Can't believe it's her first late night interview. Been following her for 10yrs ever since It Follows, and I always thought she was already a big Hollywood star. I hope she doesn't get so big she stops doing indie movies

This is one of those cases where it's better to not know the actors. I go into films cold without watching trailers (maybe a few seconds). Because I did not know her or that cage was in it… I got to know their characters. she's very convincing as Lee… everyone in the film is a mental case… when you know too much about the actors or a film trailer… The shock factor is hugely diminished. This thing is instant classic for me…
I think any late night talk show besides Seth Myers would be substantial, she certainly deserves it.
Maika is definitely one of the most talented younger actresses in the industry right now, with absolutely immaculate taste in the horror films she decides to take a part in.

Not mine. As s lifelong horror fan who started in the 80's as a child I can say she's no scream queen infact she's one dimensional and ruins the movies she's in. I was looking forward to long legs until I found out she was in it. I will pass.

She so talented and likeable. I saw people commenting she was nervous (lovingly) but I thought she shook it off really well with Seth's supportive presence and thought she relaxed into a nice back n forth banter.

At first, Radio Silence's "Abigail" was my favorite horror movie of 2024, but "Longlegs" is just in another level of serial killer horror, thus making it my new favorite horror movie of 2024, as well as my second favorite movie of the year, behind "Kinds of Kindness".
Also, Maika Monroe is amazing in horror movies, and thanks to the success of "Longlegs", I will be watching "It Follows" for the first time as part of my October horror watchlist.💯
Be sure to watch WATCHER an underrated slow burn from a few years back that no one ever talks about. She slays in that one.

I didn't love Longlegs personally but obviously it's getting critical acclaim and a lot of people seem to have enjoyed it.
I saw Longlegs twice. Polarizing like pretty much all of Oz Perkins' films. I'm definitely a fan.

An absolute feast for the senses for the genre fans. I nearly saw my eyes go pop when I first saw Nicholas cage just going for it completely batshit. , but also realising the very violent and troubled young woman in another scene allluding to Longlegs' influence was Sabrina's Kiernan shipka. she was great in this and so was ALICIA WITT>?!!
Really looking forward to seeing this film. Cage is doing the finest work of his career, and thats saying something! And Maika has impeccable taste! It follows is awesome and still blows me away! She also did a little strange film called Bokeh which is one of her lesser known ones. It was underwhelming on 1st watch, yet I keep going back to it. very underrated film.

I think the critic who said this was saying it’s the best horror serial killer movie since Silence of the Lambs, not that it’s as good as or better than Silence of the Lambs. They’re different movies. I thought LONGLEGS was more similar to Se7en if anything.
