Carolin Widman's playing is graceful, radiates the finesse, amazing fluency and lyrical while so very precise intonation. The Rondo melody for the violin and the orchestra is charming, expressive, with a rich colour palette of sound. Schubert register the notes with fire and passion! Extraordinary performance, most talented violinist and a superb orchestra. Outstanding Director.

Bravo! Mitreißend, tänzerisch, gefühlvoll, fehlerlos. Da „passte" alles, nicht nur bei der Solistin, sondern auch beim Orchester und bei dem Dirigenten. Offensichtlich bereitete es allen Beteiligten große Freude.
Tolle Aufführung und sehr inspirierendes Violinensolo. Die Klanqualität ist sehr gut. Direkt abonniert und Daumen hoch für so ein klasse Video!
So elegant und interesant gespielt, nicht nur zahllosse Sechzehter, sonder auch sagehaft Bilder vorausstellt, wie eine Märchenerzählung!

'The Rondo A-Dur für Violine und Orchester' is a superb arrangement rich in tone, resonance, dynamics, vibrato and enchanting rhythms. Violinist C. Widmann performs the violin with amazing technique, feels the music and plays the Rondo with dynamism and eloquently. The orchestra is rendering it masterly. Absolutely beautiful balance in the sound. Conductor, A. O. Estrada is deep and profound.
I saw her yesterday in São Paulo. Still in love with here.

Anmutige Aufführung dieses romantischen Konzerts mit traumhaft schönen Töne der Solovioline und perfekt harmonisierten Töne anderer Instrumente. Der geniale Maestro dirigiert das perfekt trainierte Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo mit angenehmer Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!
und er dirigiert diesmal ohne Taktstöckchen - wie einen Chor, Schubert hatte ja ähnlich wie Mozart beim Komponieren speziell auch für die Geige immer die menschliche Stimme im Fokus. Maybe that is why. Und Carolin Widmann: fabelhaft. sie ist eins mit ihrer Guadagnini-Geige, und macht das Schubert Rondo zum Erlebnis. Das hr-Streicher-Tutti weiß das zu würdigen.

This Rondo is the closest cthing we have to a violin concerto by Schubert and yet it's so Mozartian, that one can hear the Count begging his wife "Contessa perdono, perdono, perdono!"

Didn't know of the existence of this music. If only we had a full concerto from Schubert but the Sonatas do say enough and one can imagine as Liszt did many things in concertanteform .

She plays a violin made in 1782 by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini.
Although this Rondo is more interesting than his Polonaise (from a day earlier), I can't see much evidence in it of Schubert's inspired originality or melodic genius. It has a Mozartian elegance, and I did enjoy it, but I've come to expect much more from the composer who wrote piano sonatas and a String Quintet (among many other works) straight from heaven. The performance is a fine one, nonetheless.

It is not a top drawer Schubert.
This performance lacks the cleanness and lightness this piece requires.
I love Schubert's music. It is a pity that he was too lazy to compose an entire violin concerto with three movements.
Yes it is a pity he didn’t write a VC. But, he wrote close to 1000 works and died not long after his 31st birthday. Lazy he wasn’t.
