This is why the examiner gave a serious fault on that test.
